Some fine writing here, but I freely admit I don’t get it. I think time spent in therapy for each of them to work on issues and they could make a go of it. That said, I’m not into BDSM, so I don’t know what I don’t know.

I agree that his father has something to do with TC’s need for total control. And I think once he realizes that, his need for a 24/7 sub will ease. I think both men could learn to compromise in order to be together. It’ll take time, of course ...

WHOA. All these people are in a town “dozens” of miles away from a phenomenon that causes insanity and they aren’t evacuating? WTH?? This story took a weird-ass turn.

STRATOS IS A FOOL, telling Leon all that about Gemini. He will regret it.

LOVE Jada. What a well-written conversation! I look forward to when Sawyer lets go a little — this time, hopefully without using drugs and alcohol as a crutch. I also look forward to how he fits into Jimmy’s story.

Chapter 8 - Going Commando
Geemeedee commented on Mrsgnomie's story chapter in Chapter 8 - Going Commando
I actually thought it was clear that Cam is the one who wants to eff around. And I think she might be an alcoholic. I get the feeling they’re best friends who married young because that’s what everyone expected them to do, and they’re definitely more friends than lovers. In fact, Cam was probably Penn’s best friend until Nash came along. I honestly don’t get Penn. It’s almost like he’s asexual. Cool chapter. I was surprised Nash left YEVO immmediately, but here we are. Dude shoulda asked for a severance package. And TAKE THE SPOUSAL SUPPORT FOR A YEAR. Jesus.- 49 comments

Chapter 7 - Dear Future Husband

Best chapter so far! The Emancipation of Nash. He had no choice but to quit when the board tripped like that. They took him for granted. And I agree with FanLit — WTF planet are Lee and Paul on that they think they can escape this mess blame-free and unscathed? I kinda feel for Cam at this point. They certainly don’t miss her while she’s gone. The question is, why are she and Penn still married? Mr. Chambers and Wayne are SO cool. Wayne saying, “That’s a no for me, dawg” took me ouuuuuuut!- 36 comments

Chapter 6 - Trying to Cope
Geemeedee commented on Mrsgnomie's story chapter in Chapter 6 - Trying to Cope
Nash’s self-doubt reads so authentic. Of course there’s tons of things he can do with his experience, and he has sooooo many people who care about him and will help him. But he can’t see any of it right now. He can’t see how Lee is using him. He can’t see that the town would rally to support him, not exclude him. Why do I get the feeling that Penn didn't know about Lee, but maybe his brothers did? “It’s complicated ...“- 33 comments

I recently re-read The First Lock, so mind control is on my ... mind.

Pretty sure someone with the power of suggestion put the idea in Leon’s head that he wanted a smoke. The question is, why did that someone want him to hear about Gemini’s last?

Yes, that’s exactly what I meant!!

After reading these comments — especially the analysis of the “it’s complicated” statement — I keep thinking, “when would Lee have time to cheat??” But Nash IS busy a lot with the kids ... I look forward to clarity, LOL. And WOW. Do men like Nash really exist?

It really bugs me how Ryan doesn’t take no for an answer. I don’t know how much of a role this plays in the bad events that’ll happen, but I don’t like it. I don’t feel good about this family. They’ve decided ... something about Nash that isn’t cool.

I know. I’m hypothesizing.

Sooooo Gem had two locks and the telekinesis one is broken. I think the other lock was because he can do something big and terrible, and his mom knew it. Do you watch “The Umbrella Academy” on Netflix? This makes me think of that great show. Thinking of locks makes me want to visit Katrena’s story again. Another thought: The kelari bring to mind “The Handmaid’s Tale,” and how a society allows a subset of people to be subjugated while the rest of the world averts its eyes. I wonder if the kelari are limited to this culture?

I love the way this ended as well. I have questions — did Bailey quit the job he took down south? How will he work going forward? Does he know why Harlan is really at the camp? — but I appreciate him, like Paul, completely committing to such a serious endeavor for the man he loves. (Is Paul still a firefighter, BTW?) I also thought it was cool the way Corbin displayed how important Harlan is to him. I’m bummed that the story is over, but happy you have another winner under your belt. If I were to change anything, I would suggest more flashbacks or scenes about Bailey’s life before the accident. I’m not saying he’s one-dimensional, but something/someone contributed to his senses of humor and honor, and why he became an engineer.

Chapter 2 - Clubble Trouble
Geemeedee commented on Mrsgnomie's story chapter in Chapter 2 - Clubble Trouble
That food fight sounded like such a blast! Kids who have a Nash in their life are so lucky. I dread what’s to come, but come it must, I guess.- 17 comments

After this, I’m surprised there’s only one chapter left. With that in mind, I think I understand what’ll happen next. Part of me wanted the story to end here, with Bailey driving away and both of them crying by themselves. After all, life doesn’t always turn out like we want. But these days, I’ll take all the HFNs (happy for now) I can get. Thank you.

1. She’s probably having an affair. 2. Why don’t they divorce? 3. What the hell happened that he won’t even watch horror flicks anymore?

Yep. I knew Dorian wasn’t dead because he hadn’t left a farewell message for Karissa. It was as she said — they’d just found love and had a bright future planned. And he didn’t say goodbye or declare his love? i find it hard to believe Dorian can stay hidden, but he can try ... maybe some McKinleys come after him at Karissa’s pack? Kidnap a pup, perhaps? I enjoyed the story.

AWWW SHIT! IT’S ON LIKE DONKEY KONG! I’m stoked at the direction this is taking and now realize why there’s no title yet. This is the same universe as Desmond and the others, so clueless Stratos is taking a long-ass time to realize this is his mate.
-
No common sense, that Stratos. Painful to watch.
