The Holly and the Ivy Chapter Eight Diarmad wanted to take me back to school. And so, early Sunday morning, we all piled into three identical black SUVs. It felt like an agent thriller à la James Bond and I almost made a joke - almost. But one look at their serious expressions and professionalism, and I kept my mouth shut. Landyn and Simon drove with Diarmad and me. Ronan, Becca, and two men from the security team were in the second car. The nice old guy, who’d woken me on the bus, drove the

Noël is staying, for now. Learning that he made decisions of his own certainly helped. Simon has been human once, maybe he knew exactly what to say to convince him to stay. The fact that Tristan and Luis didn't have romantic feelings for Diarmad was another good point. Otherwise there would have always been doubts. Yes, it was close. It still is. I really appreciate your comments and thoughts, Def. Thank you so much!.

Dughlas, I love 'triumvirate of souls'. It's perfect! I might even borrow it. Diarmad waited so long for his third mate, he is afraid of doing something wrong. But now that Noël stays, that might change. You're absolutely right, Noël is the strongest, he even showed some of his strength already. Thank you for this wonderful comment, dughlas!

Thank you, Peter! Simon has been human once, maybe he knows what Noël needed to hear. He is also completely honest, he admits he hated Noël. Someone like this could make a reliable friend. When I write about vampires, I always have this song in my head: Who Wants to Live Forever? This is why I always try to give them a mate, someone who stays with them over the long time, centuries even, they live. To be alone, to have no one to share your memories with, means to pass away inwardly. In the real world, we then give up and die. Like Helmut Schmidt. Never feel bad about smiling.

Lost and Found Chapter 3 I leaned back into one of the wicker chairs that had come with the house. Its lumpy pillow felt a little damp. I meant to replace those pillows weeks ago, but I hadn’t been able to get up the energy. The day at work had called for the last bottle of the imported beer Elise always brought for Hanako when they came over. Strong, refreshing, and slightly bitter. An image popped into my mind: square jaws, high cheekbones, dark stubble, short black hair. I caught myself sm

Poetry prompt 10 - Italian sonnet
Aditus commented on Puppilull's story chapter in Poetry prompt 10 - Italian sonnet
I guess you had the same dream as my sister. lol I don't know why I always have to read your poems aloud to get into the melodie. This time I was alone, though. So no weird reactions from other people. And yes, I like it. -
' The fact that Simon doesn't like him will actually make what he said easier for Noel to believe.' I hadn't thought of that. Your absolutely right. Thank you, Lit! I'm always looking forward for your comments. I hope I could answer your question.

Thank you, Geemeedee! I'm glad I could answer your questions and concerns.

Noël can only get those walls down completely , as you put it, after he's mated with Diarmad. He will still feel doubt. He isn't there yet. Thank you for your comment, Puppi!

Mrs. Marjorie drives like my grandmother... There are so many possibilities this could go wrong, I can't even think about it. The only hope is that when they find out, he has some kind of support team that will help him.
-
I can't believe he is even considering this! Although.... Sometimes a familiar routine can provide a safe feeling. Wow.

The Holly and the Ivy Chapter Seven – Thinking Out Loud I sat down in one of the lounge chairs on the deck outside the living room, wrapped in the woolen blanket I’d snatched from Diarmad’s bed. It was cold and smelled of snow and log fire. Landyn had drawn the curtains a while ago, making this the perfect hide-out to sort through the jumbled mess my life had become. I had to get my head around the facts. The Seraei have been living on Earth for centuries - still a strange concept to me. Howe

Noël's grandma has tried to explain everything. But you never think of every aspect. Noël keeps asking questions,Diarmad answers them, and then thinks of additional things Noël needs to know. It is a lot to take in. Thank you, Defiance for your compassionate comments! I'm glad you trust Noël to be able to handle this.

That's a good question. Would he have run, when they had told him everything at once? Or is better in small pieces? Let's just hope he doesn't run... Thank you Lit, for your comments and telling me your thoughts.

If all goes according to plan after their joining ritual on Christmas Day, Noël's birthday.
-
No? Why would it? Or...would that be bad? Anyway, there are no rules how to read the story. If you smiled...well smiling is good. Right? I fear there won't be a dull moment any time soon... Thank you for your continuous support, Peter. I'm always looking forward for your comments.

Well, it had to end some time. After living in relative safety for a while, being out there again is hard. On top of this getting sick is even harder. Right now he is without hope. A very sad chapter.

So, the mysterious lifeguard appears again, who has his own troubles. Which of course are not comparable with Eric's. There are a lot of 'ifs'. What happens if Ambrose finds everything out? What if Eustace finds out? Will he take Eric in? Could he legally? Where would Eric go next? Is there some place where the weather is not so cold? Can he reach it? I just lean back and wait.

Lol, yep, no biggie indeed. And Noel already dreams of drinking blood... I guess, he is allowed to freak. Just a little. Thank you, Puppi!
-
This is actually a good starting point for Noel: 'you need to learn how to coexist'. He also needs to live with the consequences of coexisting, as you said: 'Accepting that they know things about the King which cause him to act instinctively' A very good breakdown of the situation. Thank you, Def, for this great comment!

Poetry Prompt 10 - Italian Sonnet: Ripples in the Sand
Aditus commented on Aditus's story chapter in Poetry Prompt 10 - Italian Sonnet: Ripples in the Sand
Lol well, you wake up, need to get out and don't want to do that naked. Err...thanks! -
The Holly and the Ivy Chapter Six As soon as the McGills and their entourage had been escorted out by Landyn and Ronan, Diarmad turned from the door, barely able to hold on to the edge of his desk. “Noël,” he panted, suddenly deathly pale. I quickly took him by his arm, and led him back to his chair, where he collapsed. He was shivering violently by then, beads of sweat running down his face. “Please, Noël…,” he lifted his trembling hand, trying to reach me, but didn’t have the strength. He n

As nice as this intermezzo with Eustace is, I have a feeling it will be over soon. The Anderson story is getting thin, every question feels like it could be a trap.

Chapter 21 Poetry Prompt 15- Loyalty
Aditus commented on Headstall's story chapter in Chapter 21 Poetry Prompt 15- Loyalty
I am curious. Did you ever say this aloud? To the right person? Or is this you ranting (impressively) inside?
