Mum, Thistle and I spent the day in Charleston. Mum and I enjoy the Holy City but Thistle absolutely adores it. When we cross the Cooper river on the Ravenel bridge he gets so excited because he knows where we are and where we're going. Oh, he also knows that T, R, E, A,T spells treat so when a clerk in one of the stores spelled it instead of saying treat he sat down and waited for one. It was funny. I mean really how do you say "Uhm, sorry but he knows what that spells" and keep a straight face.
It was a beautiful day, sunny and 70/21°. We went to do some late Christmas shopping for my son before we head north on Monday. We had $100 worth of "Flipside Awards" at Tommy Bahama's that we'd earned on our last trip the day after American Thanksgiving. They expire Dec 31st and we didn't want to lose the $100 value. We bought him a really nice candy-striped linen shirt and a pine green 3/4 zip pullover to go with it.
