Poor Reinard is totally out of his element and the world of the giants is not an inviting comfort to grow used to. Young Galen is too young and naive to understand that this world to Reinard is much different than his own adventures into the city to star at a porneo. Ironically, the lack of life experience and skills has them growing into a more symbiotic relationship; both needed companionship and both constrained by their resources. Now they just have to learn what makes the other tick.

Wow, I’m starting to understand how mom would force the change during pregnancy; she has a hard time accepting anything other than what she wants and the way she wants it. Even more perplexing is the lack of perspective by dad. He seems to be totally absorbed into mom’s delusion of parenting. Hmmm, milk and lavender, salty yet sweet, certainly worthy of licking every dewdrop treat nature should produce. It seems that Jason and Devyn have stumbled into the confusion of attraction, arousal, and FEELINGS! Oh my, I am a boy thinks young Devyn, and don’t put your hands on my brother. 😝 Mom may have taken away his bone, but Jason has given him another. Now, Devyn has to decide whether he licks it, buries it, or just chews on it for a while. You’ve got some interesting developments coming together here, curious for who may be learning new behaviors.

Interesting that Granger didn’t have to be compelled by Fergus and therefore survived the dueling Dire Wolf howls. But the taint of Fergus ran too strong and the heart too corrupted for Granger to be rational. Maddie is obviously much more than the perfume she sloshes about, and the TALK they will all be having is bound to be most illuminating. How long has Maddie lived that hidden life, what and how did this come to be, and are there others? What others may also remain from the pack Fergus oppressed? Will Jimmy and Sawyer rise to the challenge of the first turn young twin wolves? Best that they remained unturned and untainted by the foul Alpha they knew as father. Now perhaps the young pups will learn civility and grow in a healthy pack environment; when not terrorizing crazy Aunt Jada! 😝 What a great chapter of few answers and mounting questions. The suspense remains chiefly of Sawyer and Jada’s turning. What sage advise will reveal itself, and from what source will it originate, to bring this new pack Jimmy so desperately needs together safely?

Oh my, how ever did I miss the epilogue until now... The shy carrot-top is no longer running, and even shows extreme patience when others would have eyes rolling back into their heads. The red herring didn’t even throw him into hiding. While running is no longer first option, it’s highly unlikely Ryan would allow him to get away; after Bran completes the tackle of course! 😝 Boy, when the Hastings wall fell it came down completely, Adrian seems to have been adopted with full Hastings honors and recognition. There’s nothing like having the support of the spouse, knowing you’re making his life easier and complete; and that motivates lots of entertainment! 😙 Poor Jared, learning he has to support his newly destitute family in his little apartment....hahaha. Shane, that’s cruel, but if any doubts existed, from either side, then that response was a testament to the bedrock of their relationship; stronger than the horse’s back, and steadier too! But then again, as any new cowboy learns, practice can be fun and rewarding, once the bum adjust to the ride! 😝 The ties of these friends, and now companions and families too, definitely speaks to the friends and family neighborhood buy-in. What an exciting and supportive neighborhood that would be, as the boys have never denied each other’s personal time and pursuits, but have always been the comrades of cheer and support when they don’t see or understand the real issues or themselves. What a heartwarming story of friendship and growth, and the friendships that endure that growth. Wow, @Laura S. Fox, I’m so glad I gave this story the chance it deserved; it would have been a terrible lost of many surprises, smiles, and the satisfaction of having been a part of this adventure. On target indeed, the light and dark have surely made their presence know. Malicious Mallex is not one for toying though, as the vicious attack on young Talon those years ago; Lex will be looking for advantage to sew his anger and deny to any what he cannot have for himself. The Queen especially seemed caught in complete surprise, though it was obvious she was doing some baiting on her own. Then too was Kalian surprised by Lex having knowledge of his maiming Talon in practice that very day. Deceit seems to be in constant play. Malicious Mallex and Angry Anika seem to be more cut out for each other, as neither show compassion for others but seek partnerships in political maneuvering. What seems today like a victory for Kalian’s small band of supporters, may be closer thought of as an announcement for those yet to chose sides, that this will not be settled in compromise. Whether by choice of tradition, or by political blackmail, Kalian’s parents have screwed up royally and seem too oblivious to even realize just how severely; now to the extent of losing Kalian, and the prestigious recognition his gift will most likely bring. Another great installment to your wonderful tale @Demiurge!

Lol, I hear ya. But seeing how one can give Vinsy a lunch order for a NY dog and shortly afterwards he delivers a fresh dog from the NY street vendor, I was referring to the less literal neighborhood as the first name alliances that are making this an enlarged Pack with an informal council of Alphas. Whether outside the formal boundaries of that alliance area, I believe this arrogance will spill over into pack recruitment and territory, that will most definitely affect pack members or will threaten free passage of the Alphas; so this guy is already close to biting the suicide pill himself.

He’s picking the wrong town or neighborhood, and the wrong time to challenge; I guess the memo for an informal convention of Alphas coming to town missed his newly established address. Hmmm 🤔, an Electric Panda, a Fiery Wolf, a Frosty Alpha Mate, and a Shadow Monk. Then for the feature show we have a triple affinity human turned Alpha Mate Wolf, and his Alpha Wolf Mate, and Alpha Father; what a party this arrogant Human Hater has decided to crash. Vinsy is supposed to be getting practice...do we have yet another volunteer?

Wow, with so many ways Hunter could use his skills for good; track criminals, murders, rapist, etc. Yet he claims he doesn’t want Casper hurt; BS! If the scary family he’s working for decided they then wanted Casper, then he’d be back to deliver him too. He is a POS that works for the family, does their bidding, so he IS part of the scary family. He believes himself to be better or removed; NOT, he is a POS without morals or heart. He and the family need to be brought down. Concerns remain from the logs of the therapist. What was the hint of connection for “David” being connected to her “xxxx.” Perhaps sinister, but is the therapist feeding information of kids manifesting skills? Who is father, is it literally a man or possibly a ruse of a figurehead pen name? Casey’s FATHER is suspect of being a bad dad and a bad cop; again, we have limited information but Casey appears to be very reasonable and rationale. Could we be looking at Casey being able to improve his home life and incidentally bringing down FATHER? 🤔

I agree there is much to work with for continuing the story, or the many spin-offs that might be inspired also. The many trials of recovery and establishing a stable government could generate many intricate tales within the New Dawn series. The key questions left hanging from before were basically answered, but without going into details that might constrain the storyline of future installments; nicely vague. So the path for recovery of Alex, the members of Fort Walker, the society, the government, are all ready for the telling. Noticeably absent is whether any aliens 👽 survived and how the many co-conspirators where identified, and neutralize from putting the world at risk again. Did the aliens try to make contact, were the technologies developed by tech billionaire Tobi aided by aliens, for defense and any spinoff applications? I can see many, many possibilities for the continued adventure series of the New Dawn world. Thanks again to @Westarcherfor sharing this wonderful creation.

I love it..., but pa I want to be big, and strong, and protect papa. I have to train with the Shadow Guard Furiz to get respect and protect papa..., pa, I don’t want to stay by myself...can I stay with you tonight? OMG 😆 so precious, yet within the context of the day’s events, almost 12yo Rashan is a trooper. His concerns of being the future Royal Commander of the Armies is well placed, but the burden or power of the combined houses of the commander and that of the Kamran trade network will make Rashan either a very skilled and connected Prince, or an untrained and vulnerable target. another great and touching chapter @lilansui

A great chapter, full of suspense, excitement, and the high drama with imperial deceit. The growth of Rashan and Jihan’s bond is so warming, and these tragic events seem to have cemented that fact, well and good. The imperial brothers may now, finally, be united by these ill advised attacks against the Kingdom; a fine point made by Kiyan in Court, and a final warning to the guilty parties, attack the royals is an attack on the kingdom! The attack enroute to Silver Shore divided Rashan from his Papa, and then his Dad when off to the rescue. Then this mercenary attack in their absence proved flawed again when mounted against the superior resources and alliances of Silver Shore and Kamran Estates; ironically, the young eagles proved critical to the rescue of the young Prince. 🦅 👏 The bonding and honesty of the two houses goes beyond Kastan and Jihan. The lines are blurred more as we see the Emperor doesn’t realize the bond and council Jihan already has with the Imperial Father, and with young Rashan. That Rashan was taught dagger sills by a Shadow Guard of Jihan, and of Kamran Estates; then the ironic twist that Rashan should his guard that I turn lived to save Rashan. But the hilarious and public tongue lashing from the enraged, pregnant, sister-in-law for her having to save his own young prince son, and his very own Prince Consort; yup, silence was wisdom there! 😛 @lilansui, bravo 👏, fantastic adventure and its seem we’re just getting warmed up!

I was so excited to see this chapter posted, now we can move on from the huge cliffhanger...to another? Yes it’s a epilogue, but it seems to be a cliffhanger of sorts as we don’t know the extent of Alex’s injuries; recovering or permanent? How did they survive and who did the rescue? It appears the rank used still reserves Commander to be Alex, but that too is vague. Finn was lost, like so many others, but the blanks here again seem to invite sequel or a second epilogue from Alex’s POV, to give some closure to the rescue, injuries, and the emerging government of The New Dawn. Even temporary Prime Minister implies either pending elections or that the Prime Minister is unable to assume that office yet; Alex, still commander but recovering and already elected Prime Minister? If no sequel, then I’m so sad to say goodbye to the storyline and these young characters you’ve brought to life @Westarcher. My hope is that Project New Dawn is only book 1 and that book 2, The New Dawn, will be soon to follow. Thanks for sharing your passion and your wonderful tale with us; it’s been a great journey, but I hope it’s not over yet!

As the wobbly child moves from one leg to another among the gathering, a small forest of towering men, looking up scanning from one to another then yet another, with query in her voice....daddy?

Yay 😃, the boys all seem to be in the home stretch to becoming partners in marriage, while continuing and growing as brother companions and extended families. Irony and comedy; Jared learns riding the cowboy is not enough, but he will have to bond and ride the beast, otherwise known as a gentle mare. But the city boy is already welcomed by family and is rapidly adopting the country scene and family life. Adrian is no longer a playboy, nor a simple small business owner. In learning how to deal with Edwards’s family Adrian has learned proper behavioral control and management of an ass; with the blessings of the current trainer known as mother-in-law to be. Now he learns the partner-to-be has more demands..., that Adrian be prepare to manage the dreadful estate assets and to allow them to dance to hokey-pokey with the Hastings name; enough to show distance but to protect lineage..., on their own terms. Ahhh, the poor, shy, excitable, carrot-top; 🤦‍♂️. He honestly didn’t know, he didn’t and doesn’t honestly care about the riches; I will sign any prenup, but...well, I will get to share the dog, right? Hahaha 🤪 wonderfully innocent, charming, and endearing. How could Ryan not love Micah. The interesting journey @Laura S. Foxhas given us; it has the excitement, the frustration, the aggravation, the pitfalls, and then the rewards of opening oneself to relationships beyond dear friends. Life gives us challenges and then we grow; hopefully falling into the arms of a loving and rewarding partnership for life. Thank you for this wonderful tale; I’m excitedly awaiting a look into the future of our companions as we glimpse at future possibilities.

Positivity is key! I’ve witnessed miracles firsthand, as a kid my father was not expected to live more than days, then weeks, then he started to recover. My father beat all odds, from all doctors, dealing with a rare spinal meningitis, that had no treatment at that time. I was a child of 12, my father passed 42 years later; as he made a miraculous recovery that took nearly a year, but one of few to recover before treatments were discovered. Be positive and never give up, as the gift of foresight is beyond us humans. Doctors can’t explain or account for many of the marvels that may still manifest; hopefully in a long and rewarding life going forward, but at least to have a surprisingly good and beyond all expectations quality of life with family, friends, and all that cherish your presence. It’s a good thing the Electric Panda has complete control because the release of emotional waves, breaching the dam of shame, could have been an emotional tsunami for anyone nearby. The Panda has made his choice, so too, has the Beta Wolf; as the bonding energies collect around these two, it appears destiny has found its time, mates and Mates have been chosen. Imagine peering within the shadows to see a small man carrying a big wild eyed man, only while slowed to allow the latter a brief moment of awareness, then to see the big guy cringe and hold tight as they rapidly disappear within the darkness; what a photo that image would be if ever captured! Never underestimate your father-in-bond, especially when the big guy is the former Pack Alpha, as the sage-ness of the elders forever makes a teacher; with big sharp teeth! With all the sparring, teaching, and practicing the arts of combat in multiple affinities, poor Mace must be starting to wonder who really is the big bad wolf and what has fate dealt him. Mace may soon understand the sentiments of a former President that introduced himself during international travels as the husband of his famously popular wife. Popular, enduring, and surprising humble, Vinsy is getting much needed guidance in growth as the looming challenge is never far from the thoughts of all; even the concerns and regrets of the monk bring context to the real challenge ahead. It won’t be too long before we start seeing kids running around the farm too; not the two legged ones either, they come a little later!

Fergus is definitely one twisted Wolf and so undeserving of his natural born Alpha claims. With all his obsessions over rabids and ferals, Fergus should be more concerned with his own impurities. He finds himself strangely attracted to what Jimmy has, as if dominating Sawyer will grant him Jimmy. How could Jimmy possibly resist him? OMFG his is warped. Sawyer has found is inner strength, and dare say possibly his Wolf, as he fights severe injuries to go to Jimmy’s aid. Rejecting Fergus and now choosing Jimmy may go beyond that of a mate, but as his pack and therefore his Alpha. The hold Fergus has over his pack may wane quickly as his attention will soon go from dominance to survival as these wolves resist. Maddie is a smart cookie, but this is still bound to be a shock. Hopefully her under pressure calm will keep her shots true. great chapter

Oh my goodness! Asha laughs at the bewildered Alpha as he deals with the new Bond Mate Alpha; of a different breed or original pack. Just when the two Alphas are making some progress, Stella with her Rights-of-Passage come checking on her dear friend. As the Alpha had stated that he had no experience with a bonded Mate but now as his Beta attacks his Mate for approaching his friend , which appears to be the Beta’s Mate, and the daughter of a neighboring pack Alpha wolf....wow! The intensity of this first date...oh wait, we haven’t started dating yet, hmmm 🤔. The first meetings have have been packed with action, challenges, excitement, and obviously many surprises. So, obscuring the title theme in all this drama is the mysterious white mama wolf and pups of Sasha’s breed and wolf claimed Pack; the suspense is large, the conflict looms, and we are rushed to say hellos to our new mates; yup, an exciting few days! @Avangelion, thanks for sharing this story and your passion with us, please keep that muse happy 😃!

With the advent of DNA testing, I believe the perception of lineage is being redefined to show the very nature of the human animal. The old precepts fail with the evidence of paternity differences within the same houses, and then those in evidence of broken maternity lines also; as channelings were not uncommon to mask human infertility among political, economic, and royalty lines of inheritance. While your story addresses love vs political pressures, the wielding of power has never been without greed. Absolute Power, Corrupts Absolutely! Your storyline is a more thought provoking and more human approach to an ageless challenge of reigning power and lineages. Thanks for developing this historical fiction.

OMG, @centexhairysubsaid it well...pins pulled, grenades tossed, the hallways erupted in explosive fire....AND NOW A WORD FROM OUR SPONSORS! What? Alex, has been judged by parents, the junior program, by his peers, the military, and the aliens. All have either been impressed or have underestimated him. But now, judged by a child with the gift of life, but with that fact unknown. Little Wesley found Alex worthy from the perspective of an abusive and untrusting environment; he was so right to do so. As Alex lays shielding little Wesley, we can only hope the intruding Mr Cliffhanger will allow Alex and Wesley the protections necessary to survive this difficult decision to protect the mission and the survival of humanity. Wow, @Westarcheris receiving my full love/hate emotions on this one! lol So I guess that means you’ve succeeded in bringing the characters and storyline to life in a way we feel vested and attached; please don’t leave them laying injured in that alien hallway for long. With a simple posting you can safe the lives of a couple of precious young warriors for humanity! Do it! 🙏

Mace and Vinnie continue to grow united despite the reservations of the mate’s bonding at this time; but that calm, controlled, and rational coexistence of mage and wolf shows us how much Vinnie has growth with his wolf; second nature becomes synchronized first nature. That building familiarity is now extending to the Alpha Mate as allies learn of Vinsy’s history and quest. Not a good time or person for Delta Wagner to challenge with falsehoods; the history of authoritarian bullying about to make that predatory bully an example for the grand introduction of a shocking new member of the NY Pack. The birth of the Electric Panda during the traumatic turning day of a young Panda, now has the Panda experiencing a rebirth with a kindred spirit and a chosen bond mate wolf. Mercy and compassion will be secondary to the more important message that must be understood as a prime directive for the Pack under Alpha Voder. A lot of subtle messages hidden within these growing bonds and allies, as @astone2292slowly marches us to where the other shoe drops for Stefan, but first, NY awaits!

Maybe this chapter was destined “To be or not to be, the In-Law Edition.” The cowboy’s family already has them booked for a round-up of little dogies, The Hastings are requesting a (mandatory attendance) meeting for charting the Proper Hastings Proceedings, and The poor little Carrot Top is in flight again with his heart racing, as the Armstrong In-Laws To Be indiscreetly discuss what they don’t admittedly understand but want to control. Can a prenup protect you for the in-laws before and while still married?? 😝 Maybe that Vegas trip to the Elvis Chapel, @spyke, would be preferable for all the boys to be saying those famous Elvis words, Thank you, Thank you very much!

Oh, it will. 😃 But Jack needed to show Luke how much he means to him and that he is not just using him. I suspect when the roles are reversed, the meaning will be even more significant and may sway more often in that direction, but for now I think this speaks more to the building relationship. We already had Dominique and Leghorns chickens established, with one single rooster, but then someone decided chickens were not their game and gave us six Banty (Bantam) peeps. Out of those six Banties, two grew to be roosters. As they begin to spur, or grew their spurs, they started becoming more aggressive. I was taking mom out back to the scrap pile to find her a piece of wood for something she wanted; as we rounded to shed to head to the scrap pile the banty roosters started trying to spur mom. As the little guy jumped up with his legs thrown forward to spur her, mom reacted quickly with her right hand coming around with a backhand grap around his neck. She followed through to twist her hand back up to snap his neck in a flip and drop to the ground. She made eyes for the other one as she told me to go start the big pot of water to boil. I then realized we were having chicken and dumplings as those roosters had pissed mom off. As I turned to go, a saw mom chasing down the other rooster. 😝
