  1. Happy Birthday, Jer'...have a blast listening to some of that music you're always recommending!
  2. Lacey told me they had rescheduled that surgery, but not exactly when. I also join in the well wishing for him and his mom. I hope Chris will keep us posted. Hey, Mark, Chris's major problem with telling him that is that they each tell each other when I hit on them!
  3. Might I suggest that a suitable penalty for Graeme be a pie in the face? A before and after picture would be most helpful.
  4. I'm kind of with you, there. He takes Wade, obviously, but also Cole, who offered to go so that Wade wouldn't be outed yet, and Cam Heely, who is already out. So Cam will pair with Matt, and Wade can 'stay in the closet' with Cole, a friend from his university. That way, everything's completely plausible until Wade is ready to come out and they keep control of that timing.
  5. Okay, Mark, I'm really going to be paying attention, now! So you're doing a character build of Mrs. Danfield now, huh? This is gonna be great...
  6. Why the year and a quarter lag time between issuance and our notification here?!?
  7. AGREED! Mark, that chapter was a fabulous read--I thoroughly enjoyed the pace, and the plotting. Beau's reaction to everything was just icing on the cake--I sure hope he's right about his mother protecting him from his father, but that may be why he attends a boarding school away from home.
  8. Don't knock yourself down just yet, you're a very handsome young man.

    Bah

Hey, we'll be patient...well, at least I will. The writing is good enough to wait for. I know what you mean about the economy and jobs over there...we've had a heck of a time renting out our condo for the last year. And ever since the Kona Ranch House closed (the first time), going over there just hasn't been the same...

    Opinions needed

Why can't he get a .ca domain?
  11. W.L. that original "Christmas Carol" was 1938 with Reginald Owen, and Gene and Kathleen Lockhart.
  12. I don't want to follow the crowd--only the beautiful guys in it...
  13. But being around when she's in a mood to go shopping would still scare the piss out of me and I'm sure JP wouldn't appreciate puddles on his floors.
  14. Besides, even the top 40 stations still pull out a 10-year old song once in a while...
  15. The respect they all have for Claire and Jack is a return of the respect they all got from Claire and Jack. Neither of them was lacking in giving support to JP, Stef, Brad, Ace or anyone else when they needed and deserved it. That is how they accumulated their power, they earned it the old fashioned way.
  16. I think we all heard about the defeat. I still don't understand what the organized religions think they're going to gain by denying rights to people who aren't going to join their religions anyway!
  17. You should really try to watch the original movie of "A Christmas Carol" from, I believe, 1934, or somewhen thenabout. It was excellently done, and true to the story. The special effects, yes, SFX even then, were excellently done for that time period, and make the movie a true pleasure to watch! It makes George C. Scott look like an amateur. I also like your number 5 pick, especially that poor little tree that ends up being picked out. Just one little red ball and it bends over from the weight of it. How about the animated "How The Grinch Stole Christmas!"? It's another true holiday classic by now.
  18. Actually, Tiger, he's wiser doing it this way...they have to keep the account open unless he either requests that it be closed, or he defaults on it, and then close it for breach of contract and non-payment. This way it costs them money to maintain it on the rolls, and he still has a (relatively) cheap card to use in emergencies. He can still avoid high finance charges by logging into their site and using it to pay off his card whenever he actually makes a charge, since he'll be able to see it right away, and they post a payment the day that it was generated on their site, not the day it actually clears his bank. So, for example, he goes to dinner with me (I wish) and has no cash, he charges the $80 dinner to his ChaseVISA, goes home and logs in, goes to chase.com and logs in to his account, selects his account and sees the $80 charge. He goes to make a payment, and chooses the $80 payment, they generate an e-check to his bank account, wherever that may be, and when it clears, the payment is posted the same day he created it (if he generates it before midnight ET) or the day after the charge hits, resulting in almost no finance charge.
  19. Shiznitz? Is that something like Shazbat?
  20. Actually goats' milk isn't that bad...my mom used to get it from a friend of hers at work--their goat produced way too much for them to possibly drink. It's not as rich as bovine milk, and because of its consistency is not suitable for making cheeses, although yogurt is still possible. After their dog attacked the goat (Weimareiners are so f'ing stupid!) it had to be put down, and we started using Carnation instant before going back to initially liquid dairy.
  21. I think your release notes said that it was a filler/transition piece to go from one to the other...
  22. I think you mean "Widow's Walk"...a widow's peak refers to a particular kind of male pattern baldness.
  23. I'll agree, Summer Love was good, just not as good as the others. Mark's storyline works better when his chapters are more fleshed out and when the writing is up to the standard that we're used to from him. Writing a 'filler' for the summer was...okay...just not as good as it could have been. It kept everyone in the loop, but just didn't have the 'pop' and 'zing' that the rest of them do.
  24. Something horrendous, huh? Hmm...Matt discovers Wade's abuse by his father on the videocam, and decides to show it to Wade...obviously Wade is terribly shocked, more from embarrassment toward Matt than anger. Matt and Wade obviously discuss the situation thoroughly, and Wade tells Matt that he coordinates his visits home to protect his younger brother from his father. At this time, Matt asks Wade if that's why he keeps 'zoning out' during sex, because he's not really 'into' it? Matt continues to ask, explaining that he really does love Wade, but wants him to be able to enjoy himself during sex, and if he's not, then he wants to help him. After discussing options, they call Stef and JP for a conference call, after which they save the video cassette and put a fresh one in the camera for the city touring that day. Matt and Wade forget about the cassette until back in Stanford, at which time they show it to JP and Stef. After careful editing, to protect Wade, a copy is made and mailed to the senator, anonymously of course. Then a chapter break occurs, which is otherwise known as a cliffie.
  25. I used to go to High School with someone whose eyes were blue, he was blonde also, and his looks combined with that made him absolutely breathtaking to behold. To this day, when I look in my yearbooks, his class pictures still take my breath away.
