I have a fondness for molasses cookies. Mum and I begin our annual cookie baking tomorrow. In years past it was a marathon five days of baking and when we were finished there were dozens and dozens of cookies. Thirty plus kinds. Now we spread the baking out over two weeks and bake fewer kinds. Still there is an abundance to be shared with family and friends.
It's that "new" math and metrics to blame. Why, when I was young a man knew just how many inches he was gonna get no "ifs, ands or buts" about it ... er, well maybe some butts.
Oh that's just the pre-snow snow. It's like the light coating of flour you dip the fish into before you you batter it for frying. It helps the later snow stick better.
