Popular Post sandrewn Posted April 2, 2025 Popular Post Posted April 2, 2025 This man packed a lot into the time he was with us. A family man and successful actor. Val Kilmer - Wikipedia In 1992, film critic Roger Ebert remarked, "if there is an award for the most unsung leading man of his generation, Kilmer should get it." To be honest, if not for, Top Gun, I would probably not have noted his passing with any great interest. However, his role in that movie, caught my eye and when ever I heard his name, that is the picture, face and voice that always came to mind. Now, with his passing. 'Iceman' and 'You can be my wingman any time' will flash through my mind at the mention of his name. CassieQ Posted April 3, 2025 Posted April 3, 2025 It's interesting. As a 40 something, I remember him from Batman, and my Mother, in her 70s, remembers him from Top Gun. 2 3 Quote

Jason Rimbaud Posted April 4, 2025 Posted April 4, 2025 Val Kilmer, had a rough time dealing with fame and the trappings of being a leading man. He was at his best in supporting roles, like when he played gay detective Perry in Kiss Kiss Bang Bang with newly sober Robert Downy Jr beginning his comeback. This movie is highly recommended. And if you want something light, that really showcased Kilmer as a comedian, Top Secret, from the genius's? behind Airplane and Hot Shots, Kilmer shows off his voice as an Elvis's like star who gets involved with german spies. It's really funny listening to his original songs that sound so much like Elvis yet absurd as one can get while singing "we'll have fun with our guns until the lifeguard takes our ammo away" J 4 Quote
