Salute, may the happy hunting grounds be fulfilling, with plentiful interesting and curious things and the warm caresses that say Lee is thinking of you.

I like Miles, I like Troy, but that doesn’t mean I can’t believe most of this young and emotionally stressfullifetime, relative to their adult lives, is something that Miles could have ended long ago…or could have started to rebuild long ago. Simple communication without obligations, but with sincerity of the time and mental state, would have made the long road home less perilous. Instead, we have years and years of silence due to assumptions that it was better for someone…that you’ve not talked to; refusing to communicate or allow others to speak freely either. Again, Miles never truly tried to find out what was best, he just assumed and insisted no one talk of him or about Troy except the shallow thoughts that they’re both ok. 😢 This is the combination of a near decade long fiasco, propagated by Miles; a very selfish, foolish, and hurtful situation that Miles has thrust upon the ones he cares for. So can I like them, yes. Do I have to approve or even forgive Miles for such destructive behavior, no. Can I ever say that I would trust Miles to not chop up my heart and leave it to the wolves? Owen has been a dedicated friend and then lover, but he came into this as a sacrificial and self imposed rebound boyfriend, lover. This risk was always there and now the chickens have come to roost. His insecurities are there as he knew all along that he was a second fiddle, but now that he sees his crush is his nemesis it hurts him even more. Where and how will his triad of love failure lead? Most probable is to heart aches for multiple people and possibly no relationship surviving as all hearts have split ties and yet trust may not allow repairing bonds to either split in that terrible situation; quite the pickle for a sour predicament.

Meanwhile…Marco Polo reviews his hotel lodging.

The good news is that more of the rumors have most likely been vetted and therefore Levi should only be viewed a victim of Casey’s schemes and only guilty of lessor crimes…that given the testimony would most likely and logically be probation or dismisses all together; at least that’s my opinion and hope.

Anything from the ominous battle in that home stretch before going home or the return to orders that then set the boys on different paths around the world. It is a very big cliffhanger as to what that memorial event or time reference will reveal. Hopefully it’s just the assignment paths that tearfully separate them, and not the more dreadful things that a war zone can conjure without warning.

OMG! A Charlie Brown Christmas Tree is classic for this battle hardened and vintage manifestation of a Christmas 🎄. Having personally served a long service career with immediate family Christmas celebrations anywhere from November to January, then the military deployed family day of celebrations between my personal work rotations and those of others; therefore the Multi-shift nature of the day, the spirit, and the faces may make for multiple trips to the chow hall tent, or the recreation/day room tent or such to celebrate with the different portions of your military family as the military jobs must go on. It sounds so discombobulated 😕…but yet you make it work and smile with appreciation that so did others.

True the boys were sharing a relationship for a total time of greater than one year, but beyond the restrictions agreed to with Erik, the boys were only fully and freely familiar for the one adult year; so my mind focused on the adult maturity relationship between them. Understandably the formative years plays into the memories but the real relationship, where the boys choose their own paths and formed their relationship with free will was my focus.

Nothing like a test drive..or 2, 3, 4, etc. Drive it like you own it, or lease it…as damages do have costs that can’t be ignored.

Wow, that opens the door to so many things. Will he remain respectful and treat this as a shared and balanced relationship, or his he going for domination over a submissive? I hope it can be a balanced relationship where the give and take is mutually agreeing where they want it to go…not just a horny depraved young man being turned into a slave.

Oh, I still want to see if Miles can man up. Admitting to himself, his regrets and/or mistakes, is a far cry from admitting it to the very person/people he hurt; so his admission is still hollow as it’s just HIS regrets until he shares and starts the trial of apologizing to all he has given up on…when they didn’t give up on him…until admitting Miles didn’t want to be found. So while the young couple was a refreshing and supportive relationship, grounding each other…until they weren’t, which was ok…until years of cruelly hiding away and being absent from the people that supported him…until he rejected them.

But, due to Miles’ disappearance and long silence, this situation will be destructive to someone, and will probably haunt others; all could have been avoided years ago; 8+ years makes a full practicing doctor, but undoubtedly can’t make meaningful phone calls and apologies or honest talk of regrets.

Seeing it on video is different than real life, it’s edited and already packaged for presentation. But even then, could Troy find the same appreciation for Miles’ lifestyle when he has been accustomed to working from a home studio? The view into Miles’ life via YouTube is a narrow view, as if looking through a soda straw, and doesn’t really present living, loving, and enjoying life together. This is more like a 10-year high school reunion. The presentation of the night, successes, personalities, and their life satisfaction…is but what they want you to know or believe, yet the reality may be depression, broken marriages, and problem kids. A lot is assumed when judging personal life from edited YouTube clips. Yes, admittedly Miles says he regrets what happened…but would he REALLY do anything differently…he hasn’t for nearly a decade. A few simple talks in more detail to Erik, and to god forbid Troy, or even Carson could have helped avoid all this mess of pounding hearts over high school lovers that may not be who you remember anymore; basic personality and character being the same doesn’t equate to home life, shared hobbies or interests they can build a shared life around. Mikes misses the freedom of the sea and says the horse back riding is the same freedom, yet Troy may detest the ranch and riding at this stage, having grown into a life beyond ranching. We don’t know…but neither do they; much would and could have changed without them knowing…just as the life with Owen. Troy gave in as needing some grounding and was admittedly lonely and isolated…while Miles was making many port calls just another hookup without his heart telling him to man up and at least talk to his adopted family, especially Troy.

I would understand that argument better if it was a shorter timespan. These boys were only together for a short time relative to their time and growth since then. From young teens and lovers that should have grown together to have a chance, but instead they have now grown apart, separately, for many years. The chances that they will reunite as if still the same teen lovers is very unrealistic for me. They’re flashing back to their teen crush and lover YEAR, not the years and questions about their old loves now. These are totally different people, and they may not even like each other now. Miles is an adventurer yet Troy has been more wrapped up in his work from home and somewhat private life. Owen has been a persistent friend and then lover to Troy; even a betrayal of their relationship by Troy now would not likely dissuade Owen from his chosen love. With Troy and Miles needing to reacquaint themselves to each other after years of separation and changing personalities, likes and dislikes, and just maturity changes. This along with Owen being persistent, I don’t see a short path to star crossed lovers being a short story. This all assumes that after years of being kept in the dark, that Troy will just magically understand and forgive Miles…if he even likes the the now older and changed Miles.

Wrong part of the island, and that’s important…ask Hitler…opps you can’t, he was like Miles and chose not to talk in the end.

Well…confessions and reactions will take 4 chapters for each POV. Miles cares enough to talk to Erik…but only without talking to him; even then Erik had to throw out the engagement announcement but Miles didn’t query nor response to that either. Now we have the disaster in waiting…mostly of Miles’ making, and mostly his own surprise revealed. I guess it’s better than him hooking up with Owen prior to this meet…assuming that Owen wasn’t faking his surprise at meeting Miles for the first time in person. So here we have the train wreck that has been a runaway train for nearly a decade. I don’t think the voice-overs for these two winners are likely to be animated quite the same…then again perhaps there will be suspense hanging on their every word. 🤦♂️ What a self made mess, cascading like a snowball building as it crashes down the mountain side… with the ensuing avalanche close on its tail.

Light duty…which is very limited in most cases but could be termed …military physical therapy. 😝

While Kurtis does have impeccable manners, but also recognizes when better discretion is needed. Even beyond that is his memory. It seems his memory is well above normal, perhaps rather exceptional. It may not be key to the storyline but no doubt I think it will shine as a talent amongst this pentagon crowd, and more importantly, the case against dipshit Bernie. While mom is not necessarily the instigator, she has been more than submissive to Bernie’s wills, making her an accessory to his crimes in my mind. Many of her failures to protect Kurtis will probably be put into a new light when reviewed with more objective minds.

Two ole sayings I remember from the military; 1) you can sleep when you’re dead, 2) you can sleep on your personal time, but you’re working for Uncle Sam 24/7/365…now move it!

Hopefully Levi’s not being too vague to keep Jamie safe. Levi himself was only told a general warning, leaving Casey leeway to bait Levi into his web. Now Levi’s warning to Jamie is the very same generalized warning that could leave Jamie open to the same mistake; especially when dealing with Casey.

Unfortunately the effort Casey puts forth may be even more outright and forceful…if involving Jamie then hopefully it’s an early alert and cry for help that has all the right people to have Casey on a slippery slope as even more come forward when they see Casey as a public danger. Of course, I hope this does not traumatize or put a possible fostering of Jamie at risk; as I do think Jamie will become a resident of Avalon and possibly permanently soon after.

The problem with being in a constant state of Fugue is you’d no longer appreciate the initial hit and subsequent climb into Mary Jane Land.
