  1. Great chapter, but obviously you are another one, Stannie, who is fond of cliffhangers...
  2. You have made it clear, but so much is going on in this story that I had to read the chapters again to avoid missing details... - very gripping and moving story! And now more and more to come it seems, at least there is fodder enough for speculation for everybody.

    Chapter XXVII

    What a great father!

    Prologue

Actually this is something I would never ever have guessed. He seems too sure of himself to be in self-denial?
  5. Great! Can hardly wait! Thanks for sharing your wonderful story.
  6. so much loneliness and longing - in April 7 I like that the first and last verse complement each other: love and run after friendship and walk in the beginning I love the sonnets, too, love their rhythm how their lines run into each other you do have a way with words...
  7. I hate cliffhangers. Still. You are obviously good at them, too... Great story. Lots of promise and it feels so real.

    Making Plans

Wonderful story! It is so vivid. I have been thinking about poor Eric in his cold cottage with Christmas coming up while A+A were discussing Christmas shopping.

    Chapter XXV

    too true, sir, too true
  10. Great that your block has been lifted. We are benefiting from that. I read the first chapters when they were posted and knew that this was a beginning, now it does feels like one, too, and that something is going on and will be doing so, there are developments and far more open paths to follow. It does certainly not feel too different from the first two chapters, not like a break, but you have made it clear here that you are telling from hindsight (?) / memories of a crucial experience.
  11. Your tone has changed somehow. Now it feels like this is just the beginning of something.

    My Name is Nick

Please tell me that this is not the complete story! It feels complete to me. But I do not want it to be...

    Chapter 78

Rejoice that your pen is mute.. how could I You leave our reactions to ourselves here, too You usually do Did? Your poems have got darker of late I know you are far away, I wonder how you are, galaxies away. I would you shone bright with life, points of brilliant light at a far horizon. Loving in your self-made universe.

    Chapter XIX

I have never encountered a control freak who admitted to being one so openly. Chris must mean the world to him now. Greg has laid himself bare to him without reserve. He must trust him completely. But what else could he do? Please post the next chapter sooooon

    Christmas Part 4

Chet really is amazing here in his unconditional love and support. And mature, as Gene 63 has pointed out. This also reflects on his parents, does it not? Both must have shown him what it is to love, even if his mother was about to poisoning him with her ideas about the world. Yet he seems to know what family and love mean and fully prepared to do what it takes. I was also sad to read how he still is scarred by his loss of his mother, how he still fears that Mike and Eric might leave him.

    Chapter 9

No hating Rachel, when you obviously use her to make Erik understand that it is his decision and only his that is needed. First Chloe, then her mother. Perfectly structured! And the other question of course is will he go and have that meeting with Buck, and what did he mean by "something to latch onto, a sign that not all wasn't lost, yet"?

    Chapter 4

thank you for this so very beautiful story!

    Rapprochement

I had been so sceptical, but this chapter has convinced me totally. Great moments which shed light on so much, on Eric's past and present, on Andy's abilities...
  20. I wonder what the two last letters will contain. There is so much innocent, loving and longing between the lines.
  21. What a lonely boy! Lovely letters though. So many routes this story can take now. I really want to get a chance to read the rest of Jake's letters. Thank your for your this first chapter.

    Close Encounters

Mhm. Then I cannot imagine Tony to allow him to go in unprepared. But how to do that? Interfering in mother-son relationship might be a tricky business. Let's hope Geoff's mother is none too shrewd.

    Close Encounters

This does not bode well for Geoff's talk with his mother. It all seems to depend on her reaction, as if Geoff would not be able to direct the conversation. Maybe the evening with friends might help him along a bit further.
  24. What a gripping perfect story! So much in it... to me it seems I need no back story. This is complete.

    Foreign Soil

Great compact story. Makes me wonder about so many things...
