    Chapter 8

Robin!!!! You updated!!!!! After a year!!!!! lol Well, now if Ezra won't talk to Josh's mom, Josh can go to the police himself now that he knows the names of those two douchebags. I think Brody and Tom should be in the same cell as Ezra's sperm donor and that pedo "Deacon" Luke. So...the next chapter...maybe before next September?

    Brett's Mom

I absolutely LOVED this chapter, Jeff! Brett's mom is so cool -- even if she works all the time. She loves Brett, and she's so happy she had him -- that's what he needed to hear. I'm so happy that weight has been lifted off his shoulders. Now he can return to being the good Brett. lol It was a really shitty thing Brett's sperm donor did to his mom. She's lucky her parents helped her out and didn't take the news as bad as she thought they would.
  3. HAPPY BIRTHDAY M!!!! I hope you're having a great day!!

    Chapter 23

This was definitely an intense chapter for Corey. I think Pierre is absolutely right; Corey should tell his mom how he felt all those years ago. His two-timing (three-timing, four-timing, etc.) sperm donor had no reason to kick his son out of the house. HE'S the one cheating on his wife - Corey didn't do anything, he was just being who he is. His mother should have NEVER let her bastard of a husband kick her son out of the house! I'm sure I mentioned that once or twice in a past review. lol Corey should talk to his mom about how his sperm-donor's indiscretions affected the whole family, not just their marriage. This was a great chapter, Lit, and I'm sorry the fun with all the friends is over.

    Chapter 22

I started reading this chapter when you first posted it, but I never finished. I have no idea why! lol Jason is so right -- he would not have been good for Corey when they were in high school. Jason was immature, and he would have done the same thing to Corey as he did to Pierre. No, it's much better they're together now. Jason has matured and finally grown up, and they're both in the right place for a relationship. It's too bad that homophobic douchebag had to put a damper on their night.
  6. HAPPY SWEET SIXTEEN TOR!!!!! I hope you had a great b-day!
  7. Hmm, so it seems he was able to lie his way through knowing Seth's name. Why does that not surprise me? lol He's just getting deeper and deeper in shit with Codey. When Codey finally finds out Adam/Matt is really Adam and not Matt, AND he's his half-brother, Codey will be betrayed all over again. Adam needs to tell him the truth now before it's too late. He needs to stop being so selfish because he's going to break Codey's heart. Just my two cents! Now...will Adam/Matt really run away on his bike and never come back? Idk...
  8. HAPPY BIRTHDAY STEVE!!!!! I hope you're having an awesome b-day!
  9. Holy shit! What a blunder Adam/Matt made! lol Seth's gonna freak! Adam thinks so damn much it's amazing his head doesn't explode! lol He's very wise though. Cynical, but wise.
  10. First I thought Harrison was mildly autistic, but yes, Asperger's is what I was trying to think of. Without intending to sound non-PC, Harrison's a mess. With some OCD thrown in there. I agree with Tim; the person who tested Harrison should have seen through his ploy to say the right thing. So Harrison's little secret -- he should feel relieved that Justin's dad is gay, then, right? And Harrison's parents are really cool; I thought being a minister and a minister's wife, they'd be the typical homophobes -- you're all going to hell and all that Bible thumping shit they like to spew. I was pleasantly surprised. From reading your response to Tim's recent review, you haven't started posting this story, right? I definitely don't remember seeing it on here...of course if it were written as a Book 2 or something, I wouldn't have looked at it since I didn't read Book 1. lol Anyhoo, I do hope this story does come to fruition, because as usual, you got me hooked on Harrison, Cole!
  11. I cried throughout the chapter. lol But when I saw the first line in italics, 'Can I have this dance', the whole song just started in a loop in my head. First of all, I LOVE Anne Murray, and I love that song. I didn't clink on any of the links in the chapters (sorry!). I should though b/c even though I don't celebrate Xmas, I love Xmas songs! Especially Carol of the Bells and Do You Hear What I Hear. This was absolutely the perfect ending for this wonderful story. It's been a couple of years since you wrote this, will there be a sequel at some point? Maybe a story for Wes and Angus? Ok, on to the last chapter.
  12. I, too, was wondering if I missed something when I read about Tony. Tony who? lol Wes is so lucky he has such a wonderful, loving, and accepting family. After the snippet with Wes' family, the rest made me cry. Well, except for Kendra -- you go, girl! I cried for the child Madeline never knew, I cried for Chad's parents b/c they love him so much, and they know they made a big mistake. I have a feeling this Christmas there will be sad, but also happy tears in that house. I even cried reading Peterson's letter!!!! If you can believe that! So obviously, he's been in contact with Wes more than once. It was a brilliant idea to write the letter to Roy and spill his guts. I think this was my favorite chapter, Cole. It was so raw and so emotional. I know I'm gonna cry again at the end b/c I don't wanna say goodbye to everyone!

    The Snow Ball

Madeline's description of a circuit party really sounded like fun!! It probably would have been a lot of fun minus all those people! lol Too many people for sure! I'm so glad Angus was there for Wes...I know he's not the type who would just take off at the first sign of well, anything. Not like that db Peterson. The flashback with Roy and Blackie and Snowball made me cry. Roy was such an unhappy kid, with his father behind bars. So sad. Kendra is something else though. First she gets him a puppy and then she gets the puppy a cat! lol I'm glad she (and the pets) were able to put a smile on little Roy's face.

    Pansies

Wes doesn't deserve Horace!!! What a shitty thing to do to Wes. Nice, so he's happy back with Tyrell, fine, but he treated Wes like shit, always hot and cold and indifferent. Who needs that? I'm glad Angus confessed his true feelings to Wes. Angus would never treat Wes like Peterson did. For a while there, I thought Jamie was going to try for Wes! I think Jamie would be a blast to have as a friend, but not as a b/f! lol And a big OUCH to Chad!!! I really think Morgan was the one who threw Chad under the bus by telling his boss he was in the trailer with some guy. How humiliating for Chad.
  15. Peterson -- such a f'n coward!! Grrr, I'm soooo angry with him right now!!! Wes is the best thing that's ever happened to him!!!! Yes, I can see that he's jealous of Chad, but c'mon! He has WES!!!!!! And OMG, Morgan knows Peterson??????!!!!!!!! I never saw THAT coming!!!! lol Love the name though: The Orphan's Table. So wait, Morgan drove 6 hrs to see Chad, and now he's driving 6 hrs back home??? That's CRAZY! My middle son is up in NH at school, which is only 3 1/2 hours away, but I can't do 7 hours in one day, so I need to stay over! lol There's no way I can sit in a car for 12 hours, regardless of stopping for Turkey Day dinner! Ok, on to the next chapter.
  16. I did love the Elbows and Knees chapter. I guess I should have expanded on the review. I think it's important to show that not all new relationships are going to flow so smoothly their first time together (like in other stories or in the movies). I'm sure there are plenty of couples who started out bumping into each other and elbowing each other their first times together. And in the end, we now know Roy and Chad figured it out. It was definitely touching and very sad when Roy was thinking all those negative thoughts, thinking he just ruined the friendship with Chad, and how Chad was going to leave now like everyone else did. His nightmares certainly didn't help that any. I'm thrilled Roy was able to put his fears on the back-burner and try again.
  17. Omg, that convo with Tyrell was hysterical! Jeez, from Roy's first recollections, it sounded like the end of his and Chad's friendship. I knew Chad wouldn't just walk out on him; he's way too compassionate for that. Oohh, and now Roy (and Chad?) have Timmy/Tiny to take care of! Cats are soooo cute!!!
  18. I have a feeling that Turkey Day is gonna be great fun! Maybe Roy or Wes know someone they can invite, just to even the playing table, so to speak. That way Angus won't feel like the third wheel, even if Roy and Chad are only "just friends." (I hate the period there; it just doesn't look right.) And there will be more chances for Roy to share his feelings with Chad.
  19. Omg, I KNEW the last answer was Clint Eastwood!!!! That's the only answer I knew. lol I'm so glad Peterson decided to 'start over the night' with Wes. But where the hell did they go? lol Boyd was a total jackass, and as someone in the story said, it's been over twenty years; if he's not over it by now, then it's on him, and not Roy. Roy owned up to what he did, and he even came out in the process and got bullied also, taking the spotlight off Boyd. So Boyd should just stfu and leave Roy alone once and for all. So there! I was a bit surprised that Roy kinda rejected Chad, even though he feels the same way. I guess it's out of fear -- fear of losing a best friend if things don't work out. Makes sense. But it's sad for Chad. Speaking of sad, jeez, what's with poor Angus? That was sad! You need to find someone for Angus, ASAP, Cole!!!!
  20. AC -- for sure, start reading it now! You won't regret it!
  21. I know, right?! lol It sucks when RL gets in the way of my reading!!!
  22. Tim, once you start, you won't be able to stop. It's such an awesome story. I'm only on chapter 12, but I was hooked from the beginning.
  23. Peterson's smarter than I thought. He gave Chad the green light, and I hope Chad takes it. Besides, Roy would choose Chad over Peterson. Roy even said he thought of Peterson as his younger brother. Now...how OLD is Wes...? lol I thought Peterson's story was pretty sad. Matthew loved him on his own terms, not on Peterson's. He didn't love him enough to leave his wife and kids. He didn't even love him enough to try and get away for a few days to stay with him while he mourned his mother. Yes, it's time for Peterson to move on.
  24. I'm with LadyDe -- Horace was my first guess! But...I thought Wes was already spoken for -- the bouncer at the club? Or was I mistaken? Peterson's admirers seem to be growing in number! Will another chapter have the other guy from the strip club? lol Or was it the drag queen show? Now I don't remember... Was Wes the surprise in this chapter?
  25. "Yes," Roy exclaimed expansively, throwing his hands in the air. "I went to his house and stood in the front yard with a boom box playing 'I Will Always Love You.' What do you think mother?" Oh man, this chapter was a laugh-a-minute, Cole! I copied and pasted this particular line to remind myself to tell you that song is on the new country mash-up with 'Take me Home, Country Roads' by John Denver. I think Dolly Parton might sing some of 'I Will Always Love You.' Anyhoo...the part where Kendra walked in on Roy with the other guys (!!!!) after college graduation really made me !!!!! I'm really glad Maddie sent in the big guns because at least Roy's mom got him thinking that he was only hurting Chad's feelings with his avoidance. I wonder if Roy's gonna regret Chad and Peterson becoming friendly? lol Oh, and I so knew that letter was from Morgan. Sounds like there was some history there...
