  2. Well I don't think it was a matter of "dreaming far enough" to get caught, but rather that when you recreated from memory, you would lose your grip on what was a dream and what was real. In addition to this the whole thing with limbo was not that it was inescapable but rather that the compounded time effect was so intense, you could spend a couple real-time hours in limbo, and have lived 50 years in the dream. In the movie it addresses him not being able to see his kids, because the dream is a memory, and he cannot "create" anymore of the memory which doesnt exist. He said that he left before he got a chance to see his kids faces one last time, and as a result the dreamworld recreation of the memory is "incomplete". At the end of the movie he sees his kids because its no longer a dream. You could argue that he was unaware that he was dreaming, and thus created them himself, but there is plenty of evidence to refute the idea that he failed to make it out.
  3. Well the only way this could be true is if your theatre got a different print of Inception than mine did lol. A couple of my buddies whom I work with are projectionists, and after having put the print together into one continuous reel, neither confirmed that there was anything at the end of the credits. I havent stayed to the end myself, so I cant say 100%, but I dont see any reason why they would lie to me lol. That'd be somewhat interesting if there were actually prints of the movie floating around which gave some closure. Btw for the record, I'm thoroughly convinced he got out, and was not dreaming.
  4. My top 5 is presently 1/2/3 - Inception, Fantastic Mr. Fox, How To Train Your Dragon (3 way tie) 4/5 - Crash, Man on Fire (tie) honourable mentions Thank you For Smoking Lucky Number Slevin Pulp Fiction
  5. I'm pretty simple when it comes to style. I kinda like bright colours occasionally, but not too much. I generally colour co-ordinate. I've found recently I've been wearing alot of primary colours. Blue, red, yellow. Jeans are nearly always raw indigo washed, and selvedge, with a slim straight/fitted cut. Works out well enough for me I'd say Oh and shoes. Gotta love my kicks
  6. Anything by lady gaga that she released after just dance. Anything by justin bieber. Most of the top 40 stuff. Pretty much if its mainstream music, I probably wont like it. *shrug*
  7. Back in the day I used to play a lot a lot of Gran Turismo. Well, my favourite car was the Nissan Skyline R34 and I always used a version of that car I had race tuned in the game when I was playing. As a result my friends began to just call me skyline when we'd play because I was the one who was always in it The nickname stuck with me even when we all moved on from playing playstation and I've used it as my alias ever since (like 10 or 11ish years now). Fin.
  8. Don Diablo - Who's Your Daddy (TAI remix)
  9. Lol oh man the old xbox vs ps horse corpse. Anyways the only correct answer to this whole thing is as you have said, which suits ones individual needs better. To that effect I'd say some of the pros and cons you've used are entirely irrelevant (for example which console does best in sales, this shouldnt really have any affect on your decision making process at all. It isnt you who sees the profits after all.) To start I'd like to say I own and use, both systems (We also own a Wii, but its for the siblings). Following that I'd say I prefer the Xbox. I find the GUI of the system itself to be far superior, as well as XBL. I have no interest in 90% of the core playstation titles anymore (such as final fantasy) and I download my movies in blu-ray/1080p on my computer, so I have no need for a blu-ray player. I have pretty big hands, and find the controller to be extremely uncomfortable when playing for any real length of time, which adds to my overall favoring of the xbox. I could write a novel on this subject, but I dont feel its really worth it lol. I personally feel xbox is better, based on my individual needs and tastes.
  10. Happy belated birthday steve! Hope it was great
  11. happy birthday manu!
  12. We have a couple. They're pretty sub-par though. Grand Beach would be the best, but thats only because of its sand. Doesn't really compare to the ocean or like the Caribbean, but its a large body of water, so meh.
  13. New pic from the beach the other day. It was nice then for the first time in like weeks. So much rain lately :<
  14. Yeah man, MSTRKRFT was pretty solid. JFK recently came back and played a show by himself, but I couldnt go as I had an exam the next day :<.LAZRtag is in a couple weeks, and then Steve aoki round 2 in september Also Hecq is super good. I'd recommend checking out his 0000 album. I was really into him when I was big into IDM/industrial.
  15. Pretty much I'm a city boy and always have been. The way it looks now, I always will be. I prefer a fine line between privacy/isolation, and connectivity/metropolitan living. I'll probably end up living in the suburbs, in some work of post modern architecture. Clean cut and streamlined concrete, steel, and glass. I love/live for that stuff haha. A few dashes of green and plant life thrown in here and there, and I'm set
  16. Hmm, there seems to be a pretty strong reaction to this thread coming in from all sides. I figured I'd just throw my bit in there Pretty much, I'll be the first to admit that I stereotype. I'll look at someone and be the first to decide if I think they're gay, straight, this, that or the other. However, I dont no let these stereotypes (to the best of my ability) interfere with how I interact with, and treat people. I cant remember wherefrom, but I remember hearing/learning (depending on what you believe ) that stereotypes are another form of vestigial structures so to speak. Basically, at one point, stereotypes were likely a form of survival mechanism. If your tribe was not friends with x tribe, and they looked like y, it would be good for your health to avoid running into more y-looking people then you could safely fight on your own. Obviously, this social dynamic/mechanic isn't especially useful these days, as you usually dont have to worry about fighting everyone simply on the basis they wear prada Anyways, my point is, its pretty much useless to try and fight the "stereotype" gene, and it is much better to focus on the next step of the equation; making the conscious effort to say to yourself, "Despite the fact I heard gays are terrible with machines, I'm going to ask my friend whom happens to be gay for help fixing my car." People are so fixated on the stereotypes themselves, which are much more difficult to deal with. It seems to me that everyone accepting that we stereotype is a much better goal, followed by working towards combating the urge to act based on the (often false) ideas surrounding stereotypes and what they mean about the people they're attatched to. To answer the questions raised by the OP, I can see what you mean about it being aggravating how many traits and skills one might have, are often traced back to a totally irrelevant quality you have, namely, being gay. I have more to say on this issue, but must go for now! I shall edit later
  17. Mustard Pimp - **** That World Exclusive Mixtape present song in the mixtape = DJ Bam Bam - Monkey Buisness Sorry about the explatives :< Thats what the mixtape is actually called! O:
  18. I chose the last option, because it really is the truth. Attraction is a very subjective thing, everyone likes what they like. There are of course some things which are liked more often then others, but in reality, no one could ever be the hottest, or ugliest in the world, because some people will differ in opinion. I'm not really one of the norm I dont think, I dont find guys of the celebrity type attractive. People like Taylor lautner, Ryan reynolds, Brad pitt, etc etc dont do anything for me. I've been told by people or heard from friends that so and so thinks I'm hot (as I'm sure everyone has at some point in time) but I wouldnt date myself. I dont possess the traits which I find attractive in a male, which I think is somewhat funny Anyways Hot and not, beautiful and ugly, are all up to the person whom is seeing you at that point in time. Just my $0.02
  19. "Oak tree, Mighty, Determined, Successful, and sometimes, a little nuts about your personal care" xD
  20. Yeah, I kinda felt similarly about the trailer. I liked it, but didnt like it at the same time. It isnt true to the Mortal Kombat canon in many ways (Which is a fairly decent storyline/universe if I do say so myself haha) and it often times felt like it was taking itself too seriously. I mean you can rip peoples heads off in the games Theres a bit of sillyness in all that. We shall see though I suppose. In regards to the game, I havent enjoyed a mortal kombat since UMK3, and that was pretty much my game of choice in my youth (the MK franchise that is). I dont really hold any high expectations for this one
  21. I wish I could grow real facial hair One day! Nice pic man
  22. Yup, thats generally how I feel. Just like kindergarten, keep your hands and feet to yourselves. Regardless of if you've got a bucket or a hose.
  23. The valedictorian of my graduating class quoted a bunch of that story. Its fairly common in graduation speeches I think

    iPad

^ This. With an enthusiast grade desktop, laptop for school, and an ipod touch, I really have zero use for the ipad. Is it cool? Absolutely, I love my touch. Is it worth my money? Absolutely not. Also the fact it lacks alot of basic things like usb ports is a huge turn off for me. At 600$ I expect a bit more then an oversized ipod touch. Just my thoughts though
