On a happier note, Max got an academic award for a report that he did in science class. We're taking him out to a restaurant of his choosing this weekend.

Tonight, though, we had broccoli-cheddar soup for dinner.

See here we were thinking such an endorsement wouldn't be necessary, but then the God-Emperor had to come out hard against it we realized this needed proper resistance.  Plus it's 2023, everybody has to make official statements about everything.
