The wise move is to pay for experience, but the shortsighted move is to hope young and inexperienced can catch up quickly…The company I used to work for was like a revolving door…we would ramp up to meet the demands of production, and layoffs when over the hump… Senior project managers use to change jobs almost as often as their underpants. They would cycle through and would come back for a second, third, and in rare cases, a fourth time… hard to hit a moving target….

My former employer called me on the morning of my father’s funeral, not to console but to ask me to save the sports pages from the Boston Globe as he was going to be out of the office for a few days…And to remind me of things he expected done…. Ya think of all sorts of things to say at the moment, however, I calmly explained the sports pages were available online and hung up. Scott is like one of those bad rashes that just won’t go away….

Sort of sums up this chapter…. As long as he could deny the existence of death it couldn't claim him. But God's plan was a simple one: in the end he killed everything.
