Ah, thank you for answering my questions. Cathy must be thrilled now that Luke is "back", and I hope he's back for good. I'm really enjoying the story. I just have one complaint: The chapter was too short! lol
-
I could feel Luke's pain. Poor kid. I can totally see shutting down after your mother dies. I hope now can turn to a new chapter in his life. His mom wouldn't want him grieving forever; she'd want him to live his life and be happy. I'm wondering about family; where's Luke's dad? Does he have any siblings? Is his Aunt Cathy married? Kids? Anyway, great story so far! I look forward to the next chapter! =)

Ch 32: Friend and Relation
Lisa commented on Hamen Cheese's story chapter in Ch 32: Friend and Relation
What a smart move for Derek to look for his uncle. I think that's perfect. I'm assuming his uncle won't turn him away. Although I am disappointed he and Andrew didn't talk at all. Why didn't Andrew ask him what was going on? Andrew is such a great sounding board; I was really interested to hear what he would have said. Ok, so Mrs. H. is at Charlie's....and her husband is in their house. Shit, I was hoping she poisoned him. lol Hmmmm, maybe she left all the expired cans out hoping he wouldn't notice they were expired and he would eat them? Then it wouldn't be murder. Hmpf, wishful thinking.... Another awesome chapter which brings about more questions of course! Looking forward to more! Hey, and it didn't take me a week to read this update! lol -
Since sex releases endorphins and therefore helps people feel better, why do people (ok, probably only women) complain of headaches when their significant other wants sex? lol I'm sure they don't even know it helps headaches too! So now I guess Percy has a decision to make. I don't know if Max is out or anything, but if he is I know he won't want to go back in the closet and be Percy's little secret. Looking forward to the "morning after". Awesome chapter KC!

What a powerful chapter. From the interrogation scene (hysterical btw w/Rebecca and her trusy ax! Is that like Linus and his blanket?) and Mikee exclaiming how he loves murder mysteries and he was so happy to be there to Mrs. C showing up to prove Derek's innocence. Then the "Father". And I use that term loosely, b/c he's no father in my book. I can't believe he lost so much control he punched Derek in front of Mrs. H! Biggest surprise: Mrs. H. knew all along what her husband did to their son. And she didn't say a word. Yeah, love does crazy things, but come on, your own child! You basically chose your husband over the health and safety of your own child. So, all those expired cans. I was thinking when she sent Derek off to Charlie's, that she was going to poison her husband. Using all those expired cans. Hmmmm, just a thought. How else is she gonna get rid of him? lol And now Derek; poor Derek, all set to go over Charlie's but then he realized how happy Charlie was w/Travis. He would feel like the third wheel. Mrs. H. will be surprised when she gets over there that Derek isn't there. Where is he gonna go? Awesome, emotional and raw chapter Hamen! Anxiously awaiting the next one! Hope you had a terrific New Year!

I am utterly appalled by the sheer uncaring, nasty attitudes of these teachers. I mean, come on, you see your student who comes into class with his face rearranged like Derrick's (and why the hell didn't he put any ice on it?), AND YOU DON'T SAY ANYTHING????? You don't send him right down to the nurse's office? What kind of school are they running there???? And THE PRINCIPAL!!!! Wasn't he the one who told Derrick he was proud of him for BEING THE TOP KID IN THE SCHOOL?????? And Derrick walks in and he doesn't even bat an eye at his FACE?????? And good for Mom! She should go to the police and the media. Their zero tolerance for bullying is bullshit. The teachers all saw Derrick when he came back and no one even said one word to him about it. I did notice an error though. Probably due to the long time in between updating. lol You mentioned Joel was checking his email and fb status on Derrick's computer. Well, we know from a few chapters previous, Derrick doesn't have a computer. They can't afford one. Just wanted to point that out in case you wanted to go back and delete it. Anyway, I'm hoping that we won't have to wait another year to see chapter 21. And in the meantime, I'll be waiting for Jesse101......

That speech was incredible. I had to keep re-reading it b/c the screen was so blurry from all my tears. What an amazing speech for a fourteen year old. I think Derrick finally got to Chris. I do feel so bad for Chris. I know he's just acting out. He just wants Derrick to hurt as much as he's hurting. But seriously, he was about to rape him. Would the aftermath be worth it? Of course he's not thinking past the part where he gets Derrick just the way he wants him. Chris needs to move on. His obession isn't healthy. Ok, on to chapter sixteen.

I re-read all eleven chapters today! lol I'm so glad Quinn is making new friends. He certainly doesn't need the likes of Zach or the twins to push him deeper in that closet. I think his father is a piece of work. He's so damn judgemental; judging Meghan just by her hair color. I love his mom; she's the best. I really hope that his father can lighten up and accept Quinn for who he is otherwise I have a bad feeling that Claire is just gonna kick him out. If she didn't do that already. And then Quinn is going to feel all sorts of guilty thinking it's all his fault. He doesn't need that added stress. I'm hoping his happy pills kick in soon! There is a silver lining though: Cameron told him he could always hang out at his house. That's a big step for Cam! I hope we don't have to wait a month for the next chapter! Hint, hint.... Have a wonderful, happy and healthy New Year Damond!
-
Jace thinks so odd for a teenage boy. Idk; he thinks very philosophical. At any rate, I'm glad he finally made things right w/Merry. Poor Merry probably spent the whole night with anxiety. lol And that whole thing w/Mrs. Andersen and the principal over what she's teaching in creative writing was just bullshit. I mean really, the school board can't be that close-minded and homophobic? When there are thousands of schools across the country that have gsa's and promote zero tolerance for bullying, the school Jace goes to can't be that different in their thinking, can they? In today's day and age? Anyway, loved the chapter; as usual! Can't wait for the next one!
-
Ok, this once or twice a month updating has got to stop! lol I need more! I ditto Conner; it would be wild to have Lucca, Sam, Jeremy and Matt all in the same room. Then Matt could explain to Jeremy why he called out Lucca's name while they were "doing it". lol So does Jeremy know Lucca's gay b/c of Matt, or does he just think Matt's hung up on a straight boy? I'm anxiously awaiting your next chapter! Don't keep me waiting long intune! lol j/k Have a happy new year!
-
Definitely squealing KC! I'm so happy they're one in the same. I gotta tell you; I was disappointed when Max/Parker's partner said the name Parker; I was hoping he'd say the name Max! But then where would the fun be in that? Almost a little too easy. It was great how you had Mr. Too-Close's name Max Parker! I'm so excited for these two; can't wait for the next chapter! Oh, and I was wondering how Max knew or remembered Percy's name, his full name? Maybe he remembers all the people he saves and brings to the hospital, but it doesn't seem likely. Just a coincidence? Have a great New Year KC!

What a wonderful chapter Night! And welcome back! Finally....ok, so I know you posted this last week, but I had to find uninterrupted time to read so I wouldn't be constantly bothered by everyone around me. Awesome chapter; well worth the wait! It seems like Billy's mom is looking over divorce papers. All those meetings in town, would they be w/her lawyer? Looking forward to finding out what Seth had to say in his letter. I think Seth would be fine if he found out his brother was gay. Based on how Billy describes him; he sounds great. Anxiously awaiting the next chapter. Hopefully it won't be as long of a wait as this one... Have a wonderful Christmakkuhkwanza(whatever you celebrate) and have a happy and healthy 2012 Night!
-
I was laughing and crying at the beginning of this chapter. Thank God Derek was there to save Charlie, but omg was that comical with Rebecca and her ax! lol So Derek was in his fugue state for eight hours. He could have done anything to Luke in that time; he was full of adrenaline, wanting to get back at Luke for hurting Charlie the way he did; anything could have happened. But yeah, Rebecca was right; they should have checked Derek's car for blood. Unless of course he also cleaned his car during his blackout stage. Shit, this isn't looking good for Hero at all. Anxiously awaiting chapter thirty-one. Have a very Merry Christmakkahkwanza (whatever you celebrate) Hamen and a happy and healthy 2012!

Ch 29: The Forgotten Door (Part Two)
Lisa commented on Hamen Cheese's story chapter in Ch 29: The Forgotten Door (Part Two)
I finally was able to catch up on these chapters. I don't like chapter thirty's title though; I'm a little afraid to read it. lol This last chapter was devastating. Medically speaking, wouldn't Derek still be bleeding? Maybe internally? Didn't father dearest shove that pipe up his butt? I don't feel like going back and re-living that, but it seems his father did so much damage; there was so much blood on the sheets, on Derek's clothes, etc. I just can't see him walking around so quickly. Part of me, actually all of me, wished he and Charlie stayed in his room and his mom came home to find them like that and then they would explain what happened. Another part of me wished Charlie called 911 and his mom had to go to the hospital to find out what happened. So, Derek never realized that when he found out about Charlie (in present-day), he spewed the same homophobic shit word for word that his father ranted and raved at him when he was eleven? And come on! At eleven years old, how many kids really know what they are? So what really happened to his father? Why is he so hateful? What happened in HIS past that would make him think such stupid things about gay people? They're not important? There are no famous ones? Hahah, yeah right. What's wrong with his father that he thinks this crap? Was he raped and/or molested when he was younger, OR did he feel these same feelings towards a friend of HIS when he was young? Did someone find out and beat the shit out of him too? And what's with him always running away? Oh yeah, an important project; is that a code word for another family? Wasn't he screwing around on Mrs. H.? When Derek's brain, as a defense mechanism I'm guessing, locked up all his feelings and emotions towards Charlie that were anything other than regular "normal" friendship, did this start his "I'm perfect" campaign. He had to be "perfect" in everything he did, b/c "perfect" people were not gay. His whole facade is fake. He perfected "perfect" for so long he probably has no idea who he really is. And to protect Charlie the way he did with his father was really mature for an eleven year old. He just wanted to keep Charlie safe from his father. He was looking out for Charlie more than himself. Now if that's not love...... Ok, I'm on to the next chapter. I just hope Charlie is still not lying in that junkyard bleeding to death..... -
I hate the feeling of Percy "cheating" on Max, so I'm hoping Mr.Too-Close and Max are one and the same! I'm really surprised Percy went online with Max with Rocket right there. So she knows they talk online, but did Percy tell her they never met? I would think if she knew that she would push Percy to meet Max. Ok, anxiously waiting for the next chapter KC! Have a wonderful Chrismakkahkwanza, whatever you celebrate! =)

This chapter is just as powerful as the first one. I wonder if Connor senses something about Tom. I wonder if Connor is also escaping from something similar. Tom's father is an ass. He's apolgizing for beating him and bruising his stomach; how about apologizing for bruising his mind, how about apologizing for leaving his son mentally bruised and battered for six years. Tom (as well as his sick father) needs therapy. And lots of it. I hope you update soon! I noticed the first chapter was posted all the way back in July.....hoping the next one will be out in less than five months! =)
-
Wow. All I can say is Wow. Your writing is incredible. I'm in tears. The image you created of Tom standing in front of his mirror, staring at the boy in front of him, the boy who is crying out for someone to save him is amazing. The way you write how empty Tom feels on the inside, but on the outside he puts on this great facade where no one would ever know how emotionally damaged he is. Does his "father" (and I use that term loosely) even know what he's doing to his own son? How could he do something like this to a boy, never mind his own flesh and blood? He should be slowly tortured. I can't see how Tom's mom would know. From the interaction they've had so far, she seems pretty innocent. How could a mother let something like this go on? She must not know. Tom's father needs help. He is sick. I'm surprised Tom didn't take up cutting years ago. Cutting is the only part of his life that's in his total control, well except for his grades. I hope Ethan and Connor try to see through Tom's facade and help him. He is so broken, as a mom it breaks my heart. On another note: hey when are you gonna update "The Sound of Us"? I've been looking forward to reading that story! I also noticed you used to live in Jersey; I'm a Jersey girl too, lol. Miss it every day. Ok, on to chapter two!
-
So, what's up with Chance? What happened to him in the last seven years that turned him into an egomanical (is that even a word? lol) ass? Why is he being so nasty to Jay? Obviously something's been going on with him. You describe him as looking drawn and tired, so something's up. I'm wondering if this has to do with his attitude. Our high school (which happens to put on Broadway quality musicals - as many have said) did Grease a few years back. My son was lucky enough to get in the ensemble and they did such an awesome job. It's such a great choice for a high school play. Awesome story so far! Can't wait for the next chapter!
-
Even though I hate JT, I hope nothing happens to him b/c then Andy will be blamed. Loved the beginning; I KNEW Roger would take Andy and Joey's relationship well! Awesome chapter Billy! Looking forward to the next one!

This once a week posting has just got to go. lol Oh man, I feel for Percy. I had lower back surgery in May and it took me like twenty minutes just to friggen roll to one side and sit up. And once I lay back down, I couldn't move, so I had to position myself just right. But Percy'll learn. He'll have to. And thank God for Rocket; she's terrific! And then of course to throw that bomb in there! Is Max your boyfriend? lol Good job Rocket! But I wanna know, wtf is up with that driver? Who was the driver? Was he drunk? I was surprised the hospital didn't want to keep Percy in longer. The driver should have come to apologize. "Too-Close" should have come to check up on him. Did "Too-Close" remember him from the coffee shop? Now of course I'm dying to know if "Too-Close" and Max are one and the same. They both had to work that night....... Awesome job KC; anxiously awaiting more! =)

Ch 28: The Forgotten Door (Part One)
Lisa commented on Hamen Cheese's story chapter in Ch 28: The Forgotten Door (Part One)
I saw this posted while I was waiting to pick up my kid from school and I jumped up and down in my seat (as much as I could jump in the car) screaming Charlie! Charlie! Of course the other parents around thought I was nuts! Holy shit what a chapter! I so did NOT see that one coming with Hero's father. What a douchebag. He should be tortured and raped and have his limbs cut off one by one very slowly. Omigod, no wonder Derek blocked this whole thing out. His father fucked up his mind so bad that he took on his father's ideas about homosexuality. (when he was verbally abusing Charlie and Travis, err, Trevor, shit, I think it was Travis, sorry). I also agree with Nicky where Derek could have definitely developed DID. I believe most cases of DID are brought on by early sexual abuse. Even though we only saw this one instance, who knows what his father has done to Derek after this happened? I felt Charlie's pain in wanting to get Derek to the hospital on one hand, and listen to Derek on the other. Charlie may be in big trouble if Derek passes out (well, he did) and doesn't come to. How's Charlie gonna get him to a hospital then? And will Derek even report his father? Will he be too afraid and paranoid to do that? I don't remember how his father came to not live with he and his mom anymore; was this why? Did Derek ever tell his mom? I just want to hold Derek and Charlie and tell them everything will be all right. I agree with zland; people should NOT be parents if they cannot love their child unconditionally. Especially about something their child HAS NO CONTROL OVER! All these questions, sorry! I'm so happy the story is back!!!!! Anxiously waiting for the next chapter! =) -
…Some Things Are Out Of Your Control
Lisa commented on Jwolf's story chapter in …Some Things Are Out Of Your Control
Oh shit. I'm crying right along with Coop. What's gonna happen though if CJ really wants to stay with his dad? I know Cooper said the kids needed to stick together, which you know I most definitely approve of, but what if Liz's decision isn't CJ's? Will this start a huge fight between them? Even though Coop gets pissed at Spencer for sticking his nose where it doesn't belong, he is really lucky to have someone who loves him so much that he'd risk their friendship to prove how much he's looking out for him. Did that run-on-sentence make sense? I'm glad they straightened things out. Ok, when I was reading the part where Coop was lamenting about love and being with the one who could be chased but couldn't be caught, I thought, omigod, is this why Jon named Chase Chase? lol As a play on words? Coop will be forever in a chase with Chase, trying to catch him and pin him down! Actually, this isn't as more true (did that sound right?) as it is now. After what Morgan said to Cooper, I'd be downing my anti-anxiety pills and running to the pharmacy for a refill. Why did Chase leave his phone with Morgan? Wasn't that a stupid thing to do? He knows how Morgan is; why would he put it past Morgan to call Coop up even and taunt him. Or text him and really get him going. I really want to believe Chase and I applaud Coop for not caving in to Morgan and holding his own in the conversation. I woulda been freaking out. I want to believe Chase when he tells Coop he's done with Morgan. But then why does he drop everything and drive out there as soon as the little bitch calls? What hold does Morgan have on Chase? Cooper has to tell Chase what Morgan said. Chase has got to put Morgan in his place. Morgan should not have this control over Chase. Chase and Cooper will never be able to move forward in their relationship if Morgan is there on the sidelines, holding the strings that control Chase. Chase has got to put an end to his nonsense of running to Morgan whenever he gets a friggen hangnail. Awesome chapter as always Jon! I'm on pins and needles here about many things; mainly Chase/Coop and that beyotch Morgan, and of course CJ and Liz's decisions. -
OMG, YOU CAN'T KILL WILL!!!!!! Not after Darren finally realizes what Will means to him!!!!! shit, and I just ran out of Kleenex! Damn you. lol I LOVE this story!!! I just found it yesterday (what rock did I just crawl out of?) and I've been devouring every chapter. I'm so glad Darren finally came to his senses with Will. He would have never been happy with Tara. Maybe if he never knew how Will really felt about him, and Tara didn't push him trying to figure out his sexuality, he could be happy with her. But once she unleashed the idea of a physical relationship with Will, it was too late. Darren would always wonder "what if?", and that's a horrible thing to live with. I'm on pins and needles here, waiting and hoping Will is going to be all right. Please don't kill Will....:(

Adam, you don't know how thrilled I was to see an update. This has got to be one of my favorite stories on here. Now that I restocked my Kleenex from the previous chapters, I'm hoping I won't need them again. So now that I read Dirk's review/foreshadowing, I am hoping that he is WRONG!!!!! I will need to get stock in Kleenex if his predictions are accurate! Firstly, I think Matt will feel slighted that Andy didn't tell him he was planning on proposing to Angie. I think Matt will feel even worse b/c this thing with Julie may not work out. Secondly, I think Andy's full of shit and in total denial if he thinks that he can't picture himself living with and making a life with another guy. Specifically Matt. He has been in love with Matt for how many years now? He loves Matt so much it scares him. How could he even THINK he'd be happy living with just Angie? When Angie and Andy had that talk, I don't think he was being honest with himself, or her. I think it's his relationship with ANGIE that doesn't hold a candle to his relationship with Matt. He could never get from Angie what he gets from Matt. And don't get me wrong; I LOVE Angie; I think she's the most responsible, mature twenty year old I've ever read about. She was just as mature when she was seventeen. And insightful. Maybe she knows that her relationship with Andy isn't as strong as his relationship with Matt. Maybe she was just trying to get Andy to think about it and realize it on his own. I don't know. I also think she is extremely strong and brave. I could NEVER not feel anxiety over the fact that my boyfriend/fiance is in love with someone else. Male or female, doesn't matter. I don't like sharing, so I giver her tons of credit. As much as I love Angie, I do want Andy and Matt to be the ones getting married. lol I need to re-read the prologue again. But then again, it'll probably upset me too much, so never mind! haha Ok, waiting on pins and needles for the next chapter. Hopefully Laura will take a hike and Dirk's prediction won't come true.... Awesome job Adam!
-
Oh man, I was wondering what the heck was taking Roger so long! lol I really hope that Roger is truly as cool as he seems. I hope he takes after his father with his views. His father is very open-minded and I hope Roger is the same. I would hate for Andy to lose him as a best friend and Joey to lose him as a friend, especially since he'll be living there. I can't see Roger's father throwing Joey out just because his son is homophobic. Awesome chapter; I almost ran out of Kleenex, damn you....=)
