Mom's kid's mom (does that make sense?) came without the kiddo, things are too raw yet. She burst into tears the second she saw mom, hugging her. She kept saying "it's just temporary, you'll have my kid to take care of in September. You'll get better cause I don't want anyone else to take care of him". It was heartbreaking.
