It's just a pity my doctor doesn't have the same sense of humour.

Instead of constantly berating me about the danger of cheese to my cholesterol level (which is well within acceptable limits, anyway)

Garlic can lower your cholesterol by at least 20 points

You must measure cholesterol in different units your side of the pond.

My level is 4.3 over here. If I lowered it by 20, I'd be dead!

4.9 is the upper 'safe' limit, but the doc reckons I should be under 4, just because I'm type 2 diabetic...

But, yes, garlic is one of nature's Superfoods.

Sounds eerily like one of the chapters of Rachel Carson's 1962 groundbreaking book Silent Spring (Chapter title was And no Birds Sing, I think). Although this time it's man-made climate change to blame, not man-made pesticides.

Oddly enough, that book gets a mention in the next chapter of The Charmed Life of Danny Murphy, which I'm hoping to have ready to upload to GA in the next day or two.

Greetings Albert you too Marty. I am passable fair thanks. Today would have been my sister's 55th birthday. She's been gone just over 15 years now. Not sure why but this year it bothers me.
