This was a nice journey Sasha. it really said something strong about what love is. The two loved each other and made life work no matter how unconventional it was. The ending line was perfect as a sum up. I was really glad that his father did come around in the end too. I would have liked to know what the next book was about...was the little ball of fluff Ruff? I had moments when I thought it would be great if they could find some voodoo magic that would turn them into people form at the same time, but it was well-written and you showed them making it work and having a relationship that fulfilled them despite the backwards situation they were in. Would it have been great to see them as men at some point together. To be able to talk together and whatever else ....yea it woulda, but I loved how they communicated pretty well b/c they knew canine body language and sounds. it was a great story and the fact that the masses never began to light torches and grab pitchforks when it became obvious their lives would stay as is, says something about the success of the story. Thanks!

How could he not be angry that his mother won't stop his father from being abusive. her solution is to send him away. And why does she allow herself to be an abused wife. it is pathetic. She should be protecting him. he is her kid. Yes, you can argue it will allow him to 'be himself' but he could have done that at their home without the asshole of a father. He should be angry at her.

wow... I am glad that Erin is able to have self-insight. It gives me hope that he might be able to accept himself and his feelings for Nate someday. One thing that drives me nuts is his ability to not wonder about the things that are so fantastical, like what Nate is, what his abilities might be, what made him think Erin's parents were from his world, where is his world? Is it on an alternate plane of existence or hidden within our world? How does nate get here? All of these things should be crowding his mind and making him bug nate for answers, yet he is able to act like nate is the new kid in town who is perfectly normal. The fire thing is crazy. Is it someone trying to hurt him or Nate? it's a bit weird that he was so distracted that he mistook crackling of a fire for the sounds of a shower? uh oh! And those irresponsible foster parents have no fire detectors! jeez well, nate is the safest at the moment, under the water and all. Maybe he should go join him in the shower now!

i'm enjoying the story and am intrigued by this chapter. I was glad it was as long as it was. I am really really wanting to meet Luca. some things surprised me. Not that he was able to use magic, as we knew he had lots of abilities. I am even more intrigued now, to see what he is. His interaction with Lou was interesting. I am wondering if vampire's eyes glow red or if that was a direct result of Luca branding him. it seemed to be. That and the ability to communicate with him by telepathy. man, I am dying to know what Luca is. one thing that was surprising was that Lovel would let his new mate go out with his little brother and a wolf that had trouble functioning at home, in the current climate. i'd think an alpha wouldn't let him leave his sight with anyone less than his beta. I have to think that Luca would have a right to question his decision to let them go out like that, as he promised to keep Mika safe. I am unsure, but I thought that this was the second day that Mika was with them. He mentioned kissing the hickey he'd left 'the other night' but I assume you meant to say 'the night before.' I have to say that I hope you begin to have them spend more time together b/c they haven't spent almost any time together. Mika has probably spent more time with Liam and Chance and maybe even the twins, than he has with his mate. You'd think that he'd be putting off all duties but Alpha stuff that a beta couldn't take care of so that he could get to know his mate over more than a meal and a shower. I think we need to see them bond more. I am wondering what was up with the white apt. How were there shadows for Luca to hide in if it was a bright white hall? Why would Mika go to the apt and not try to say hello to Luca? Or is it that he knows Luca doesn't want to meet people? Did he know Luca was there? Well, I hope to get more of the story soon. One other thing I wondered about is how big Marcus' pack must be. If he is the fifth alpha, that means his pack is smaller than Lovel's, right? I think you said Lovel is 4th alpha. So, if Lovel's only has 13 people, then marcus' had to have 12 or less and 3 are missing! That is a small amount of people to make up a pack. It kinda explains some of them going missing. there are almost not enough people to keep together to protect one another. While working that out, I wonder about Mika's new pack. If there were 13 (can't remember if that included Mika), then it is made up of Candelorra, Bella, Liam, lovel, the twins and their mom, chance and the family of three at the table. Then there was the beta who was with lovel the first day... at most there is one person we don't know. it just seems like there isn't a lot of strong males in the pack to protect the young and female members. It is kinda scary and it seems wrong to not have the alpha or at least a beta with them all the time to prevent the risk of a kid-napping. Looking forward to learning more about all of this!

First, Sasha, is there some way you could signal it's a flashback? I think that would make it read smoother at some points. most of the time, it is obvious b/c of the content, like here with him being a child, but it would help at other times. I'm sooo confused by Alex's reaction to Oli's art! First, it was so sad to see that warm interaction because the only thing worse than not having something is having it and then losing it. It must have been so hard and confusing for a small boy to have his father's affection and pride and then have it ripped away. His mom is sweet and loving and supportive, but kids need that from both parents. I am sure as a boy, it is even more important from a dad and for his dad to have alienated him and treated him with such angst/indifference, must have really hurt him as he developed. how long was it before he became a werewolf after this interaction? Was his father good with him until his first change? Clearly, I think the thing that changed was Oli's reaction to being a werewolf and his father's decision that he wasn't enough of a wolf. Perhaps some of it is also his being gay. I would really love to see them come together at some point, but Alexander is such a hard-ass. I don't see him having a warm bone in his body, only in Anastasia's....hahahah. (and yes, it is very gross to me that he screws the poor puppy! and yes, his mother is insane to be okay with that! When she said she can't give him what he needs, is it she can't turn into a wolf? And does she really let him fuck her after fucking the dog? ugg) I have to say, Boris' reaction to seeing that and his casual question as to whether his mom knew Alexander was fucking the dog, will be one of my fav moments in your stories. lol oh to be there for that doozy! I am glad that Oli was able to overcome his intimacy issues with Boris a bit. I can't imagine how hard it is to not have even one chance to be together human to human. The love they clearly have even with their situation being so unconventional and difficult shows how strong a couple they are. I kinda feel like it's a big 'f-you' to dad for his comments that there wouldn't be one person for Oli. Now back to my first sentence, I can't understand why Alexander became to unsupportive of his art when he had so much pride in that first drawing. I wonder if finding out he had kept it would have healed some part of Oli. I hope his father gets to see how he does on this project. He's doing what his father said he couldn't--making money off his drawing. I hope you might be able to have someone do more research into Boris' condition. I assume there won't be a 'cure,' but I wish something could be done. I wonder where you will take this if not that way. It kinda feels like they are at their peak for living with what they have. I look forward to seeing what happens.

at minimum, i'd like to see some time pass and see that things changed in the clan. Maybe even have them meeting with the council so larger changes are made. I'd like to see Yuri become the alpha he can be, feeling strong and confident by his side. We got a taste of it in this chapter...after all he fought, I'd like to see him really healed fully. Helping Carlit and others who were hurt by his father can be its own source of healing for him. i'd alsor like to see their relationship really solidify itself. enjoying the story as always.

wow, it just keeps getting better and more twisted. Are there humans who are cannibalizing other humans? And what is that file about? Did the gov't release this thing? Or was it about what cities would fall with an outbreak of any serious disease epidemic/chemical warfare or whatever? I'm glad we are getting to see the guys interacting and learning a bit about how they have been living. I feel like their personal interactions (not the infected parts of them and how it works) are in too short of supply. We hadn't seen much at all of Mark, as he went off when Tristan was with Dan and of course when he was in the settlement...so it is good to see how he is...but it is sad to see him so broken. But, it isn't surprising after what he's been through. I am really having trouble understanding Mark in terms of his attitude toward Dan. After all they have been through, you'd think there would be some feeling their deeper than friendship/little brother stuff. Having feelings for Dan b/c of all they've been through wouldn't have to make him gay of course. I had hope for them when at the end of their time at the school, Mark seemed to be developing feelings as far as I could tell. Hell, I'm surprised he isn't interested in at least a physical relationship with their infected minds being so driven by instinct/hungers and needs. you'd think sex would fall on the list. Maybe he doesn't want to hurt Dan? they do still care about one another's feelings when lucid. Eh, maybe I'm wrong and it is just my desire to see them have something together. I didn't quite understand what he meant when he tried to appease Dan after his statement. I could see how Dan was hurt and I agreed with how he interpreted the comment made. If he doesn't want Dan b/c he's a guy, I agree that he doesn't need to keep saying he wishes he was a girl. I have to say, I tend to agree with Mark and what he is saying about them not being able to live in the settlement. I want them to of course. I'd love for them to be able to be with their friends, esp dan being with Tristan, but he is right about the severity of the risks. I am not surprised that Mark is angry with them too. He was left behind and no one cared but Dan. But, did they have a choice? Dan was pretty lucky not to be attacked going to find him and they certainly didn't have the ability to do anything from their escape off the highway until they finished the siege at the orphanage. Well, sorry for the long comment. I tend to write down my thoughts on it and nobody really needs to read them lol. I'm enjoying the pace of the story and the content is great too. I can't wait to see who they find. I don't think those people will allow them to just march out with ammo, etc. how did they know a helicopter would be at this base? Was it just a hope? Afterall, that would have been a mode for escape when it got bad. I do have to ask, why has Tristan not been pardoned when the General found out why he'd done it and the settlement was saved by Dan and Tristan. Isn't that enough to get him off death row?

I liked this chapter overall. I felt like the beginning of it was a bit repetitive and slowed the pace of the story too much. I think maybe just re-telling the story about the call from Mika's POV to show the telepathy he shares with Luca would have been enough. You could have just started with the funny fact that Mika, who didn't know what a PS2 was ended up beating Liam and then have the call happen. The rest of the re-told part didn't present any real new info and again, slowed the story down a bit. That said, the rest was excellent. You have me intrigued. It was good to learn a bit about Chance and Mika's backgrounds Both stories are horrible, but I can't imagine what it was like for a 7 y/o to find his mom murdered and then his father be killed trying to save him. Were they rogue wolves? I would have expected Lovel to be jealous that Mika confided his past in Chance before him. I would expect Luca to be a vampire, given the whole night thing. But, you make it sound like he's something else when he mentions some would say he's a wolf but he isn't a shifter. I am curious what vampire he is dealing with. I don't think it is a powerful one, if he is depending on getting to his coven for safety. Doesn't seem to be some tough vampire. But, he knows Luca which is surprising and must mean he's older since Luca withdrew from the paranormal world so long ago. As a side note, the one little part that didn't line up was that Luca said he was going to meet his vampire contact after the phone call with the alphas (though it seems the vampire hadn't gotten his invite to the meeting lol) and it was nighttime according to the same line he said to the vampire as he had to the wolves who killed Mika's parents. But, it was still daylight at approximately the same time when mika and chance got to see the lake. A beta reader can pick up things like that, so it might be good to ask if anyone will do that for you as you write. I am most curious to know what other powers Mika has and how he got them. He seems to be empathic as well as telepathic and I am curious what ability made him able to help Chance when he was having a panic attack. Is it a healing ability? I am looking forward to seeing Lovel and Mika get to know one another. Will Lovel want to mate with him soon with the danger that is lurking around which would make sense if mates can speak to one another telepathically. Or will he let Mika choose when it happens? From Mika's reaction to Lovel's scent, he probably wouldn't have to wait too long for Mika to want to mate with him anyhow Looking forward to more and appreciate the postings being close together.

You really amped it up at the end...it was great throughout, but you finished it with a bang. I loved how you developed his relationship with his parents. the whole 'on the run' thing was great...I loved his mom and her 'I've seen spy movies' thing. I think in those short chapters you developed even the father's character very well. I bought every aspect. The only sad thing was Taki dying. I'd have liked to have seen him make it. I was surprised when it ended up he was the one who killed Mako. It must have been a wonderful thing for him. What a cold bitch. and all for jealousy! the only thing you surprised me with was the ring being in the shape of a snake. He considered that tat to signify his being yakuza. He hated it. I found it odd he'd want his ring fashioned after it, esp with the way he put it in his mom's face when trying to convince her he was not deserving of her love. Overall, excellent story and really great job in the last chapters. It satisfied all the questions, was fast paced presented new characters that you developed well and who helped finish the change in Toshiro from the boy/man raised by those horrible people, to the man who would be husband and child and friend now. Bravo!

continuing to rock this story. Why didn't Grace send some of the RI for someone to stab him once he got into the hive mind. I guess he had to choose to do it so quickly, but still. I hope Mark is okay! I can't wait to see what you have in store...I loved how the family greeted him and that they still want to help. I wish that you had told the story as to how Tristan was caught. It was sweet that Adam remembered him. I can't wait to see SIster Latoya and find out what her story is and how she knows how to fly. I hope you have him get Mark first. I felt like Daniel should have been a bit more upset at what happened to Peter. I mean, they bonded a bit and he's part of their family. he caused him pain and probably permanent scarring that won't be fixable in this situation. I wonder how they think they can take the ammo even if they successfully get there, if others are there. They won't just hand it over. I think I will have to re-read the chapter b/c it got a bit confusing once the barrier was breached. Wasn't he told to take out the ones bitten? He felt guilty but he'd been asked to do it. Keep it coming!

The chapter repeats 3x...aside from that error, it is just frustrating that it was a dream. I am wondering specifically what it was that the paw print symbols mean and why, if it signifies he's not fully human, that didn't he tell him about his being a bear?

I am very intrigued after this chapter. You presented this rag tag seeming pack with people with different backgrounds which I hope we get to know more about. The pack life is so important to wolves, that I think it is really important to develop characters in the pack. I'm wanting to know what Mika did for Chance? Do wolves have other powers in your world? or was he taught something by Luca? And what about his seeming to be able to speak with Luca with telepathy of some form? Luca is an entertaining wild card in this. I hope you have us learn more about him with time. Mika has been raised with real knowledge about the outside world. He must know what type of supernatural Luca is. will he share that knowledge with his mate? And clearly this man has some crazy powers. It seems a bit fantastical that he could know who is in a room without introduction and know so much about what they are doing in said room. I hope in the craziness of these terrible kidnappings, that Mika and his mate have time to get to know one another. Did you say how old lovel is? Also, If they have such a small pack, I am wondering who is watching over them when half of the pack is made of kids or traumatized adults. It seems dangerous to leave them alone without their alpha and his beta. I think you left a door open with the other alphas, that could allow you to do their stories later. have you thought about that?

I hope yuri will get better and believe in himself again. I think he can be more than a good alpha-mate. are both mates considered alphas in the clans? I believe natham is considered an Alpha right? I think yuri has more of the makings of an alpha than Benny. I hope he can use that and help Benny run/better the clans. Wow! Sheshtun was some piece of work. If they had this breeding program, where are all the younglings? It didn't sound like there were any number of them in the meeting Benny called. I feel so badly for Carlit. I hope he can be helped by Yuri or Benny. Benny should be up on these happenings in he clans. Does he know about these prior events?

seems like Jay is the only one who didn't see they both loved one another. will Louis and cade get together in this story or have their own? they are mates, right?

ot sure when this chapter hit. I was wondering if you might write a story for Derek? The guy is so dislikable. it would be a great challenge to write a story about his finding someone who might help him become a better person. glad to see a strong Noah and see the couple doing well. the one thing I thought might happen was have them get a bit into the lifestyle given his job at the buckle. Nothing crazy, but maybe just some light stuff.

Aww... sweet. So can he not raise his shields ever again with Craig? Is the link formed when he lowered his shields/grabbed onto Craig's mind and joined them similar to the links between witch/vamp or vamp/vamp mates? How much did craig realize the night he comforted him before they left for Cazpedroso? He seemed to have an idea before the left Jay's home. Glad they got things cleared up now! I hope we can see their bond grow. I think Jay has spent so long being alone and so hard fighting what he felt for Craig, as well as whatever else he struggled with, that he might be in danger. I think he's been breaking down slowly and this is to be the ultimate trial of his career and is the hardest job he's done. there is so much at risk, especially the well-being of the innocents this man could hurt. Jay being worn down will be too big a liability. I just pray Craig's love/support and maybe help he can offer might make up for it all. I hope you can help us understand more about how their abilities/bonds, etc., are different from those of the supernaturals. Looking forward to more!

I loved it. brilliant. I loved the end best...without worrying which sauce I taste best with. lmao so interesting. I can't wait to see what more there is. I want to know more about the infected. I wanna know more about what Mark and Dan are of course. can a war be won against such dangerous creatures who are now organized, etc? Mark and Dan are a force to be reckoned with, but they aren't invincible. The super-blackies are really smart and scary. was one controlling all those infected? did they know the boys were distracted with Tristan? is that why they attacked then? do the super-blackies know the two of them aren't truly infected? I still don't know what caused them to be different...aside from guesses. And what makes you a 'super blackie?' I wonder if Tristan can do more than give them downers? could he learn more from the 'fringe' theories? Are Dan and Mark eating healthy humans? that would be super sick. Like Trist, I may not wanna know lol. I thought it interesting when Tristan understood his statement about wanting him to eat most. Getting that the emotional feelings all turned into that hunger Dan spoke of. I hope we get Dan's perspective in more than his Walkman messages. We won't get much that way b/c of the diff. speaking. Can they give info to Grace only....could what they do and how they help and things they explain lead to something. grace would never ask for the boys to be guinea pigs. She's nothing if not fiercely protective. What the boys did was amazing, the tactical part and the use of the infected to help the soldiers. Really cool. Is Mark in the same shape as Dan? They look the same, but Mark did get it differently lol. I believe Grey and Pete would help the boys if he knew they were alive. What is tough is that their supply of drugs, etc. won't hold out forever, even with Tristan's help. At least not with the amount they must take to stay clear-headed. if they 'miss a dose' lol ...will they just be lost to the crowd like the others?? ahhh I wish we knew more. I hope Tristan can remember or figure out what Dan did back when he said bye to Grey at the orphanage. I hope he can get that they are family...at least it seems they all still are despite the different tiers they live in etc. I can't imagine they'd lose that. They certainly know that the unknown is still out there. They've seen grey's wife. Grey would have known that Dan being found was the ONLY thing that would bring a smile to Tristan's face. If he'd not fought a several day siege then he'd have realized it and still may. I really want to know what Mark and Dan are to one another. It seems that it will always be friends and no more, though there were times I thought Mark would admit feeling more. Does dan still love him the way he did? It seems love is gone and feeds that 'hunger' though Mark isn't 'his food' lol. So can they be more than friends. This story is so tragic on lots of levels and if I think about it too much it makes me pretty sad. I can't imagine how Tristan has felt all this time. now he finds his brother, only to see he's sick. he can't be an uncle to Adam. he can't be there with him. I don't know how I could deal with it after losing my parents. How did dan know it was him on the mountain side? Was he worried enough to watch for Tristan? And does Dan regret risking becoming an infected out of an unrequited love or does he love Mark enough to give up his brother. does he have any regrets? does he feel badly that he left his brother alone? All things I'd like to know and I am surprised that Trist didn't ask how it happened. He never said "Why did you go after Mark alone?" will he ask? Just things I want to know....lol sorry for the ton of questions...maybe it will help you add stuff to the story.

ahhh...crazy ....im still a bit confused about the whole parasite/virus thing and how it applies to the boys...specifically Mark. obviously the reproductive thing is what happened with Daniel so he could be getting better. But, I don't see how Mark would have the same situation...it sounds like, according to Grace, that he had open wounds that the parasite got into...he wasn't bitten. But, he'd not have the same chance of lessening the parasite through orgasms ....which is a quite funny idea you came up with! maybe they spend all day getting each other off lol in the absence of alcohol or some other tranquilizer, they used it to 'forget' or 'take away the pain for a moment' and found it working! if they are (or at least Daniel is) one of these ghosts, he could be the leader that the infected have developed. Clearly he has some power b/c he got the infected away from his brother. There was all that stuff about them changing and developing and their immune systems being gone...it is confusing. ok, I will stop reflecting on it and wait for the next one....please hurry. I'm going crazy wanting to know what happens next!!! Does he still find the idea of eating his brother good? This is getting really good!!!

I would love it if Buddy could intimidate Oli's dad, even if only in his human form. That man is an ass! I was glad Buddy established dominance over Anastasia, if only to get back at them for the way they treated Oli while wolves. interesting back story, though it really doesn't give them much. It might be enough for boris to know there was another wolf like him. I wonder if it could have been a relative of Boris who Oli's Gram knew? boris is a Russian name afterall. I'm happy that they are finding ways to enjoy each other and that they love each other despite their forms...the 'kiss' was really sweet. I just can't help but be sad for them if they never are able to be human at the same time. It is a hard relationship to not be able to talk both at the same time etc. I really wish there were some solution. I am curious as to where you will go with this.

oh man....stopped right where it was good!!! Is it me or does Casey possibly know about his mate? And I have to look back at whether cade is a vamp.....if he is, he found his mate huh!! I find you keep moving the story passed all the potential yummy and emotional and fun moments...when will you let us see some of the connections, psychic and other, work themselves out? Can't wait. And don't you dare start next week with them waking up...I wanna see what happens when they end up in the same bed. I think Craig is more wiley than we give him credit for!

I am wondering if what broke in Carlit could have broken inside Yuri. he hasn't come to yet so we can know his reaction, especially to his mate. What 'broke' in this other tiger? Did he only let them bond so he could try out the shots? He clearly detested males mated to one another, so did he torture them for what/who they were? I hope Carlit and Peten can be helped. I wonder what Peten means by 'I was" --past tense? Does he just mean till Yuri left or did something happen between them? More answers hopefully next time?

I am unsure what to think of this chapter. You shocked me by having them begin turning. I can only hope it is a delusion brought on by the fever, but it seems pretty real. I think Dan should have had the balls to tell Mark how he felt. What did he have to lose? I can't believe Dan took the way out he did, choosing to follow Mark into the abyss in the way he did. It is sad . Hope it's not the end. The thing about their eyes being different is interesting. The way you described the hive mentality for the infected was really interesting. I think people are getting the stakes and torches ready to come after you lol you better find some way to work the ending into a happier one. I really feel badl

I so hope they have time to get Yuri together and talk...concentrate on each other. I know Benny has taken over, but is that in his best interest and that of Yuri? How can he expect to get Yuri better and take care of him...not to mention bond with him, if he is embarking on this huge job of becoming an alpha (he'll have to learn how to be one first) and healing the clan after so many years of pain and torture and also with the distant goal of making long-needed changes amongst the tigers? It seems impossible and his mate should come first! I'm not happy with his choice. How many times will he have to leave yuri with Ellis? If he spent time healing his mate and bonding, then he'd be able to rule with Yuri by his side. I have a bad feeling about all of this. I am dying for them to have a deep conversation about them as mates. I want to see them bond and get to know each other again. I feel like they haven't done that since they got back together. Bonding has been over how good bacon cheeseburgers are lol. But, really, I hope it doesn't destroy Yuri or their chances of a successful, loving and deep connection between them like Benny wants. His entrance can't have made the lions feel soft and fuzzy and happy they have a nice alpha now. He came across as scary as Sheshton and not much saner so far. lol. I don't think benny can be a good alpha alone. I think he and Yuri will compliment one another and they need to do a lot of work before they will be there. It was very sad to see him realize the bond Dav and Ellis have and wish for it. I don't see how it can happen now with this stressful, demanding and completely new job. At least Yuri knows what an alpha must do, albeit the example set was not a good one.

the only thing that would have made this chapter better would have been if casey was there when Jackson was made to kneel and pray. he'd have laughed his ass off and there would have been fireworks lol. I am so tired of J's wimpy behavior! they will never make it if he can't man up and is so intimidated by his reactions! Jeez. Can you tell i'm anxious for those two to get it together? The description of all that guy is capable of is really scary! How does he know he is stronger than him? Can't wait for next Monday!

lol....i'd tell you that you are the devil incarnate for that cliffhanger, but it seems everyone else is doing that for me. lol. I am unclear what they did different from the others. Where did they jump to? Was there a river nearby? I'm a bit lost. All the info about where they were going and what the state of the world is seemed crazy and it can't be taken as totally dependable. AFterall, rumors would be the mainstay for those left. I feel so badly for Felicia, but then, maybe a delicate girl wouldn't have made it in this world. I think she has snapped. Mainly, I think she decided not to be a victim anymore. But, why did no one notice she wasn't in the truck? Also, were they in the back of a pick-up on top of all their supplies? Well, I can't wait to see where it goes and yes, I Will throw in a threat to about hunting you down if you kill Mark! lol
