  1. Cool. I know, it's like anti-climatic sometimes, the coming out thing.... But at least it's out. Maybe there is a rainbow and a pot of gold waiting somewhere....
  2. Umm..., I don't think you got my joke (or rather, a humorous gentle nudge..., which I often do instead of outright preaching). Let's try it again.... If you said she only needs her nose straightened in her face, I think she may not take it as a compliment. Better than telling everything about her is wrong, sure, but.... See what I mean? And you know..., if even the mother criticize her, that's pretty sad. Let's not rub it in is all I am trying to say.

    The Inquisitor

Was Philip searching for himself? In any case, I like the story. I hope you're feeling well, btw.

    Adjustments

Yeah,, I can remember what you just said, within my own life. I think that's because we're older. The young people will find propelling force, when they're dreaming going to the high cloud though, so let them touring in their adventure a little bit. Hope everything will falter gracefully when that eventual time comes, because even that is an amazing adventure. Life isn't always laugh or always cry. It's a mixture of both and they complement each other well, and perhaps make us appreciate each other more. Your blog reminds me of that good time and kind of encouraging in a way. Thank you.
  5. Nice read. I do love what I wear, but that's for me. I hope people do realize that. I used to wear something that's not me, only to "blend-in"... (I look like a fool when I was wearing what's in, rather than what's me). I don't think I care about brands more than I care what it is..., or is it for me? The irony is, people will still judge me for it. But I hope people can see things beyond the surface, as I think that probably is your point. Thank you Yettie for the thoughtful post.
  6. Oh, please.... One of my pet peeves is a cat who doesn't spit his fur ball in the kitty litter. j/k.... Would it help if your enemies are kind of nice looking? Okay, just kidding..., just kidding.... (*backing off slowly, but still maintaining eye-contact*) But seriously though, sometimes we need to find a silverlining in everything. Not like we're trying to be a sunshine, but at least it helps..., to ease some unhappiness, or at least to forget. Forgive those who trespass against you..., especially those who are kind of cute. Sorry.... Kidding again....
  7. OMG! What are you saying? I certainly hope you didn't say that in her face, because that's like..., bullying!

    Weather

Recently here in N. California is getting warmer. When you guys were reporting record high, it's colder than usual Summer here..., and now it's warmer (though I still haven't installed a fan in my room yet). The weather is weird. But our colder temperature is needed (we have plenty of cloud shades this Summer, unusual for California). Earlier this year, we didn't have any snow (warmer than usual Winter), so had we been hitting record highs like you guys do, we'd be in serious trouble (California relies big on melt snow for water source).
  9. We live in a shallow world, which probably will make you say, "duh!" LOL! So yeah, Podga, if people want to pick on you, they will. I was picked on back in high school simply because I didn't talk much (my English was poor and I was in a place I didn't want to be, so what to expect? But they didn't realize I could understand them just fine). I took steps like Methodwriter did (I was in advanced English class by the end of high school), and my senior year was okay. But where was I? Oh, I wish she didn't have to bow to the society's wrong doings, but you know..., sometimes I am ambivalent about it. Sure, it's the world that's wrong, but let's not hurt ourselves in the process. Some of them may not live to see their adulthood.... That's how bad it could be. I just wrote a response to Edward's post about job placement.... One of them from the article I quoted was "look the part..." I had a co-workers who worked for the org for a long time and she only became a manager after I advanced to her old position. And some people even complained about her advancement and downplayed her achievement just because she didn't look like a manager.... It's very shallow.... We cannot change the world, but we can change ourselves....

    What to do

If your current job is making you sick, I mean to the point of physically sick, then you need to move on. Because that physical sickness may affect your mental health as well (and they'll interact with each other). I also have a degree in BA, and also heard the same BS you heard when you apply for jobs (they just want to reject you, so but have no real reason. I've been rejected because "you have retail experience." Then why even bother to call me up. It's on the resume.... Or "boss has come back from a business trip" so are you guys hiring behind the boss's back?) When I ask them what kind of skills they are looking for, so I can improve myself in that field so next time they'll hire me, they'll either sound very annoyed, give hummed answer and couldn't answer, or simply hang up. It's very annoying. HR people are among the rudest people in the world. I have a friend in the HR. She said, just keep sending resumes. Her reason for that is, her boss, the HR manager if in her bad mood, would tell them to throw out every single resume that they received that day. The point is, a lot of times rejection has no reason, so don't feel bad. It is illegal to reject you base on prejudice, so they have to invent some reason. It's been like this for decades, and it's not going to change, so there is really no point for pouting over issue like this. Recently, there is an article I read about 10 Reasons You're Not the Boss. Here is the link: http://money.usnews.com/money/blogs/outside-voices-careers/2012/07/30/10-reasons-youre-not-the-boss Guess what, I've done everything except the last point: "You don't make your accomplishment visible." And the fact "You don't look the part" even on the top of the list gives you an idea what they're looking for and how you're assessed. Don't overthink. Just relax and let everything come naturally. What is yours will be your. What's not, well, try harder, if you really want it.

    Dreaming No More

Cool follow up chapter. Looks like Shay has a nice companion now.
  12. I like it, Stellar! I mentioned it to you I don't usually read sci-fi, but yours is a good read. Like Cia said, there are so many little things that keep you from wanting to find out more. The relationship between the three Spanish speaking people are mysterious as well. I am baffled about Shay's genetic disease, but you said it's not related to later story line. But in my head it might be a genetic disease like muscular atrophy or maybe some disease that affects metabolism (like it ages Shay faster than normal kids) or something that affects his life function. But that's just my head imagine things. :-) Your story paints a lot of detail on how Shay felt. I love how you describe his parents and the interaction between them. I am not sure if it's missing in the story, or they already did the paper work over the Internet (and have it digitally signed...). For a surgery of this scale, especially an experimental procedure, Shay probably needs to sign some liability waver and all that legal thingy before everything begins. I think have him looking at the paper work might lead to his bleak thought about death and not going to see his parents again. I have a feeling he is a bottled up inside kind of person, and very precocious for his age, so a very well written characterization! Great start!
  13. It does sound like an ambitious project. How are you going about to gather source materials? It looks like it's going to be great for the gay community and put things into perspective in a more grassroot sort of way, the ones that common people can relate more. I'll look forward to see your final result.
  14. Now go print that photo in poster size and hang it behind your bedroom door and write it in marker, "Well Done NASA!!!" LOL!
  15. Yeah, everything turns out fine in your family, that's pretty much everything you need to reassure yourself. Now what's the plan? Are you going to find your heart's desire (or did you ever have one that you wished you'd tell your affection to?). Don't worry about the eldest brother. He has lived longer than you have. If your other siblings can accept you, he probably can too.
  16. I guess you're too new to be creating blogs.... Just keep posting and hang around. There is also a forum called Administration Communication. Ask admins about it.
  17. http://news.yahoo.com/blogs/trending-now/mohawk-guy-becomes-star-nasa-mars-landing-173507110.html LOL!!! Not everyone watching the mission is curious about the life on Mars.
  18. Click on your name on top right corner. It'll give you a drop down menu. Click on Manage Blogs. It'll prompt you to give your blog a name (not the entry's title, but the entire blog's nickname, like "Warrior1's Blog" or something more creative. ) Follow the instruction. After that, click on that blog name, and Click on Add Entry button near top right corner, and start blogging.
  19. It's not for you. You can do whatever you like. Just assume I was just thinking out loud.
  20. Because I thought you were gay. And now it seems you're not even bisexual....
  21. So you're a metrosexual.
  22. Versatile, what's that? Replace that with insatiable... now we're talking. Can't believe you are the one who is preaching me. This is just... wrong.
  23. Very cool. I hope they'll use the information well! Great job.
  24. Surprisingly graphics, but you worded perfectly... (I can already smell it... YUCK). Yes, it takes more than 10 seconds for bottoms to feel something. It is a lot psychological not just prostate stimulating, and I think strict top boys should take note of that, so it does take time (I think I am giving Y_B some awful and WRONG thought now...). And kudo on the explanation why some of us are strict bottom thing.... Linguica (or was it another guy...? in any case, it's dated memory now) told me I was too eager to please. It was kind of revelation to me, though I didn't try very hard. I realized it could be a turn off or reason for a guy to back off (for one reason or another). But yeah, I think I can understand you just fine. I just want my (would be) partner to be happy. I hope they wouldn't overthink too much. It's that smile I want to see.... It doesn't have to be sex... (but sex is extra bonus. Okay, I am saying too much... People might get the wrong idea about me... LOL!).
