Something is off regarding the Bulwark...Not sure I trust her, considering Ain seems to have 'issues' with the herald...what is the source of animosity between the two? Cahrlie's aunt and uncle are in it up past their arseholes...and what a spiteful bitch she is serving a meal such as that... in direct opposition to my preference for not eating flour-based products. And amongst the vegetables were Jerusalem artichokes, designed to induce smelly wind, as well as being (I discovered) one of Charlie’s bugbears. That she was aware of these problems was clear when she commented that —as it was only a pie—she was sure I would be OK with it and that Charlie would not notice the artichokes amongst the other vegetables. So suck it up.
