I guess my question is along the lines of why is it 'why did I' vs. 'why do I' - that's where the speed element comes in. He's saying all these things in past tense, yet he's still quite in the middle of things. Using past tense implies a change beyond just questioning. That's all.

There's part of me that wonders how he's having so quick an evolution on humans/non-wolf shifters. His exile has truly shaken him so far to his core that everything is now up for grabs? Its an interesting place for a college student to be, that's for sure. Good stuff.

I had been wondering exactly where things were headed after the last couple chapters. The current story arc definitely feels finished, but definitely not the story itself. I do hope you continue on with things. There is so much I feel is left to be explored in the world of Morningstar. (Though, you may need to throw a bone to your CoTT fans before you move on!).

Francois Couperin le Grand (1668-1733) had a large oeuvre, much more extensive than the keyboard works that form the core of what he is remembered for now. He was very much interested in a 'reunification' of aspects of French vs. Italian musical taste that had become quite disparate in the early Baroque, and nowhere can his efforts to create such a fusion be seen more evidently than in his chamber sonatas. Thanks for reading, Gary. John may be his own worst enemy, but he also has a support network keeping him grounded now. We just have to hope he doesn't try to be a hero and deal with this on his own, right?

Thanks for reading. I am really glad the mood came through, even before getting to the big business at the end. Emma isn't going easy on John by doing this, that's for sure, but John isn't protesting too hard. I think that says something.

February 4 2022 I’m starting to get a bit stir-crazy. I’ve been awake since the 21st of January and on leave from work the whole time. It’s been helpful, I guess, but I need to be doing something other than trying to write something worthwhile both book-wise and here in this journal, and watching shit daytime TV. Good to finally see Bailey's side of this event. Well, not good, per se, but enlightening. I haven't much to say that others have not already said so I will leave things be... But Chris and Eric need a reckoning. I hate their type of human.

It's good to see that Liam finally seems to have reached a decision point. I think his feelings for Alek are too strong to just set aside. I guess the question is whether or not Liam has the strength to push back against those fears enough to give a relationship an honest chance. I think he can, with help from his friends (and maybe some counselling!).
