Jon seems too much in a good space to attempt suicide. I'm thinking you're on the right track, though. I believe Jon's father has had another go at him and somehow the police are involved. I can't imagine what Joey is going through - knowing that his bf's father is physically abusing him regularly. He's putting together some kind of plan, though. I just see Joey lying in his bed at night hoping and not hoping that Jon will come crawling through the window. I couldn't deal with that.

I agree with you, but I'm just not sure how one of the schools students being sent to the hospital is grounds for shutting down an entire school. I think you might be on the right track though.

No, I won't say it, for fear that I will be right on and it will detract from the story. Suffice it to say that I have a very elaborate theory. But if you do see me jumping up and down shouting "I was right!", don't be too surprised.

 

Chances are I won't be right, though.

Well, there are some characters that you're allowed to kill off, but I agree, there are certain characters where killing them off kills the story.

I have to agree with TheNightB4 on the cliffy. It's a tough one.

 

As to the slowdown, I say we all PM Jamie some r's, include some capital R's as well. That way, he can just cut and paste them into the next chapter as he needs to. I'm such a computer whiz. :wacko:

 

My biggest question from that chapter was why did Jon change his mind about getting help around the physical abuse from his father. Up until now, he's always used the excuse of moving out to go to college. I just can't figure that out.
