I don't think that's even a possibility, the whole family loves Matt and Wade--and there's nothing that Robbie wouldn't do for him, and I don't think Brian would even have a chance at getting into the hospital. Although I voted for Other|and mentioned Hepatitis.D, there's a possibility that he could've been hit with the renal failure and Mono at the same time, and: He had a fever or sore throat to indicate mono the morning they took him to the hospital. His kidneys were weak, and the mono could've triggered their shutdown--weakest point of entry and all that, which is why he's having such a serious case.
Mark, I'm figuring that he's knowing what Canadians do on those long winter nights...and I don't think bowling is a Canadian pastime, like it is in the US Midwest during winter.
You should know better than that by now, Mark...
If you're going to do another death, why couldn't you have had Brian slip in that puddle while walking to his car and hit his head on the street, where he wouldn't be discovered for hours...instead of having Matt tire-splash him again?
I'm with Paya on Hepatitis...had Hep.A only once, and never want it again...it's a real bitch when even your skin hurts... ...I think Matt has Hep.D, which is serious and laid a friend of ours up in the hospital for 6 months.
Sailing on the ocean is slow and takes time, Bloodlines next.
How about?:
The Cliff James
Master of Suspense Award
It wouldn't become a "Memorial" award until his passing.
The bad part is that you believed him...
The first year, however, was 1, not 0, so, 1-10, or in the case of your example of 2000, 2000 was, in fact, part of the 1990's which started wtih 1991, and ended with 2000. The current decade began 1/1/2001.
This ribbing you guys, and gals, are giving him is too funny!!!
cia's husband: Welcome to GA...and take all the banter for what it is--a lot of good natured ribbing now and then--and, more often than not, one great big BS session. Just be careful if you go into the Political|Soapbox forum, it's not for the faint of heart...and be extremely careful in the choice of words in replies there, too. People, for some reason, seem to get really bent out of shape on some issues... Other than that, have fun and enjoy yourself!
"Shake a leg," huh? Reminds me of the revenge I got with one of my workers...he had plastered a local band's bumper stickers on the ceiling fans, and my car's bumper and side panel, in a place I used to work. So to get even with him, I poured jalapeno juice into his coke... The poor kid would've been in a world of hurt, but I had gotten an ice water when I saw him moving toward his coke, so while he was downing the quart of i/w, I told him, "Listen and listen good: Don't bring those bumper stickers around anymore, and DO NOT even think about trying to beat me at pranks." To which he readily gave in.
Gay, huh? But not so vain as to tactically hide the "For Dummies" series of books on the shelves......seriously, James, others are supposed to think you're a smart miracle worker on that stuff, not the other way around...
Yeah, Linxe, please don't give up on it...remember, the whole story is actually a flashback, so you've got lots of flexibility to build the story back around to that beginning and then, possibly, continue from the 'present day' perspective.
I have also been thinking of my younger friend since I heard he was actually going through the surgery last week, and there hasn't been a day I haven't thought about him chomping at the bit to get ahold of a laptop or phone to text-chat with... ...he gets bitchy without his texting! Please let him know that he can text me, too. I'm leaving my text # in a e-mail to C.L.L's yahoo account.
I sort of had the feeling that might have been your field...you have now, what, 6 people in the story who are or were very good at economic planning? Just with characters that have been integrated into the story. Then there are all the people who work for Stef in his financial enterprise, not on the real estate side, but the investing/capital funding stuff...
Mark, loved Ch. 41, Ch. 42 was a nice transitioning chapter. The CC scene was priceless, especially exposing his old high school flame...as a shitty lay! That was absolutely priceless!
In Ch. 42, Mummy's letter connecting them to being in cahoots with the bank was quite interesting!!!
Save the environment, buy a pre-lit fake tree! They're quite real looking, now. And they store with the lights already on the branches, so you only take it out each year and open the branches, then decorate.
