  1. Oh my god! Thank you @Puppilull for such an amazing review! The last few days have been utter garbage and this really makes up for a lot. Crap! I'm getting a little misty...
  2. Thank you! Little Man was my first MM story and looking back I can see the issues in the writing, but I'm still happy with this one. Hindsight is magical gift.
  3. Cia helped me as beta/editor when I started posting, but her schedule didn't allow her to help me for more than the first chapters. Thankfully, MJ85 was available and helped me clean up the rest.
  4. My friends and I were obsessed with Monty Python back in the day, so therefore LM and friends are too. LOL
  5. The fleshy doorstop has arrived! Congratulations!!! 😍😍😍😍😍
  6. I love knowing what comes next! (I miss the dancing smiley emote - it was far more taunting lol)
  7. When I first started posting, I barely understood how the GA community functioned and it took me a while to realize I should respond in some way to most reviews. On older stories when I get a random comment out of the blue—especially when I'm not actively posting—I sometimes miss them. Thanks for enjoying LM. It has it's issues for being a first story, but it means a lot to me.
  8. I came up with Filo out of the blue as a variation of Milo and Luz's name came out of a Spanish name generator I found online. Who knew I'd found names that fit my characters' roles so well?
  9. I know! I wish I could take the credit. The lovely artists at Dreamspinner cooked this up for all the authors involved in the advent calendar. I'm so thrilled to be part of it.
  10. Want to know what I've been up to recently? My first offering with Dreamspinner Press under my new publishing pen name J. Alan Veerkamp is now available! Welcome to my sci-fi holiday short story, Salvaging Claus Day, part of the Dreamspinner Press 2017 Stocking Stuffer Holiday Anthology! Blurb: For three years, Filo has reveled in silence and solitude as the sole occupant of a space station, where he maintains the communication satellite. Everything changes with the appearance of Luz Espina’s lifepod. Filo shares many interests with the flirtatious Luz, though Filo’s isolation has strained his communication skills. Still, Luz pushes all his buttons… and reminds him of the last man he was attracted to—an attraction that ended in disaster because the man was straight. When Luz learns Filo has never celebrated a holiday, he vows to cobble together a Claus Day celebration for them to share. But is it merely a friendly gesture… or something more? This story is sold exclusively on my J. Alan Veerkamp author page via Dreamspinner Press. Click this link and get your copy at Dreamspinner Press here!
  11. It was my pleasure
  12. Congratulations, Parker! A well deserved promotion!
  13. Great choice! Renee deserves the attention!
  14. I love these features, especially when I'm in them. Not to nitpick, but the cover I designed was for Renee Stevens rather than Cia, although I'd be happy to make something up for her in the future if she needed.
  15. Yay! My sci-fi series including: The Luxorian Fugitive, A Cook's Tale, and Priest & Pariahs is getting a new home with NineStar Press! Details to come soon...
  16. While my priority is taking care of the promoted authors, I may have time in the schedule. PM me with what you might have in mind and I'll see what I can do.
  17. I just found this part of the post! You're very welcome! I love making the banners and yours turned out SO well. I'm glad you like it.
  18. I'll jump in on this. It'll give me a chance to read someone's work I haven't seen before.
  19. Butters
  20. Sweet! There's a trash can now. Thanks, Myr!
  21. I've found the link under the menu for "My Attachments", and on the page they're listed, but I don't see a control for deleting them once I'm done. My 512k will get absorbed fast if I'm not careful. Anyone know what I'm missing?
  22. It's true: modern safes are too sophisticated and don't give off any useful sounds to crack a safe. But the flaw in your logic is two-fold: 1. Considering the technology is all clockwork and steam (i.e., steampunk era) the safe wouldn't be analogous to current manufacturing specifications. At best, this would be equivalent to an antique safe. 2. We are not in real life. Victoria and Francine are not actual countries on this world, just like arranged marriages between men didn't exist during the relative era. Not everything is an exact duplicate. So thank you for bringing this up publicly. Usually you PM me when you find flaws in my story.
