I like this information. In the future I'll keep it in mind. I've always followed the common thought of burying a body deep enough, no one—animal or otherwise—can potentially unearth the body. Good factoids.

Hopefully shifting to a wolf seals the worst damage. Jimmy seemed to feel awfully guilty in his duty. He might be punishing himself.

I'm looking forward to writing it. My goal is to push a chapter a week. I'm maintaining a solid outline to keep it all together.

We'll learn more about Jimmy and what he's doing soon. I think of shifting as putting the body in the intended shape as opposed to some kind of healing factor. I imagine some damage won't be repaired depending on circumstances, such as the unnamed man's bullet wounds.

It's no secret Jimmy's a wolf (given the title and all) but we'll learn more about his history and role as we go along. For now, we have other cast members to introduce. See you next Wednesday

Compressed earth crunched under Sawyer Thomas’s shoes as he ran down the path. The rhythm of his footfalls harmonized with his pulse and breathing pattern, creating the closest thing to nirvana he knew. The harder he pushed, the more serene he became. The dread welling in his chest tried to claw its way into his throat. The faint whisper of hope he’d clung to had disintegrated into rotting bits of discarded cloth. Thanks for giving it a fair shake. I hope I can keep your interest. The chapter sizes may be a bit bigger in the future weeks while I can, so there will likely be a mix of chapter sizes, minimum 1k per week. This way I can work on more than one project at a time.

Arad Ansari is a homeless street slug in the Grey District A-5 colony. Work is hard to come by and he has to compete with the animal/human hybrids called DemiShou, forcing him to make his way in less than savory methods. Getting off-planet sounds like a godsend, but fate has a way of complicating the best opportunities of a man with little luck.
