This is what I meant when I said I don't know where this goes, Kinney was suddenly there, and I guess he will stay. Well, I suffered through a house tour some weeks ago...so many people. This may sound funny, but I had a hard time writing this chapter. I was so sad, I had to stop a few times. Now, with some distance, I'm pleased how well it is received. Thank you, Parker, for your comment. It must be horrible to lose the love of your life.

Chapter 2 The cab crawled behind a large excavator, engulfed in a cloud of dust. When he wasn't cursing and slapping the wheel, the driver negotiated his way through our city leader’s latest cleanup project. Buildings with broken windows and graffiti would soon become upmarket condominiums, loft apartments, shops and restaurants - if I believed all those brightly colored sales hoardings around me. In an attempt to re-urbanize the industrial park, the city had sold property for a nominal price.

Thank you, Def. I think that's an intriguing question. What affects the building of a person? Are we just a mix between outer influences? If we think about those influences, knew them, would we fight them? I don't want to be affected by him, her, this? Would it be bad, if Luis and Tristan influence him? If he decides he like Diarmad, does this automatically mean it isn't by his own free will? Ha, you made me think about my own story, lol.

Lol...yes many questions still, but they will be answered, I can promise this at least. We're going at Noel's pace. We get to know what he gets to know, even when it feels slow. Noel learns something new and the next question comes up. And you're right, seeing his grandmother dying was very traumatic for him. We will learn more about this in the next chapter. Sui, this was such a great story. I absolutely enjoyed it. It had everything: great characters, an exciting and well crafted story. I was on the edge of my seat at the end, and in the middle and at the start. lol. I couldn't imagine how they could get out of this mess. For some reason I really like Raphael, and if you ever feel like writing about him, I will read it. Thank you for sharing.

You did it! I found this poetry prompt really deserved the word 'challenge'. Quite provokative, Gary! I can rely. Still, we should remember that without the church many beautiful pieces of art wouldn't excist, as in the past only the church and nobles were able to pay the artists. It boils down to the old question: Is art worth the money paid for it, or should it be invested somewhere else and art is pure luxus and waste of money? -
I like the little 'side-stories' e.g. the moon colonists, it adds to the atmosphere. Well, Jer is Jer. I assume he is a typical representative for his species? If so, we can't be angry with him, I think. I'm curious what happens next.
