  1. Oh, you moved them back outside to the garage ... that seems pretty cold.
  2. G'day y'all. It's currently warm, 65/18°. However the frosty Canadian is due to arrive later in the day, brrrrr.
  3. Oh no! Did it flood the holding pen?!? The poor herd.
  4. It's excellent, not smutty, not gory. A classic whodunnit. Mum says she'd watch it again. Which is high praise since she's typically a once and done sort.
  5. Yer eyeballs hunh?
  6. Well snuggle up with a hot cuppa tea and good story and rest. Enjoy the chilli.
  7. Hi Page. She's a bit tired. We had a busy morning taking down the last of the Christmas things. We were delayed a bit by my injured shoulder and ribs plus my being gone three to visit the doc in Philly. As a means of getting her to relax this afternoon I'm taking her out for a late lunch and a movie. We're going to see Knives Out.
  8. But I got from the onsite gifs link.
  9. Though I like them all I am particularly taken with the third. My soul needed to hear the tender wonder of those words today. Thank you.
  10. Really Albert. You running some sort of beefcake protection program?
  11. Wow, when did you start advocating for free-range beefcake. Your herd doesn't wander free.
  12. Yeah, definitely sound like Val. Next you'll be microchipping him.
  13. Uhm, bro, you're sounding a lot like Val.
  14. Thanks bro for everything.
  15. G'day y'all. It's warm, 66/19°, here this morning. Cooler weather is expected to arrive overnight before a slight warm up this weekend before the Canadians send us some cold weather for early next week.
  16. Thanks Albert.
  17. Back again at Mum's in SC. I'm exhausted.
  18. That was Lindt dark chocolate ...

    Chapter 3 Help

I think most if not all of us agree that Chase is making progress. He seems to have a much better understanding of his depression and with Dr Chorney's guidance is beginning to deal with it in a healthy. It's Hank I'd like to address. Since the story is told from Chase's perspective we don't know exactly what Hank is doing. Is he too seeking therapy. If not I believe he should. There are strong undertones of codependency in this relationship. It seems Hank has been playing the role of the "rock". Supporting Chase through a long difficult period. Has he become used to that role? He was very quick to come to Chase's aid in this most recent episode when he learned of it. Yes, it seems the caring thing to do. I don't discount that but has that become his focus? Is that how he sees Chase? Has he subconsciously been encouraging Chase's dependence? I wonder if Hank was more upset that he caught Chase "cheating" or that he caught Chase acting outside his preconceived expectations? Is Hank's steadfast refusal to hear Chase's explanation and apology a sign of an unwillingness to accept any behaviour outside his perception of who Chase is. It seems Chase's behaviour was out of character. Rather than to ask why Hank seemed very quick in his judgement and dismissal. Is he willing to be judged equally harshly if he errs? It should be obvious from the numerous thoughtful and well presented comments that this story has struck a strong chord with your readers. I think you done an amazing job bro.
  20. Hi Page. I'll pass on your greeting to the pup when I get back to SC tomorrow evening. He stays with his Nan when I make my forays to Philly.
  21. ... and shivery blue blokes in speedos.
