These Translator stories were beautifully done. I am partial to dragons and also have always wanted to know more about the ways of the Indian nations and their beliefs and ways of seeing the world. I find your stories to be so interesting in that they bring knowledge from so many belief systems and times and such and weave them into the stories. I loved the bonds that were made in this story. I couldn't see how you'd help Phillip solve the conflict he felt and it was done well. Zosa would be able to have those new dragons in a time they were needed. I have read some of your other stories. But I do have some questions...was Phillips journal one of the books left behind? They were so important to him as a translator. Moreso, was the book from the shaman amongst them? that would give a lot of secrets out if found someday. As they said, they weren't the first to find that cave. I am wondering if you tell the stories of any of these boys finding one another in future lifetimes in any of the other stories. I kinda wished we got a small epilogue of the boys in Argon's time. Would they all be in harmony with it? Would Phillip be healthy just b/c he held up his promise to Argon. one other question is how do human age on World? I'd assume they didn't age the same when decades went by. Did they age as slowly as elves or at least much more slowly than humans do in our world? Is there a specific way you refer to 'our world'? This story was really great. I look forward to reading more of your work. I might try to go in the order you recommend...I think I saw a list. I had only gone by what interested me so far. Thanks.

I was so happy to see this chapter. though when I saw the final chapter label I was surprised. I couldn't imagine how you could wrap it up so quickly. I am glad that at least you will continue the story. I love these two characters. I love how they are the same and different and compliment one another. Of course my hope was that you'd have drake be alive. that'd be a shitty ending to have it say 'alec got there and found a wolf gnawing on his bones.' lol But with the story being done suddenly I did worry for a few moments. Sadly, the Guardians will be on them eventually when Michael realizes Alec didn't get sent by the council. he will say he saw him. Things I hope the new story will bring us will be more info on how the winterblade was created and why. I hope we learn why these two groups seem to exist to beat one another. Did they ever get along? What does either side hope for other than to eradicate their enemy? Is there any other good to be done? Are there people to protect or are both sides only warriors? Of course we hope to see Drake and Alec survive and be happy, but they can't really believe that if the winterblade let them find the map, that their only goal can be to be together. There must be some greater goal. Are the Hunters really defeated? Who are these attacks being led by? Is there more to the legend of the Winterblade that will tell more about what the Winterblade is and what the wielders should do? If they had to face Guardians and Drake had to fight and kill them, would Alec resent that? I look forward to the continuation. You did a really nice job bringing these two together as a couple and team.

I think some of the parts have been frustrating to me b/c it's not making sense, though it is a make believe world they got to by a spell lol it has just been frustrating to see them get shot with arrows and then land in swampy water suddenly be fine with no concern for infection. And they are able to hike all day too. Then he gets bit by a snake and is fine. he drinks from a cactus which is not recommended, and is fine. it just seems like these two are sailing along and with no experience, walking through a desert and not having any problems after all these events. I think they should at least raise a concern as these things happen. not just say, 'hey lets go and get back on the road covered with sand storms during the night.' Keep writing. Just something to consider.

I'm so happy to see Nathan gaining such self-insight and in a way, finally be able to stand on his own two feet. I think he's always stood in his dad's boots and just said the party lines. I don't think he really thought for himself in a way. He also didn't think about the outcome of his behaviors. He did what he wanted and the hell with what was left behind. It's also nice to see him gaining an intimacy with Taylor. Taylor is a super-sweet guy. I was surprised he was calling him his friend though. I thought he got it was more than f-buddies and they are past friendship too. I think he needs to recognize that. I can't see him stopping drink so I don't know if I'd have put him in an AA meeting. With the keg parties round the fire and such, I don't see him sticking to Cokes, though if he doesn't get rip-roaring drunk, that would be a help. I'm excited for him to apologize to clem. it's a long time coming and I think it will help Clem too. but he better look out! LOL Ashlee is not gonna pull out lemonade and cookies and invite him to dinner. Ashlee might take a piece of his hide before he leaves their ranch. lol

I only was confused when I thought Clay was cheatin on ashlee with a big boobed red-head. J/K lol cute story.

Chapter 2: The Walk of Shame
Cannd commented on Amikawrite's story chapter in Chapter 2: The Walk of Shame
Nice. this first day of work should be quite interesting. lol. poor kid...as his boss, he could now make it quite uncomfortable for him after he took off like that. but then it might not work toward his end of getting him where he wants him again. quite the interesting duo you have here. I feel badly for the kid that is so afraid of his sexuality, despite having accepted who he is, that he seems willing to live alone. I can't get a read on Xavier though. It seems he isn't used to sleeping with guys or hasn't before? but he seems quite okay with it. I'm excited to see where these two end up. can't wait for the next chapter -
why didn't luca say something? that stupid girl. didn't she realize it would be a genetic allergy? alex would probably kill him instantly. I can't imagine him asking questions. Luca is also at risk. why didn't he say something so it didn't happen and he wasn't accused? ugg please don't make us wait long for the update! great chapter ...mean cliffhanger! I find it funny that she just put alex in power most likely. lol stupid jezebel. unless the mom would be in charge now?

I REALLY love this story. It's sweet and well-written. I love James and his mom and feel so badly for Casey. It's amazing he's grown into a good kid despite what he was up against. The kid should be way more screwed up. That was so amazing to see what James did for him. I hope the boys can hang out still. I kinda hope Casey can stay with the couple for the near future. He deserves somewhere safe and soft to fall on. The conversation with his sister (wow are they pieces of work) sounds like his mom who should get a narcissistic/selfish mom of the year award, made a suicide attempt? That was what it seemed to me. That poor kid. Hopefully, things will turn around for him. Mr. weaver is a good man who does care and said some good things to him that I hope he remembers. I am wondering if Jamie's grandfather is a judge or someone making a decision about Casey or was he just paying the fine for him? Well I can't wait for more of this. Great job.

Well this is really a cool story so far.. The wolf sounds beautiful! I love the cocky attitude that slips out a bit here and there too. that sarcastic teen in most of us that he probably didn't have the luxury of being in a long time. I wonder how old he is? I love the description of Aki by the wolf. it is such a cool description and would look pretty wild. and it's pretty amazing he can see him. Now I wonder if Aki is a werewolf or some other being. Can he do spirit walks as a shifter ability or is he something else. I'm interested in this world they live in. Why is it necessary for kids to find sactuary somewhere? Is it only if they have trouble and the supers have to go to these rectory offices vs. a church? very strange how he found the right place to turn to without being told where to go. this one has captured my imagination. Hmm wondering what we'll learn about Aki and the house down in the inner circle of hell with our other demon friends. he was always considered different or a bit feared if I remember correctly? maybe I'm wrong. it's been a while since I read the other stories. look forward to more.

That was quite good. I can't believe they pulled off such a fight against one another. It must have killed Alec to leave him there, but I think he knows there is a chance he could survive. the only question is, how will he heal in the cold etc. They've shown they're not impervious to that. he is really injured. Will alec be able to get back to him? That was brilliant lying he did! and quick thinking. He may have just pulled off a way to save Drake. I hope so! I love the implant idea. I have a dorsal column stimulator. it sends shocks of electrical stim up my nerves from the spine to cover pain in my back and legs. I wonder if it could be adapted....hmmm when people piss you off....ZAP! lol it was a good 'ability.' love these two characters. can't wait for more. still want to know more about this winterblade. you gave a very brief statement about it. I hope it isn't too long before they are re-united. What will Drake do if he survives. Where can he go? great story

Chapter 1: A Blissful Night
Cannd commented on Amikawrite's story chapter in Chapter 1: A Blissful Night
aside from two smart guys having unprotected sex, they are delicious together and I want some More! too -
Really good chapter. I'm so happy that Tony was able to open up to Sammy. Sammy is clearly a special kid. Though now we have one guy and two others who like him! Poor Tony at least seems to have a caring mom. I can only hope she is able to accept what her other son is. I hope that Sammy can be strong enough to support him b/c the kid will be really vulnerable now. hope that prick evan is arrested!

I'm worried about dan. He was raped. Was it the boy who said he owed him a handjob? or was it marco? I think it was the other kid. As jerky as marco is, he wants Andrew. I'm glad Everett is getting better. that is amazing. it was so long ago, I forget how he became disabled. I hope these two can weather all the jerks around them. I really hope Dan does okay. Depression and then rape can't go well.

I didn't stop reading to comment all the way through. I love the story. I haven't even missed the fact that in 16 chapters, no love interest was introduced, but his next day should be interesting. I have loved the whole premise and the 'characters' you have. I love the sword and Opie is great too. I'm glad Jonas has had such support during such a hard time. His mother must be flipping over in her grave. What a POS his father is. I am sure there are parents like him out there too. The only thing that got me was him leaving all his stuff behind. I know he was scared, but he should have called the police to help him take it out. He also should have just watched the garbage b/c the father was sure to just put it all out there. I am hoping things improve quite a bit for him soon and I am really curious as to what kind of boyfriend you will cook up for him! Hope for an update soon! Look forward to checking out your other work.

Wow, it seems the cork came out of the bottle finally! he's been hating himself so much for his actions I think and he just kept making it worse by acting more like the intolerant ass of a father that he can't stand. I think Nate is meant to run that farm, but being there is destroying him. I wonder if he can continue to be under his father's thumb and turn into the person he wants to be and who Taylor sees. I am surprised he wasn't angry at Taylor for telling his secret like that and talking about him where he could hear it. I think in that he'd have been justified. I had to smile when I saw you put 'bloody' into Taylor's words. I wonder if he will ride English. haha... but great chapter. I can't wait to see if Nate can reconnect with his friends. I think Jimmy was a bit cold, but I think everyone has had enough of the Nate that he's become.

Chapter 12 - Someday I'll be Saturday Night
Cannd commented on kuragari129's story chapter in Chapter 12 - Someday I'll be Saturday Night
I am really enjoying this story. I hadn't seen it before this. I think you do a great job of bringing out the experience of being adopted. I am not, but I would think you hit a lot of the issues you'd face or feelings you'd have on the head. I think it also shows what good people can do in adopting. I love the characters you've created and you do an awesome job of developing them. They really are a great cast. You can't help but love them all. the only one that could have been developed a bit better would be Owen. But only in one aspect. I'd have liked to see you explain the effects of his father's behavior on his life day to day. How did it contribute to his being left behind in school, what was he exposed to, such as less than savory people coming to his house at odd hours maybe, the effects of getting high on him...things like that. It's just something I'd have loved to see you go a bit further into b/c you do a great job of bringing the experience to life and making people think. You do a great job of showing the teenage angst, though so far, these kids haven't put up with any bullying that we know of. But, they are dealing with their sexuality and their home lives. I can't believe those birth parents showing up when they did, mainly b/c they could have presented themselves any time in the past. I think it is sweet that they cared about him enough to check up and I really want to hear their side. I think they were afraid though, when he didn't have a family, that he'd expect them to take him back. I think they'd hoped he'd be settled in now and it wouldn't put them in that position. They could get to know him and not feel bad that they weren't going to take him in. It seems like a selfish move. I would like to hear what they were thinking. Again, great story you have going here. I am interested to see what happens with the relationships brewing. I am interested to see whether you will deal with the feelings that Talon and Wyatt have for one another which aren't as brotherly. It wouldn't be odd given they say siblings sometimes experiment when they are blood related. I am not sure if it is true but I have heard that. Anyway, keep posting! -
cool.....I thought he was sent there with another purpose from the beginning but I didn't think he was prince of tomacia...why would they send their prince? he is their future isn't he? doesn't the fact he was honest with alex tell him he is in love with him? he could die for this at alex's hand. he's in enemy walls admitting this. can't wait to see where you go with this. what would aligning himself do for them even if he's given one of the bordering regions as one of the 13. The only good I see is he is definitely on par with Alex and a 'good match' under the right circumstances. there is no way his father would see any reason to let him live. what will poor alex do? I think he'll go back in and tell Carlin he doesn't care and that he loves him. can't wait to see!! And go Luca...many lesser men have probably fallen under the pressure of talking to the General. He did a great job. That kid has a lot of balls. I hope he can heal enough to trust someone someday.

I like this mike a lot. I just hope the boys are careful. Jeez...they live in a tough place. I guess it can happen anywhere, but someone better figure out where that shit of a brother Evan and his buddy, Tommy, are if they want to know what happened to poor Tony. Why didn't coach say how serious it was? The one thing I would say is that at times you give so much detail, like about the game on TV. I would count that as extraneous info that slows down and really doesn't belong in the story. info like you gave when Sammy was up at bat was fine, since it showed his innate ability to evaluate the game. Just something to keep an eye on. look forward to more

Well, one thing that kid hit a home run in was the father he got. What a great guy. too bad he's hung up on his dead wife b/c he seems like a good man. More kids deserve parents that supportive and loving. that said, you started a great story. Though I think that bigot Evan and good ole Tommy (the one he showed up) will continue to give problems. I'm curious as to who Mke is. Is he a new student? He sounds great b/c he was strong and brave enough to tackle the kid off and then to comfort him. The spirituality of many American Indians really intrigues me. If you are able to bring that into the story it will be great. It seems like this kid 'knows' rather than just hopes, that this Mike will play a role in his life. I am really excited to see where you go with this.

I can't wait until someone destroys her in a violent way and little Luca is the perfect person to do it!!!

this was a sweet story. I think it worked fine as a one off and for once it didn't leave me feeling like there were huge things hanging out to finish like many prompt pieces often due b/c of the word count limits. I thought this was a nice piece. I leave it to you to see if the characters really have more of a story to be told!
-
I missed this one. Very good. I didn't know thane had a kid! That's cool.

You have a good outline, but I think it would be good for you to get an editor and beta reader. A beta reader first to tell you where you could clear something up or add more to or where something doesn't make sense. Some such comments might be how these two boys get magically taken to another world. They just start working with the towns people without getting together and saying 'what the hell just happened?' Most people would be wildly thrown off by this and scared. It seemed odd that they just started working right away with the people without a discussion like 'we have to survive here and find a place to sleep tonight so lets try to find some work so we can pay for it.' just something to justify them acting like locals and re-building homes within hours of getting sucked into a cauldron. They didn't seem to have a conversation about trying to get back to their world. I'd at least have had them collect the herbs and try to make the potion and have it fail or something. They seemed to accept it and work which is fine. but, have them agree to it. Never once did they say "I wonder what our families are doing? They must think we just took off." What had them in such a hurry to leave? shouldn't they have tried to collect information about the other places they wanted to go. Obviously, they were in a world with a lot of unrest. It would make sense to ask about the other places as they talk to people and not just pick names off a map and head toward them. They don't have weapons or know the risks of traveling without them. They were in a big group last time. two boys are easier to attack. Why would their leaving be such a big deal? they are two young kids. But, now they were shot at and he has an arrow in his stomach. That is a big deal. They have no anti-biotics and were in some pond which is very unclean. how do they get this out and know they won't puncture something. i'd be ready to say they put herbs on it which the other kid knew would clean the wound or keep it from getting infected in the next chapter. You just have to pick up these little things that the reader might say 'this doesn't make sense. wouldn't this happen? shouldn't they have done ___? So a beta reader would help. I'm not ripping you apart...just trying to help as you go forward. The editor you choose can get the spelling and grammar mistakes. I liked the changes in perspective which gave you more info on things from the two viewpoints. Good to get both their thoughts on such crazy events. Keep writing! You have a good start here! I think you sped up a lot at the end. Why were they in such a hurry to leave and if you wanted to go to another

glad you continued the story, but I can't understand what having a key has to do with Hiroki leaving him . I hope he isn't that controlling or it will mean bad things later on. I'm curious...how do you say Aikhiko's name. can you spell it out phonetically?
-
Well, that was sad about David. And Nate is so impaired. he's been hanging out with Taylor for 4 mos at this point...I wonder how many actual conversations they've had? gosh, nate knows what he wants and yet this tape plays in his head and exits his mouth and he just doesn't know how to stop it. I can see with an ass of a father like that where it came from, but he has to push stop and see if he has any different thoughts at some point. hope he comes up with a real apology not just put together to get back into taylor's bed. can he actually have a conversation with taylor that might help him deal with some of his shit? I don't know how you'll bring this guy around. If only he could treat another man with the respect he treats the horses with! I love Caymen...don't ever decide to have something happen to the horse to drive nate to his knees okay! please!
