    Chapter 12

    Prologue

So, I finally got to read this and I'm not disappointed, so glad there is a chapter 1 next. And yes I stopped confused at the double Ash and had to read that part again, but I have an excuse-- I didn't have my first coffee.

    Chapter 10

I'm trying to envision (with my mind's ears, of course) a double snort.

    Chapter 9

Better late than never. One word: Balance. You found the key word of many of my stories. I'm glad you're enjoying the series so far, Al.

You have to ask? or did she find some honor and actually lead the fight? I hate that they lost India; Yes that was difficult to write. she was able to sense something in Kavan, Yes, and I can't wait to reveal what...maybe next book. Or you guys can guess it earlier, not that I would tell you, ( insert evil laugh here). A great chapter; well written and it flowed really wonderfully. *bows* thank you, centex, for the compliment and the great comment.

    Hiding

PT #83 It’s a matter of common knowledge among friends and family that the protagonist of your story despises a certain person. Ironically, this very person dies in a freak accident at their house. As no one would believe this, they have to hide the body. Help them. PT#84 In order to avoid the pesky marriage-soon-trigger, Ash doesn’t date, officially. Find the most outrageous excuses to tell the family or — just tell them a truth of your choice, preferably all nicely boxed up in a short story.

Because it does? Or because your an empathetic reader?
  10. Yess! Thank you for this! enjoying this very much! I'm glad to hear this.
  11. Yes, yes, look me in the eyes.

It works both ways and I absolutely love one-sided obsession. Tell a shifter they're obsessed with their mate. Perfect!

@VBlew Lots of layers in this chapter. Thank you. Hopefully Konstantin and Katherine are not setup to where they have to fight each other. Fingers crossed. The vampire-One Childe-bloodsong is very complicated.

I don't think so. Everyone who was involved has to be present and Joseph is gone. And would she do this? Wouldn't she be illoyal to her bloodsong?

@drsawzall How long before a more powerful clan comes a calling for the Night Clan, or the lord of their city Caspian to dispense some punishment/justice??? A valid question I'm going to answer next chapter. Mother is an idiot, and if the lessons of human mediocre management apply to the vampire world, Warren is about to become a freaking rockstar!!! Simone met her just reward/just deserts!! Yes, yes and yess! just wo will make Mommy Dearest responsible for the deaths of so many??? Guesses are very welcome. *rubs hands* Thank you for this great comment.

@Geemeedee not only is she too weak, she’s also too much of a coward. absolutely. If Konstantin had died, I might’ve stopped reading. Lucky me. Why can’t they all just leave? Konstantin can “support” her from afar. I still don’t get it. What would she do without them? She would be killed. I think Konstantin fears to would be understood as his fault - he didn't her support enough. Thank's for sharing for your thoughts with me/us, Gee.

@CincyKris I think the exact wording of the blood oath will be important. You're right. Kavan needs to figure out a way that mother can be killed without hurting Konstantin. Good idea. Thank you for reading and commenting on chapter five, Kris.

I totally agree. Only only to chop her head off would be too easy. She has to suffer! I have to think of something.... Thank you, Terry. I love bloodsong complications. I mean the word, not for me. Ugh.

Now what--Is the Night Clan ended? Well, a few are still left, including Mother. What will Konstantin do? Is he the new leader? That would be the logical consequence BUT, there's still Mother. I don't think she'll agree. I do not want a bloodsong. I want a real mate without the bloodsong complications. Yeah, all this blood drinking and stuff. A agree. Thank you, scrubber.

I was a shadow melder—or a shadow dancer, which I thought sounded even cooler without understanding the difference at the time. I knew it was a very rare gift. I could hide in the dark, and even vampires had trouble finding me. When Konstantin suggested exploring the city and the surrounding areas and testing out my gift and hunting, I balked at first. As the clan had a donor pool, I had shied away from feeding elsewhere before, but he was adamant about me learning to be independent of clan reso

    Wordless

I can all too well relate to the feeling of being wordless. One way out for me is music. Sometimes listening to lyrics and their music, any music, helps me to find the right words again, to get rid of being overwhelmed by the need of packing too much in too few words. Good article.
  23. Let me tell you what I did. When I read music, harmony and some such, I thought this obviously has to be read aloud not only in my head, so I took my phone and went to a place where I could do that. While I was reading your poem I thought it probably sounds all wrong or at least not as intended, with a German accent and a French tinge. This is why I won't/can't comment on the musical aspect of your poem, other than I very much liked it. I would love to be able to enjoy similar poems or any other experimental poetry from your pen, as always.
  24. You'll see next week why absolutely love the general theme this week. Perfect.

    Chapter 3

Yeah, I thought so, but I wanted to be sure. I hate to disappoint my readers. Your comments were very encouraging. You brought the story back on my radar, thank you, Dan.
