A friend described the same situation with his mom. Now that he's brought home a boyfriend and kissed the boy in front of her, she's having to really acknowledge it. Just continue to be the lovable little boy she's always known loved after you do, and she should come around.

Recently, I befriended a number of Canadians. Young men, full of hope and promise, just starting their lives together with the loves of their lives. And I was thinking of how idyllic Canada was, prosperous and peaceful. Thinking of the changes in my own country since 9/11, and of the liberties we've lost, how the subsequent war on terror closed the border between the US and Canada and between the US and Mexico, It used to be so simple to decide on a whim to visit a neighboring country, without a thought of a passport. I can only hope the fear that has held the US in thrall does not fester in your country. I'll be thinking of you and your countrymen,Steve. Be strong. Stand tall. Be brave in the face of this. Be vigilant, but do not let this or any event rob you of your humanity, or your ability to open your heart to another. Sometimes, we're not so good as a species, but always remember, there's gold among the dross.

First off, this was not a "mercy" like, although it puts you closer to 200. There aren't many pics of me floating around, either, and you could probably fill a room with friends quicker than I could. Luckily, though, Fairview was fiction. In real life, Dave and I just celebrated our 24th anniversary. I could tell you to snap out of the melancholy, but sometimes, you have to experience the trough of the wave to see its crest again. If you find yourself underwater, follow the bubbles. Radio Shack sells dumb phones. A friend just replaced his Motorola flip phone with another brand. It cost him $10. Both of us use prepaid phones that cost us about $10/month. Zombie, it's funny, but you and I are opposite sides of the same coin here. I'd be more likely to research cultural attitudes in general than legality of sex acts. But I live in Texas. where things are a bit backward. What I've read about the story leads me to believe he was a sex tourist, even if he only had one partner in mind. His son's comments sounded as if the guy's family was surprised by his actions.

For a start, before going to a foreign country, a little online research on gay rights in the country might be well advised. If gay sex is illegal there, you might consider meeting up someplace else. You might also consider NOT recording video of an illegal act.
