  1. He came out of retirement in order to help Robbie, let's hope he follows his advice and Walter's good work wasn't in vain.
  2. Alex of course, is the despicable and manipulative boy who has used Robbie and then gone to great lengths to conceal it. Robbie is wary of Alex and has every reason to be. He doesn't regard Alex as a friend and will want to keep their little bit of history well away from Nathan. It is an option though, which he will have to consider. Thanks, Tim.
  3. Of course, we, like Robbie, have no idea what is happening back at the Taylor residence. We can only assume that Sue was not impressed by her husband's poor handling of the situation, especially after she had worked so hard to reassure Robbie. Thanks for your comment.
  4. I knew that I was in trouble; big trouble. I wasn’t even supposed to be outdoors, let alone on my own and trying to cross something that resembled an assault course. I was meant to be convalescing from a serious head injury, barely two weeks out of a life threatening coma. The doctors had only discharged me early on the proviso that I was to rest at home under supervision. This was hardly the rest that they had ordered; if anything, it was the complete opposite. It had stopped raining, but

    Potpourri of Updates

Good to know that you're actually a human Myr and doing non-website related stuff like converting porches. I was beginning to wonder what you were doing with all that free time you must have on your hands now that you've almost finished exterminating those nasty bugs!
  6. That really is funny. Did they know this?
  7. I must admit, I just had to read up about this so-called church. They're really scary!
  8. In the eyes of the law, there is no difference and anyone who attempts to take money from a bank can expect no leniency. I have enough trouble taking my own money out! Seriously though, I have never heard of anyone robbing a bank to feed his/her family but I know someone from Boston who told me that he used to regularly put money into a bucket that was passed around his local bar in the eighties or nineties to go to the IRA who were fighting the British in Northern Ireland. They were also planting bombs in pubs, department stores, and museums in London and other cities in the UK, which killed and maimed a lot of innocent people, including young children. Not much different to what ISIS are doing nowadays. He was therefore indirectly funding a terrorist organization and although he admits now that he may have been wrong to do this, he's not exactly riddled with guilt or losing any sleep over it. This guy is married with kids and he's one of the nicest people that you could meet. It's impossible to imagine him hurting anyone.
  9. I'm pretty sure it's 250 likes and I've added one for you. You can read about it here https://www.gayauthors.org/faq/authors/stories/what-is-the-moderation-queue-r16/ Chapters don't take long to be approved though.
  10. It can't be an easy discovery at 99!
  11. Kendra's even funnier than I remember her first time around. “They must think I’m some kind of weirdo.” Poor Chad's still a little naive when it comes to a drag show. I'm enjoying this more second time.
  12. For Chad, experiencing a show like that first hand would definitely have been an eye-opener for him. I like your description of the Rail Station and it's slightly unusual patrons. Better than a real opera, for sure.
  13. I wouldn't mind having Roy as my boss. He's a very understanding guy, but Chad isn't quite fixed yet is he?
  14. I think that's correct. There must be a weakness there in the first place and it's in all of us.
  15. This is such a good blog JayT. 'Everything you do will affect someone, somewhere, somehow', is so true, but I doubt if many people out there would be comfortable with such an idea. Throughout the ages, people have undoubtedly looked to whatever religion they follow to define to them what is 'good' and what is 'bad', rather than use their own judgment. Maybe as a way of absolving them of any guilt. 'I don't make the rules around here, I just follow them like everyone else'. Religion has a lot to answer for. Not a day goes by without someone killing someone else in the name of a God and they all believe that they're 'good' for doing it. I'm not just talking about the obvious loonies either. Apparently, God fought on both sides in WW1 & WW2 when in excess of 80 million people lost their lives. It makes you wonder if any of the religions out there are actually working for the right guy!

    Symbols

Yeah, as with most of your readers, I like Kendra, but it's her son Roy, who's the interesting one. Unlike Lisa, I'm not planning on reading the whole story in a day though.

    Signs

Hey, Cole. This was one of the first stories that I read on GA, but in those days I kept a low profile and rarely commented on anything I read or even bothered to sign in. Times have changed and I've decided to read it again so that I can use it for the 'critique' blog that Renee has recently revived. To help me, this time, I'm going to add my name to the impressive list above and comment as I go along, even though I'm three years behind everyone else and I know what happens next!
  18. Thank again, Albert. Robbie has been lucky, not all schools are as good, same as everywhere else I'm afraid.
  19. Thanks, Albert. Just noticed this. Yes, of course, you're right. I'm afraid some of these early chapters need quite a bit of editing. I've been working my way through them gradually, but it's time-consuming and boring. Thank you for your review, as usual, it's always appreciated.

    Chapter 1

Nice chapter but I can't see Will waiting until graduation. Probably not a good idea to plan something like that so far ahead.
  21. I don't see the point in having these dances at school. Things are getting better but there were a lot of straight guys and girls at my school who avoided them as well. A lot of meaningless hype and extra pressure put on kids.
  22. Love the video. There's so much going on it that you have to watch it a few times. A lot of passion and some amazing plays. Thanks
  23. Very true JayT. It's possible that Don may regard Nathan as the corruptor in all of this. I wonder what Daniel will make of his friend being banished from the house?
  24. This is a fantastic review, well-done @William King I confess to not having read any of Cassie's work. I will make a start though with 'Rule #3'
  25. I just came across this and I'm glad that I did. This is a wonderful poem and very moving Molly. Families generally cause the most heartache, but it seems that you have been able to draw inspiration from your experience and turn it into something beautiful. It says a lot about your character.
