There short updates are killing me also but I'm really liking it. What is an Orphic? (heh. I'm ignoring the title). I want to know why and how Tek failed to protect him. Still hoping for blood retribution on the uncle and cousin and I'm looking forward to next Wednesday.

All caught up! Its funny that Zak didn't see the surprise party coming. I guess its some of his self confidence issues coming up but I think Dusty is doing the best work possible to increase Zak's confidence. I'm really looking forward to Zak's school experience now that he's gained some self assurance. One final comment: Mattie seems too perfect. I'd like to see some character growth there as well as some more interaction with his family. There is an opportunity for a lot of conflict there. Thanks for posting. I enjoyed this chapter.

I'm really happy that Spin has a horse of his own now as well. It's amazing that all four boys have a great horse that's a match for them.

I'm following this on the other site also and can't wait for you to catch up. BTW, everyone who can should watch "Buck". It's a documentary streaming on netflix. The latest chapters reminded me of the trauma some horses go through and the best ways to care for difficult and/or abused horses.

I see the challenges you mentioned that Zach will face in the future as he adjusts to a stable environment. I'm sure there will be a bunch of hiccups along the way but I trust Scott and Noah to do what's right. Great chapter and thanks for posting!

This chapter touched my heart. I think that taking care of Zach and exposing himself to the the hope and joy of a 4 year old boy will help Scott heal.

I hope they both reach a point where they're comfortable telling Eric. After he gets over his initial shock, anger and disappointment that they didn't tell him sooner he will become their strongest ally. I'm so worried about what is going to happen next. I want their relationship to succeed really badly!

I had my suspicions and I'm glad that he's still alive. Once again Mira's POV is my favorite and I really enjoyed the workaround of how he survived. I envision total complete control of the body's inner and outer workings and the ability to accelerate and focus healing throughout everything. Mira's like a young Wolverine! Great chapter and I can't wait to read their reunion.

I don't know how I missed this chapter. I had a chuckle with their collusion against the pledges. It's going to be fun reading what happens next.

Man. This was a train wreck of a chapter. The relationship is getting MORE complicated instead of going anywhere and it seems that they're started on a route to an unhealthy relationship. I suppose that it's been almost a decade since my freshman year of college. I hope that explains why I really can't understand what the hell is going through Corbin's mind right now. That said, his actions are totally believable.

And things are getting complicated. I would really like to get into Pete's head to find out what he's thinking and I hope that Lee doesn't get hurt too badly when things go sour. He seems like a good guy. On Beriut- I hope that your insistence on calling it by it's proper name means that you're familiar with the history of real pong with paddles and more beer. It's a lost art sadly.
