I had hopes to do some housekeeping chores, laundry and such. However, after taking Thistle for an abbreviated walk have decided bedrest is the order for the first part of the day at least. I pushed too much this past weekend when this migraine started. There were things I felt had to be done so I did them and am paying the consequences. I spent yesterday medicated and the majority of it asleep. I'll sleep some more today and hopefully that will put things right.

G'day y'all. Despite my plans I am not up to a train trip to Philadelphia. Nothing like cancelling a trip to the migraine specialist because of a goldarndamdramed migraine. It will be meds and back to bed for me, once I can call and cancel the appointment.

I thought at 4500 words the chapter needed fleshed out a bit. With 4800 it should be perfect.

I was an seventeen-year-old college freshman when I read The Persian Boy and The Frontrunner. I was devastated when Billy was killed. The differing perspectives exemplifies the differing maturities and the growth of both young men. I was disappointed to learn that Toby was such a jerk.

The simple answer ... yes. It's not that I suspect that Lowry of coming out as homosexual but rather coming out as being a far more colorful personality than he'd ever been allowed to express before.

Uhmmm, Marty, I think a paragraph or two at the end of this chapter failed in the posting as it seems to have ended in a cliff hanger of sorts. Young Mr. Byron seems a standin for many of us of that generation that conformed to society's expectations of us when there was little choice. However, once allowed a moment of freedom we took it. Some boldly flamboyant, others more simply. Nonetheless we all said this is me, accept it or not. I find it heartwarming that the majority of his peers refused to allow the powers-that-be to force "Lowry" back in to the closet.

Greetings Albert. Sadly no but thank you for asking. The migraine continues and there were a few chores I needed to do this morning. I pushed to complete them aggravating the migraine to the point that now I have no choice but to rest quietly. Fortunately the weather is a bit cooler with a very light breeze so we are resting in the shade outdoors.

I'm guessing your version of ear wigs were something like fuzzy earmuffs. Our version of earwigs is a insect pest with a nasty looking set of false pincers on its bum

Wait! You can do it professionally? Is there licensing involved? Do you need a college degree or other advanced training? What sort of starting salary can someone entering the field expect? Does it require continuing education credits to maintain your professional standing? Is there a guild or union membership requirement? There seems to be a lot about this "gay" thing I didn't know. Wait is it like golf and there is a PGA (Professional Gays Association) a Senior Pro Tour for those over 50 and an LPGA (Ladies Professional Gays Association).?

The problem with the establishment is it has very limited seating and the maitre d'hôtel will not accept reservations. If you're lucky you might be able to dine al fresco but then you've got to deal with the bloody rabbits.

My paternal grandmother wanted to live to be 100. Her 100th birthday was in March. As it turned out on the same day my sister died. We celebrated Grandma's birthday three days later, on the day the officials in Hawaii were finally able to contact us about my sister. Grandma died within two months, on the day we posted my sister's obituary in the local paper. We never told Grandma and she hadn't read that morning's paper so she never knew but it was a bit like the Twilight Zone the way events transpired.
