    Chapter 1

Reyansh wasn't perfect, but his patience with Austin is definitely laudable. Grief can take a strong toll on a relationship and Reyansh was a rock for Austin when he needed him. I agree that both of them needed time apart to recenter themselves and the boundaries of their recovering relationship. Thank you so much for commenting!
  2. Just because he is in bed doesn't mean he is being lazy. He might have been very very busy....
  3. You are both lovely.
  4. Shattered is an excellent word to describe Brandon in this chapter. The two boys are growing closer and closer, but there are obstacles that keep them from exploring that. Thank you for commenting, but in regards to Leia:
  5. Perhaps, if Brandon had been a little more subtle about it, lol.

    Chapter 1

Thank you for the comments. I'm glad you enjoyed the story. For once, I think we agree on something...Tyler is someone who deserves a messy end. Thanks again!
  7. I am so sorry, Clo. You are in our thoughts.

    The Story

Definitely got an old fashioned, Lovecraftian horror feel from this. Without, you know, the problematic parts of Lovecraft. I love how atmospheric this piece was, with the desolation of the island, the suspicion of the island inhabitants, the brooding paranoia that builds within the protagonist throughout. Well done!

    Chapter 1

Thank you so much. This was a story that was very challenging to write, so hearing comments like this really means a lot to me. I hope you are well, healthy, safe and loved as well.
  10. As much as I loathe to agree with @Albert1434, that usually how I manage my ingredients as well.
  11. Does it also mean that someone is proficient in something? Like tech savvy?

    Chapter 1

Thank you. It was written to be somewhat confusing, so I'm glad it came across as so. Thank you for commeting, I'm really glad that you enjoyed it.

    Chapter 1

KERAUNOPHOBIA The world lit up, illuminated by the white fork of lightning crackling through the dark sky. The heavy rain was a constant drumbeat against the roof and windows. He didn’t mind; it was a comforting sound. The thunder rumbled through the sky, but that too was a comforting growl, unlike the deafening claps that would sometimes rattle the house. He leaned forward, placing his hands on the glass as another streak of lightning broke the darkness. A faint scent, musky and herbal, te
  14. For as long as he could remember, Austin was always terrified of storms. After the death of his mother, the dominoes start falling and the reasons behind his fear start to come to light in a way he never expected.
  15. Can I get lost in those eyes please?
  16. We love you too.
  17. I think Brandon is slowly opening up to Jordan, but is still struggling with a lot of shame and doubt at this point. Jordan is patient enough to wait, but there is only so much he can do to help his friend. Thanks for commenting!
  18. Antebellum architecture has to do with houses. Antebellum, as a time period, refers to "occurring or existing before a particular war, especially the American Civil War". Antebellum architecture is referring to the style of house in that period, after the Revolutionary but before the Civil War, mostly found in the South. Those are mostly plantation style, I think. Slavery did exist during the period, especially in the South again. (This was a 5 minute Google search cobbled together with memories of high school several decades ago, so take it with a grain of salt).

    Accused

I'm not even going to pretend my hackles didn't go up when I saw the name Josh. I really admire the fact that you are not afraid of shying away from difficult subject matter, your stories are very brave. I had a little trouble following the events. I wasn't sure if Patrick was accused twice, or dragged back into things for no reason and why Danny stood by him the first time but not the second. It was a very good story and I was simultaneously infuriated on Patrick's behalf but could kinda see where some of the parents were coming from, at least initially. So it was really heartwarming to see his old students rallying around him at the end.
  20. Yeah, Brandon has much more to deal with than the average teenager, which is why he is kind of all over the place. Thanks for commenting!
  21. Sorry about the crying. Brandon has never been through trauma before and his coping mechanisms aren't the healthiest. I agree that Keith is a creep. Thanks for commenting!
  22. I think Creating and Enabling is pretty cool myself, but I might be biased. Leia has been through some shit, I don't blame her for having trouble accepting things. Thank you for commenting!
  23. Thank you so much! Not The Sun has a lot of twists and turns, and I'm glad to hear you are enjoying it!
  24. Ah well, it was fun while it lasted.
