Peter's part in all this is one of the bigger ones, but it won't be felt for many many chapters. Farrell's offer to Belsport is partly to offset the bind he put them in but also partly to test his idea. What good is an idea if there is no means to test it. If Miceral has his way, this little test will net Farrell and his treasury a tidy sum. Not that he needs it at this point but if and when the war ends, there will be kinda a need for capital to rebuild.

Happy Birthday!!! Hopefully you're doing something fun to celebrate.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MJ!!! Do something fun! Do something happy. But most of all, do something you can post on line and regret tomorrow.

[Cia] Ebook: Pricolici on Sale Today!
Andrew Q Gordon replied to Cia's topic in Promoted Author Discussion Forum
Uff - totally forgot to buy it in the hubbub on 'lil q's stuff - remind me again why I thought this would be fun. Oh and FYI, it would have been nice if you post a link to some where other that Amazon on this post. I don't happen to own a Kindle. Perhaps I'll just skip buying it because you're making me go to your website to find a different link. -
Happy Birthday Brian. Hope it's a good one - free from getting in fights to help your friends would be a good start.

Dave, GeR Thank you both for all the support. There is always a bit of symbolism in any story someone writes. The inspiration for the idea has to come from somewhere after all. I don't think that consciously I do a lot of deliberate symbolism. I just write it as I 'see' it. Of course that is totally influenced by my world view so what can I say. We both appreciate the support. Andy -
Dave, First, thanks for the shout out on your status update Second, Darius is fiercely loyal to the Prince and his family. He is one of the good guys - as we'll soon see. What Farrell however was put the Prince over a barrel. Kill Meglar's agents and bad things could happen. Unlike Wilhelm, who is rather shrewd and politically astute, Darius didn't see the possibilities as quickly as Wilhelm. Wilhelm used Farrell's actions to get something he desperately needed/wanted - a grand master wizard ally who has a large army. He used Farrell's guilt/feelings of responsibility to extract an alliance that worked more in his favor that Haven's. So no, Darius isn't a snake, neither is Wilhelm, but Wilhelm is not one to take lightly. Fortunately, Farrell has surrounded himself with advisors like Horgan and Nerti who can out shrewd the best of them and he is wise enough to know they are better at it than he is.

Dave, Today was your birthday, you weren't supposed to be giving out gifts, you were supposed to get them Thanks for the review. Yes it was meant to be more of a roller coaster than some books and it was also meant to show a more human, real side of our characters. I'm glad you picked up on what we tried to do. You're right it is not a sugary, sweet story that you'd pick up for a bit of light, reading. But I think you captured it pretty darn well. So thanks for reading and for recommending it. Andy -
Since it is my privilege to call you friend, let me be the first to say: HAPPY BIRTHDAY DAVE!!! May you have many more happy years ahead!!

Dave, I don't think there is anything sinister behind the guard's comment, other than what Miceral suspected was a bit of inappropriate flirting. Of course, there is a major conflict going on, so it IS possible that Meglar might be lurking just around the corner, but who can say. But I'm something of a romantic so i'm hoping the boys get a chance to have some fun and maybe walk a bit funny when they get home But that's just me.

Thanks GeR, glad to hear you liked it. I don't really see a sequel, we're both working on other projects and this was meant to be a stand alone. If anything there would be a 'like' kinda book, but there is nothing in the works on that for now. Thanks for being the first to comment. Andy -
Happy Birthday TJ - 21 and counting

Toss-Up Tuesday: Interview With Myr
Andrew Q Gordon commented on Trebs's blog entry in Gay Authors News
Myr, your 'interview' answers sound like you were talking on chat short and to the point. Good to see you're consistent Add my thanks to everyone else. Without GA, I would not have gotten published. -
Thanks Runner, everything you said is spot on how I feel. 'lil q is too young to know why we were upset. Like you said, managing the end was brutal. He rallied just a bit at the very end, when I was walking him in to see the vet. When he looked up at me I nearly broke. It was almost like he was asking me not to do this. But he hadn't eaten, wouldn't eat, barely drank, barely moved. he'd gone as far as we could have hoped, and I knew it was time, but that look will probably haunt me forever. I want to think it was his way of telling me goodbye and that I was doing the right thing, but I still have moments when I feel like he was asking me to take him home. I will never know for sure. But thanks, your post shows quite clearly I'm not the only one.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY CONNER!!! From one young goat to another Hope it's a great day. Andy

Sorry I missed this, must have been thrown off by the public denial. Hope it was a great one. Andy

You know Dave, we can't compare ourselves to these two, they're just on a different world than we are Without knowing more - Farrell did seal the room after all - I'd venture that the boys find plenty of energy for the rest of the night. It's the morning that might be problematic. But what do i know.

Chapter 49: Moving On
Andrew Q Gordon commented on Andrew Q Gordon's story chapter in Chapter 49: Moving On
Thanks for taking the time to let me know - I see you created an account today. Glad you enjoyed it. This took a bit out of me to write so it's good to see the emotions made it to the readers. Again, thanks for the comments. Andy -
Harry, Thank you. I tried to respond using my phone but it went poof. I'm sorry the last few chapters were a bit rough, but that was their story and how it unfolded, I'm glad you still enjoyed it. As for other characters, yeah, I'd like to get to them - especially Ethan - but time is such an issue for me lately. I'm not saying I'm not going to write more about these characters, I'm just not sure when I'll get to them. Maybe sooner than later, depends on how other things I'm working on shake out. But again, thanks for reading and the kind words. Andy

I've said before I see this as some thing of an end of days type story. I just need to flesh it out. I also see a lot of heart ache a long the way for Trevor, Nick and Alex - especially Nick who's caught between his best friend whom he's been in love with for years and his soul mate, who he just really met. That is what I hope will give teeth to the story. But we'll see how it comes out in the end. Thanks Mike, glad it hit the spot for you. Andy
