Why is no one talking about the inner voice and the warmth in Elijah’s chest? KAGE! I’m ready for the guys to get to Montana already. I assume they’ll keep the laptop instead of handing it off to the fae. As someone mentioned earlier, I was surprised Trevor only warned the guys instead of killing them. I have to think it’s because the fae wants to know why the assassination attempt failed and how Kage died. Pretty sure he can bring Kage back. May not be right away, tho.

The Power Of Long Letters
Geemeedee commented on Laura S. Fox's story chapter in The Power Of Long Letters
Yup, all of this. Jonathan could file a police report. In some states there are revenge porn laws. Hell, all Jonathan really has to do is tell his dad — no way would he allow the family name to be even more sullied. It’s the chick in the hoodie (Drew’s sister? His ex?) and those weird chicks who look like triplets. Such people should really focus on their own shit and stop trying to tear others down. It’s pathetic.- 68 comments

Wasn’t even thinking in this direction. Makes perfect sense. Hmmmm. I read it as use all the weapons you have at your disposal, because you’ll need them. I think Elijah should tell the Sentinels what’s going on, in case he needs rescuing later.

Chapter 24: Ardent Arrest
Geemeedee commented on astone2292's story chapter in Chapter 24: Ardent Arrest
Yes, THIS! But maybe the guys weren’t clumsy, Wagner was just that good? It’s the only thing to explain why he was given the job of head enforcer — he has to be ready. -
“He’d stood in his own way more than Mae ever had. She’d been absent from his entire adult life. When was she going to stop being his go-to excuse? His crutch?” I felt that in my BONES.

Dude, I’m barely functional on a laptop. But shifter characters can be a fascinating blend of modern living and dated beliefs. It seemed to me that if a person (or 100+ year-old lion shifter) was old school, they wouldn’t want such horrible and incriminating info floating in the cloud where a hacker could possibly find it. Completely destroy the laptop and all evidence is gone for good. Also, a key or keycard could be attached to the laptop. *shrugs*

Ok. And I apologize if this was mentioned in earlier comments. My theory goes to shit if this isn’t true, but these aren’t Elijah’s birth parents. I could swear it was mentioned earlier that E is the rare shifter born to non-shifter parents. And if he isn’t their child by birth, the couple either used shady means to get him, like illegal adoption, or they maybe made a deal deal with Kasar to raise him as theirs … with Kasar calling in a debt much much later, such as hiding a laptop. Either way, the threat of E being hurt and/or being told the truth about his parentage was enough to make them cooperate. I also think they loved Tyler as their own possibly because they know about his destiny as well (in addition to him being their kid’s best friend). And BTW, I don’t think the laptop is in that car. If it was, Kbois has surely moved it by now. 😉

Great chapter! I think I know why Elijah’s parents agreed to hide the laptop. Is it cool to guess about that here?

Chapter 21: Conspiring Chairman
Geemeedee commented on astone2292's story chapter in Chapter 21: Conspiring Chairman
I like the way you moved us along, @astone2292! I also like your taste in men. Yum. Don’t stop sharing. If Sheila Weidman IS a vampire working for Tilliman, I’m shocked at how dense vampires think shapeshifters are. The two humans following Wagner were embarrassingly incompetent. But I like your take on vampires in this story, with their focus on rules and oaths. Looking forward to the Cyrus’ conversation with Bryce. -
I put off reading this chapter for a few hours, because I didn’t want the story to end! I enjoyed it so so much. It was entertaining and educational. I loved the ease at which Terry and Dan got together, and how seamlessly Dan fit into Terry’s family. (I know Terry’s folks will like him.) I only wish we could’ve been as bemused along with Dan upon meeting the clan at Christmas! I hope you do! And maybe get Terry’s mom involved if she comes to visit? You’ve given yourself a wealth of characters to create with. Thank you for giving me a reason to look forward to Mondays, lol! Edited to add: I think Jenny killed Trevor because he wanted Jack, not because he wanted his money.

People are Friends Not Food
Geemeedee commented on Demiurge's story chapter in People are Friends Not Food
That would be killer! (pun not intended) But knowing @Demiurge (aaaaand I don’t, but it’s a feeling), Wren will stay bitterly human. Talk about punishment for past sins! I kinda dig it. LOL -
People are Friends Not Food
Geemeedee commented on Demiurge's story chapter in People are Friends Not Food
Now that I’ve read it I kinda feel like, what’d we expect? Wren was resurrected with a mix of light and dark magik, not whatever it was that made him a flesh-eating monster. So it makes sense that he’s human now. I bet he doesn’t even have claws anymore. What a fascinating turn of events! I bet no one is completely happy he came back this way, not even Eon. The cruel, violent, (almost) heartless core that made Wren Wren is gone. You can’t be the leader of the Verseckt if your growl makes Eira giggle (if that happens I’m fairly certain Wren will try to kill himself). What does a monster do when he is no longer a monster? Eats cooked food, for starters. 😄 We wanted Wren back and @Demiurge gave him back. They didn’t promise they’d return him in the condition he died, lol. -
Chapter 26: More Talking
Geemeedee commented on Demiurge's story chapter in Chapter 26: More Talking
I LOVE Kenji. I want to be friends with him, but he’d probably think I’m silly, roll his eyes and move on, lol. Alec and his mom: That situation is solved, in my opinion. He said what needed to be said twice now. She’s not going to change. He doesn’t have to change. He never has to see her again. THAT SAID, I know he’ll go see her again. Because plot point + drama. I would fuck up a burger with cheese curds! Nothing left on the plate. And if they have deep-fried Oreos I might propose to the cook.- 37 comments

Is it messed up that I want Terry and Dan to stay at Cynthia’s house because I like Cynthia’s house? 😆 So, all it took to win Colin’s respect was to damn near die and cause the gruesome end of a woman who spurned him 25 years ago. My fave part was when Colin excitedly told Harold that D̶a̶d̶ Terry said it was cool to watch goings on from up in the void.

Chapter 19: Baltimore Business
Geemeedee commented on astone2292's story chapter in Chapter 19: Baltimore Business
I was musing on this aspect. I don’t think Vincent should go home until each case is done. I remember Tierney’s case, and how he figured out a lot of it by thinking back on what he’d heard and read earlier. That time for the brain to consciously or subconsciously put the picture together is crucial. Also, sticking around allows time for snooping and for would-be informants to reach out. If Vincent goes home every night he loses that edge. Living a case for a few days isn’t a bad thing … besides, if he has to travel to interview people, he’ll cut the travel time down from hours to minutes. -
Are you proposing to me?
Geemeedee commented on Mrsgnomie's story chapter in Are you proposing to me?
Loren’s proposal was great. It cracked me up that Jay didn’t even wonder why everyone was patiently sitting like they were waiting for a meeting to start. Wonder how he feels about EVERYONE knowing except him (and Aidan, who cannot keep a secret). Curious about how Jay’s mom deals with the Denver/marriage news. Also, what month is this? Six months since that last month, which was …??- 151 comments

Sounds like a really great day, but Maddox never did say how he felt about their time at the soup kitchen. And his response during the play — Jonathan is a lot more worldly than him (I remember Maddox saying he was from a very small town) and this chapter highlighted it. How does Maddox feel about his boyfriend opening his eyes to new experiences? He’s willing to go along with whatever, but what does he think about what he’s seeing? So far the relationship has been based on their sexual attraction, but with Jonathan taking the lead on their out-of-bed activities, will Maddox keep his confident swagger? He’s the big fish in the little pond, but his eyes are being opened to the larger ocean. (Corny, but you get what I’m saying, lol.) Learning how to cook at a soup kitchen is hella smart, btw.

Nope, Kenji and River are in a sub-dom/master-brat relationship. @Demiurge wrote: “Like the necklace on River and the bracelet on Ken’s wrist where a matching key dangled freely.”

Such a captivating chapter. I was impressed by how quickly Terry and Cynthia thought on their feet — great genes! What makes me laugh is how Colin probably missed all the backstory and drama being his grumpy, blame-the-world self. … does this mean we don’t get the séance? 😩

The Truth in Loren's Eyes

You don’t have to. Post it now! We’ll support you. I’m wondering — Loren has 40 million + Insta fans. Will he still post every day when the new businesses take precedence? What will he do to keep them engaged? He has such power …- 124 comments

The Truth in Loren's Eyes
Geemeedee commented on Mrsgnomie's story chapter in The Truth in Loren's Eyes
If we don’t get to visit cousin camp I will be so bummed! Loren really brought it, in the way that he absolutely HAD to. I was impressed. He finally went all in!- 124 comments

Please don’t tease me! I hope this means Wren is coming back. 🥺 I really really like this new shift in Kalian. He’s still his sweet, empathic self at the core, but there’s a layer of steel wrapped around it that allows him to be ruthless in protecting those he loves. I’m here for it. Looking forward to finding out who the bad guys are. Two weeks in a row is amazing. Thank you!
