In better news, I managed to write a few paragraphs today. I started writing the story as a tribute to Max, after he began dancing ballet. It's about a kid who's running away from some schoolyard bullies in the forest, and he suddenly gets pulled "Sideways" into an alternate dimension, where items (and people) sometimes go when they become lost. 

The fantasy-world is loosely inspired by Arabic and Byzantine culture, and governed by a young prince, who oversees affairs of State while his father is busy fighting in a war against the Keepers. The Keepers want to hoard all of the lost items for themselves, but the human kings try to guard the detritus so that it can eventually pass back to its rightful owners.

The kid who came from Earth displays his ballet skills, and is met with respect and admiration from the prince (and maybe just a bit of a crush)

Oh. buddy... surely you know that isn't cool. I know you are a good person who would never deliberately hurt someone's feelings, so I think you should apologize to your friend and move on. And yes I'm fat. It's a fact and I've never hide it. Actually if you want to know my bmi says I'm overweight. I don't exercise enough and my diet is far from perfect add to that having pcos and taking meds.

But you wanna know something else? I'm happy as I am. It took me time - and sure I'd rather be slimer - but at least I'm happy enough that I don't feel the need to insult people. 

You are beautiful and sweet and funny with amazing wit. You are thoughtful and caring and a great friend to us all. We all love you, Tink,  and I know Albert does too, and I'm sorry you were put in this position.

You said exactly what I wanted to say, Clo. I've also struggled with weight issues, and I actually consider myself lucky to find someone like Morgan, who loves me in spite of my personal insecurities.

Most of my family (including me) have at least a belly on us. Honestly, I do have insecurities with my body, especially with my belly. Like, a few summers ago, my family and I went on vacation to Bolivar Peninsula on the Gulf Coast - I didn't take off my shirt when we went to the beach, because if I did, I felt like I'd be under everyone's microscope.

Hopefully, I can reach a point where I can let go of those insecurities.

For me it came with getting older (older not old huh ), since I've turned 30 I really don't care much and, as you said in your exemple, beaches and swimming pools can be big triggers but where I used to only notice slim amd beautiful" people now I'm noticing people are all shapes and forme and shocking news they don't care about my belly.

I'm not mad about Albert, I just felt a point needed to be made. Now I hope we can all move forward

Since when?  COTT is a free place, only following it's own rules (most, if not all, are about eye candies)

I can't wait for spring days... nice sun, a light breeze, the fresh air of renewals, birds singing and the smells and colors of flowers 

But I'm not complaining. After a few ugly winter days we're having boring 10°C and blueish sky 🤷🏻‍♀️

You need to, Drew. My weight has fluctuated wildly over the years, and twice I lost a lot of weight. I once gained weight on purpose to discourage my stalker because I didn't know what else to do. It was a low part of my life, and I understand all the complexities that come with carrying extra weight. I always felt this pressure to be fit and muscled up, and every so often I would break under that pressure, and the weight would pile on... really pile on. Vanity is a powerful thing, but all I care about now is being healthy and feeling good. I look back and see that looks are not important... it's who we are inside, and how we accept ourselves.

Immediately after Christmas, the temperature rose to 50F/10C, and most of our snow is melted now. First a blizzard, and then, just....gone.
