Agreed, its definitely a good life skill to be able to swim, and 2. being in some kind of organized sport is good for youngins. Anyways I played school basketball for 7 years (started in grade 6), and spent most of that time playing for 2 or more teams (3 teams for most of that time period). So it was literally basketball 6 days a week for me for a long time. I also have all my swimming stuff done. Havent played basketball in a long time though. Present day physical activities are skating/running in the summers snowboarding in the winters.

Baby anything, except humans. Human babies are ugly, until they're about 1 or 2 years old. Then they're crazy cute for awhile. everything in this video, especially the little guy at 0:13 http://www.youtube.c...h?v=3RwGC4I5JAc Also, nearly everything in this video. Be careful of the volume, the music starts somewhat suddenly, and is a tad loud. </thread>

I have tons of bookmarks also, but they're all sorted into various things. Music links, computer stuff, art stuff, random links of interest at some point in time. I dont really think theres really any pressing need to deal with bookmarks, its not like they really take up space or anything 1. Coolest House in the Neighborhood skit 2. Texts From Last Night 3. The Ronin Motion/Art Studio

Thanks everyone! It is greatly appreciated!

I meant the emboldened bit, and nothing else. Basically to clear this whole thing up, your last sentense is exactly what I was saying. At no point in anything I said did I mean that people whom are obese (or anything outside of the majority, black, gay, born with some kind of disease) deserve to be discriminated against, or made fun of. I thought I was somewhat clear about that when I said that I didnt hate them for it. What I was saying is that if you are a certain way by your own choices, which require you to be accomodated for, then you should pay for that service. Using the problem at hand with obese people and paying for seats, I do feel that if someone choose to eat themself into obesity (one way or another, for whatever reason that may be. On an industrial scale, discriminating between one story and the next is not practical) then they should pay to be accomodated for However I also said that this is difficult at best to implement, because some people, are just big human beings. One of my friends whom I played basketball with, is 6'8, almost 300lbs, and I can assure you he is one of the most physically fit people I know. He's just a big person. If we could accurately seperate such differences between biology and conscious choices, then I say go for it. You mentioned swapping out 'large' and 'fat' for gay, bisexual etc. I feel that this is not fair, nor logical to do. I cannot think of an instance, in which a person would need to be accomodated for because of their sexuality, or whom they choose to be with, or what they choose to look like, IN A PRACTICAL SENSE. The only cases in which these would become relevant, is if they were being refused something on the grounds that they were gay, or whatever, which I DID NOT, say was ethical or fair. Hopefully that was more transparent in meaning.

Indeed it is quite sad yang. It is possible for people to lose the weight, but after that threshold you mentioned, it is an extremely arduous and long path. Many people simply do not have the strength of character, and strength of will to overcome such an obstacle.
-
LOL. On another note, cool idea kinda. Not much more to say about it besides that lol

Pretty much I feel this is a hard issue, because of what yang says below. If someone is of a large size due to biology, they shouldnt be penalized for it. However, if you are overweight because of your lifestyle, well sorry, I dont hate you for it, but you must suffer the consequences of your actions. To that end, I'd say that this policy walks a very fine line. People who are biologically big, very very VERY rarely come close to those who are morbidly obese size wise (Say, 300-350lb+ non muscle weight.) Personally I say, let them charge people. If you take up two seats, you should pay for two seats. However, they must also make those seats big enough, to accomodate those whom are simply big humans (like say, shaquille O'Neal or anyone whom is generally big.) If they are able to find a good balance between making seats large enough to fit people whom are big naturally, and those whom are big because of their choices/lifestyle, I say go ahead, its fair game. Werd. Basically exactly what I said in the above to reply to lacey I just thought I'd be a jerk, and say that everyone has their own gravitaitonal field, regardless of size Also, Karma is a laughable concept at best (at least karma as most people understand/use it), but thats an entirely different discussion

At this point in my life I feel quite clear on what I want from it. I want to be able to skateboard as much as possible I want to be able to snowboard as much as possible I want to be able to find, create and indulge in good music as much as possible I want to be able to find, create and indulge in good art as much as possible. I'd also like to have kids at some point in my life. Anything else I sincerely feel is unimportant. I'd like to change the world as cliche as that is, but I dont think I will, and I'm at terms with that. In all honesty, all I want from my life, is to be able to live it, in my own way, without other people/systems telling me what I should be doing. If my thinking will remain along these lines in the coming future, I'm unsure. Perhaps not as I become further indoctrined into adult life.

I too find myself in the ipod touch clan. Love them, but always had issues with the lack of freedom on apples part. Customizeable icons and backgrounds should be standard, not something you have to jailbreak to achieve. Very unimpressed with apple in the firmware/OS department on those fronts. Their monopoly on the pmp market has left them slipping severely in quality. Besides the less then impressive os I do quite like the devices however. Audio quality is a big deal to me also, however mp3s that I listen too arent always the greatest quality. I like to try and get at least 192kbps out of the files, but even this isnt really amazing. Quite simply if you're listening to MP3's your not as serious about audio as you might have thought lol. Its a convenient compression format, however its a lossy format. If you absolutely must have crystal clear sound, then you need to go lossless, and off the top of my head I dont know of any devices which can play lossless formats. Either way its not a huge issue to me. As much of an audiophile as I am, I'm not one to shell out for sound quality alone. anyways to answer your questions more Do you have an MP3 player or PMP? - Yup What brand? Model? - iPod touch 16gb, 2nd gen Are you loyal to this brand? -Somewhat What is the most important feature of an MP3 player/PMP? (i.e. sound quality, battery life, price, storage) - Combination of the above. I need it to be durable, easy to manage and use, somewhat good looking, not mega expensive, and have decent battery life. What do you think of mobile phones as MP3 players? -Not really my cup of tea. Convenient for the most part, however the applications I've used besides the iphones have left much to be desired

oops, deleted for the double post. Sorry!

If you wanted rush I could try one also. I do have a fairly long resume with photoshop lol, the issue is that my photoshop use is mostly for digital abstract art lol. Anyways if you wanted feel free to send me a pm with what you'd like, I could whip up something tomorrow, and see what you think. It'll give me a good excuse to work in ps again

Passions- Music, snowboarding Passionettes - Art, skateboarding. I've always said if you know those 4 things about me, you know what 95% of my life is (not including my family, which I obviously love, but I dont get the same feelings of fufillment and belonging from my family that I do from snowboarding, or listening to/creating music.)

Virgin here. Messed around but never had full fledged sex. Never messed around frequently enough to say I lost my virginity from alternative forms of sexual contact either.

I'll break down the main characteristics of Drum and Bass, Fidget House, and Dubstep right quick, cause they're all pretty much related lol. Generally speaking Dubstep is a breakbeat (Not 4/4 time, Rap is another example of break beat, because the kicks do not land on the same beat of every bar, in every measure) hence the beat sounds 'broken'. Drum and Bass is also breakbeat, however the drum loops are much more complex and 'full'. BPM range is usually in like, 175 and higher. Fidget House IS NOT breakbeat. Its a 4 to the floor kick (4/4) in the background giving it that sterotypical house/electronica feel. In terms of leads and synths, Dubstep uses whats called a 'wobble bass' which is a bass synthesizer who's cutoff filter is being lfo'd or swept, back and forth. This gives it a wobbly sound. Thus the name lol. Dubstep also resides in filth and grime. The more distorted, mashed, sharp, dirty, nasty, and any other such adjectives a dubstep lead is, the better (for the most part). If you just youtube wobble bass you'll find tons of tutorials explaining it, and you'll hear an example lol. Now drum and bass also uses a wobble bass commonly, however there are many subgenres of DnB. Since I basically listen to Liquid DnB exclusively, I cant speak much on the darker DnB Tracks which would make heavier use of a wobble. Thus, I'm basically gonna say DnB is a fast breakbeat, with anything they want over top musically, because thats really what it comes down to lol. Fidget house, is a newerish brand of house, which came into popularity with artists like Crookers, Jack Beats, Will Bailey, Afrojack (Although afrojack does alot of minimal too). Its called fidget because well, it tends to sound fidgetty. Lots of wobble bass use, wobbly synths, erratic percussion, lots of hits, beat changeups, one shots, stabs, etc give it an always moving, fidgeting feel. Some fidget tracks Crookers - We Are Prostitutes Anyways some DnB Tracks Lazee ft. Neverstore - Hold On (Matrix & Futurebound Terrace Tantrum Mix) [Note: I did the video edit to this song myself here Not linking it for advertising purposes, but because I know it will be a high quality file of the song, I think I used a 320 kbps one] Will add a couple more when I get back from classes!
-
I've dabbled in dubstep, not really my deal. I prefer to stick in either fidget, or DnB (as dubstep is like a mix of the two) Although I do listen to a couple dubstep producers once in a while, its not my main scene. Rusko Excision Cookie Monsta Joker Caspa Tek-One J.Rabbit ^^^ Are some big names in dubstep I've been seeing lots of. I personally only listen to Cookie Monsta, the grime in his tracks is unreal lol. Cookie Monsta - Ginger Pubes <333333333333333 PS. The drop at 2:07 is orgasm inducing. I should also warn that this track is not for the weak of heart lol. Pretty intense heavily distorted leads. Sounds like noise to most

Well I'm glad you enjoyed the tunes haha. Uhh Yeah when it comes to electronica or electronica based music, I'm pretty well versed in it. This stuff isnt really housey, like, it has a few house elements in it (lots of 808, 303 percussion etc) but it not really part of that genre. Mostly its a newer genre which has been steadily emerging over the past 3-5 years. Early in the 21st century you might have noticed many artists started taking more creative liberties with their genres' branching off into others. Basically This stuff (Indie Synth pop, electropop, synth rock etc.) is the result of subsequent blurring of genre lines. Not to say no one has ever made music like this before, its just becoming more prevalent lol. If you liked Two Door Cinema Clubs stuff, I'd suggest finding and downloading their tourist history album. The rest of the tracks on there are very much like the two I posted. To answer your question about raves, well it depends what you mean by a rave. The vast majority of people have an extremely limited understanding of electronica, and the scene it thrives in (hence how people call artists like Cascada, techno, when in fact, techno is a much darker, and heavy sub genre of electronica, more akin to industrial, Hardcore, Hardstyle Hardhouse, etc. etc.) To most people anything with a 4/4 kick and a synth lead is techno lol. To me, raves aren't really a good label for what I attend. For me, raves are usually outdoor events (or held in large indoor spaces like warehouses) that last over the course of many hours. Also a rave is usually held in the extreme underground of the culture, if you aren't "in" you won't hear about it. In addition to this, raves usually do (unfortunately) include a good amount of substance abuse. What I attend are shows, when specific DJ's/Producers I want to see are on tour and make it into my city to a club to play. I frequent those quite a lot. So far I've seen The Bloody Beetroots, Steve Aoki, Le CastleVania, Felix Cartal, and MSTRKRFT live. So do I attend raves? Not really. Am I active in the club scene, specifically as it pertains to artists of interest coming here, yeah lol. PS. You might want to hold back on the use of curses and stuff in your posts, even if they're like f**k (bleeped out with asterisks or symbols), as its agains't the TOS (yes even for **** and such) and will likely get you into some trouble with the mods if you keep it up Just a friendly warning. A curse here or there usually isnt the end of the world, just keep it to an absolute minimum. Anyways I'll continue this post another time, I have to head off to class!
