Chapter 8 – Trouble with Gifts At eight am on Sunday morning Charlie finally took his car out of storage. Thanks for reading this. I think most children get close to a parent and can sense what is going on faster than anyone else. Barbara is just extra good on her whole family. Chapter 7 – Barbara Makes Her Presence Known Thursday and Friday passed in a blur for Charlie. He moved through the days on automatic, rising each day, going about his daily tasks, smiling, talking, and none of it really penetrating beyond the surface. It was only when he was in front of his students that Charlie came to life. For them he worked, joked, and was fully attentive. However, the moment the last one climbed on the school bus and it pulled away, the life drained away from Charlie.

Well he wasn't lead blindly into being a crook. However whatever went wrong must have been a doozy. Seems that everyone is going to pay for it. I wonder what John got them all into now. Till next chapter and maybe an answer or two.

KC, I found my betas in Chat. I find I have an advantage with them when they read. Because both use English as a second language they spot my errors in time, space, and basic sentence structure for me. They tell me honestly what doesn't make sense. I then have a native English speaker as my editor. He finds my spelling and grammar errors but helps to make sure the American slang stays in place and doesn't get lost in translation on me. Wayne PS - Cia makes a great point. I read and comment on a lot of work. That allows me to see what is out there, what works, and because I am willing to help them by reading many return the favor.

Well you know Mark isn't telling the truth. One or two spots you might want to reread a bit Frosty. Missing words but was able to put it together. Poor Zach. He is the caregiver, the one who cleans up after everything and now this. Mark might be the one who had to deal with a rough childhood but it looks like he never truly left that life behind when he got together with Zach.
