  1. okay....found some Christmas spirit, beautiful version of the song!
  2. I just wanted to say that I loved the story! So much drama for them all to get through, but such a wonderful outcome in the end. Awesome job.
  3. This is my grandmother's favorite christmas song, i remember being a child in her kitchen learning to cook with her and she'd sing this and so many more in a voice that just sent shivers down your soul.
  4. Oh no, please don't let anything happen to oreos, I love the double stuffed...and the strawberrry...and the mint
  5. I look at it this way, when the whole Y2K thing was supposed to happen and all the computers were supposed to die and the power go out, i was sitting with a bottle of Jack in one hand and my arm around the first person I ever loved. We were sitting on the balcony of the apartment he rented, across the street from the house he grew up in, laughing as his dad streaked 'as in no clothes streaked' across the street to come steal booze. We sat talking about all those special moments we'd spent together in high school, the wild days, the concerts, the friends we'd had and the places we'd gone and all the things we'd seen since then and as the clock counted down we toasted ourselves and our friends, or families and our lives, content with whatever the outcome might be. And minutes ticked and nothing happened and the world went on. Now here we are 12 years later and another so called end is supposed to come. Well I have a bottle of Tequila in the corner, and my best friend and the second love of my life to share it with and I'll be drinking and reminicing and if the world ends, okay, glad we lived it, and if the world doesn't, then okay, hurray for another day.

    Birth

This had an interesting start, kicking things off with deception can only mean there is a wild, and likly painful ride ahead...which can all come together to make for a potentially awesome read and I for one look forward to seeing more.
  7. Oh boy, he might wanna clue them in that something is up with him. This could go bad...really bad depending on if he ends up a good little vampi or a bad little vampi. Can't wait to read more.

    Chapter 4

What a jerk Hiro was! I hope he get's what's coming to him somewhere down the line. I love the dynamicof the three now living together, there's an odd balance there that makes things serious and yet with the potential for soft and caring at the same time. As always, I look forward to more.
  9. I wait for you When the black leather seats of the diner Are no longer plush And stuffing oozes Like mashed potatoes From broken stitching Cracked Faded Like the rearview I watch for you in Walking Through fields of blooming clover Thumb out Waiting For the aged silver bus Painted in flowers To ride on by And me In beads and braids Hanging out the window Mellow and warm Swaying To old freedom songs Lost Now In the pounding rhythm of a country So far removed From all that is holy It has forgotten The blood The magic The sex Spilled and leaked On the old highways That forged America And pumped life Into withered veins Pain And agony Torture In restriction The loss Of what made us gods Haunting The American nights Where Jazz is dead And blues are the swirling neon Of too many bars All pressed together In tiny rows Huddled Pretending there nothing wrong With a place That says come in empty And leave alone.

    Second Guessing

That's sort of what happens to me too, someone will say something while I'm still unsure of a piece, and then all of a sudden I'll lose all momentum and never finish it. Sigh, so many unfinished projects lying around, I tell myself one day I'll figure them out but it gets harder and harder to revisit them.

    Awaited

Awesome update, I love how you built to the first meeting by setting it up with the tv story. I wonder if we'll discover why he was late coming in, and how all the attention he's gotten, the good (and not so good) will all play out in the end. I can't wait to read more.

    Chapter 5

Hmmm, the new guy sounds like he's going to be a bit of a distraction, it's going to be fun to read where that leads. I really love the pacing and the tone of the story. The little plot pieces that have been added in the last two chapters create some wonderful intrigue, and I for one can't wait to read more.
  14. Favorite movie is actually a toss up between National Lampoons Christmas Vacation and Jingle All the Way.

    Chapter 1

I really love this beginning, and am so curious to learn how Noah got those papers. The thoughts and dialogues had a very natural flow to them and I thought the interactions between the two fathers and the sons was a great contrast, I can't wait to read more.
  16. Just read the whole thing in one shot, and poor Ashi and Tim, if i were them, i might be looking for an acme worm hole to go hide down because they really can't seem to catch a break, every moment it seems like they are falling into a new bit of drama. You have some interesting things going on here, i look forward to reading more.

    Chapter 4

I really like where this is going, the mystery is going to be fun to watch be unraveled. I can't wait to see what methods Timothy uses to try and find the culprit.

    Chapter 4

Wow, loved the flashbacks, they told a very important part of the story and you did an awesome job with placing them at key points in the present as to tie everything together seemlessly. I soo wanna know what happened with the wedding and how/if it took place. The storm was a great touch and it seemed to correspond with their emotions. great job, i can't wait to read more.

    Chapter 3

Well, that wasn't nice of whoever sent the letter, I hope they find him, but something tells me the real story will be the search. Look forward to reading more.
  20. I was writing yesterday, and I hit a place in a chapter where I stumbled and had a hard time continuing on, not because I didn’t know what was supposed to happen there, but because I was second guessing myself and what had come to me while I’d been outside thinking earlier in the day. I do this a lot really, second guessing myself when I write, stopping myself from going to the place I was headed out of fear that I might be going too far or that it won’t sit well with others. I’ve found that when I second guess, I’m not usually as happy with how the thing turned out as I am when I just go with my gut, and let the story go where the characters wanted to take it. I found myself wondering how many others out there do the same thing when they write, and if it was just a common thing in writers, or if I was spending too much time ‘thinking’ and not enough time just going with the flow. I recently read over the first story I posted here to GA, Cold Confusion, and I could actually count all the places where I second guessed myself and didn’t go where I had intended to go. I like the story, but I think it could have been a stronger one if I’d written what had come to mind, rather than downgraded, downplayed, shortchanged, or downright did away with some of the thing that I’d had planned. One day maybe I’ll re-write that one and add in all the things I left out.
  21. Wow, 30 years! I still have my first 2 CDs. They were Guns N Roses Use Your Illusion 1 and 2. It was also the first time I ever had to have a parent come with me to buy music because they had the parental advisory sticker on it.
