Currently I'm at my mum's in coastal SC. I spend the winter with her before heading back to PA in late spring.

Mum and I went to Charleston today. The weather was lovely, sunny with temp around 70/21°. It was somewhat bittersweet without Thistle. He loved going to Charleston. We had breakfast at the small cafe where we usually do. I shed a couple tears remembering when we were last there in the spring. The three of us sat at a table outside to enjoy the weather. Normally we would walk along the Battery but because that was a particular favorite activity of his we forego that this trip. Maybe next time. I'd like to take a bit of his ashes to sprinkle in the harbor.

Dughlas I hope one day you will feel better! I know it was no fault of your's that this has come to pass.

I just hope your pain well one day lessen believe me I have lost many pets myself I was totally destoryed!

And one of my cats we had to have put down on Christmas eve so I know your pain. It has  colored my Christmas every year!

A friend from college will be staying with me tomorrow night as 2 of her flatmates have covid. One tested positif last week and the second one yesterday. Poor girl is very scared to catch it on and pass it on to her father who just got out of the hospital after a month there for some heart problems. Since the first flatmate has been tested positive she's been so scared to go back to her apartment that she's spending all of her free time at the college library and when she doesn't have a choice but to go home she's locking herself in her room using disinfectant every time she touched something. I told her to come tonight but she'd rather took a test in the morning to be sure not to pass it to me. I had to insist multiple times for her to accept as she doesn't want to bother me but I know she's very worried. I hope the crêpe party and some homemade dinner will lift her spirits. Covid sucks

There must have been some digital editing of the recording.  The quality of sound is much better than the recordings I have heard from this time period.
