Hey Page!  I have to admit that your Max has better tastes, and is more adventurous with his food choices than I was as a kid. Of course when I was young Americans had very limited food experience. Mexican, Italian, Chinese and meat and potatoes.  I grew up on a lot of jello salads with canned mixed fruit. 🤢

There's a window beside the stove, and we have a little table in front of it, so the cats have a place to nap. Anyways, Yayo was able to jump onto that little table, then he jumped up on to the stove.

Oh, and we had ribs for dinner, and after we were done, we set the used bones on a plate (my mother likes to feed the animals outside). Well, that plate was on the counter, which should've been way to high for Yayo to reach, but what we didn't count on were the stools by the counter. Yayo began climbing up onto the rungs of the stool like his own ladder trying to reach the bones!

I've seen some vintage Jell-O recipes from the 60's that could only be described as "crimes against food". 

If anyone wants to try the recipe for Waldorf chicken salad that Max enjoys, I have it written here, towards the bottom of page 6.
