Sleep.....that very elusive butterfly. At this stage in my life, when I catch that butterfly I'm on top of the world the next day. Don't know about eating fruit in my birthday suit....the fruit might run away screaming. haha. Fighting giants and Captain Hooks was a wonderful line that reminded me of my days of using tree branches as swords and being the swashbuckling pirate queen and using a blanket as a cape as I played Superman. Oh wait, that was last week I'm writing the last 4 lines of Being Me and putting them in my cubicle at work. If that's ok with you? Thanks for the uplift. -
Out of all the great things in this chapter, when I got to the end all I could think was "Can vampires have children?" Poor Amasis. The world is a scary, wondrous place for those of us living in these times and you did a beautiful job conveying his confusion, astonishment and sadness. Devon told him correctly, the world just is! How do you come up with such brilliant insight?? Kind of sad that the family is splitting up but change happens and they want their own space. So are we headed to Russia (why?) Or back to England cause they know there are Old Ones there? In case I haven't said this recently.....I love this story!

Loved this chapter and Alice is a hoot!!! Co-alphas? That's perfect. And the mating sex scene gave me the warm and fuzzies with a zing. Congrats on moving the hubby.

Just because Rafa is 'retired' doesn't mean he's retired!!! He may be in charge of some super secret Egyptian alphabet equivalent strike force!!!! How are you planning on getting them out of the underground city and to an airport? And Amasis' soldiers don't have guns. Spears will not cut it. My anxiety level is rising. I'm worried about the gang. Do we have a Fast and Furious team somewhere nearby who can drive in and save the day? Or the Avengers....Superman and the Justice League...X-Men....Batman? Hell, I'd take the Suicide Squad. If I didn't have polish on my nails, I'd be biting them.

Bastien's a little stubborn and short sighted, isn't he? If he's going through all this pain, doesn't he know that Mason is feeling it? If Mason being there will help him, why is he objecting to him being there? He's not giving his mate a chance to help. Thanks for the update.

Gotta love Ms Julie!! She really knows how to get a point across, doesn't she? That porch scene was rather hot and I figured out who "John" was immediately. So what's the story there? Possession? Memories imprinted in the wood? Can't wait for Chicago.

Oh no he didn't!!! (with the appropriate neck roll)!!! Suggestion: Trein needs to be cut 1,000 times with a wolsfbane laced razor, then covered with honey, staked through his wrists and ankles on the ground over a fire ant mound and while that's happening cut off his man parts with a rusty, knife and THEN chop his head off!!!! If that's not gruesome and painful enough, let me know....I'm sure I can come up with more ideas! You really don't like government involvement in alien and paranormal worlds, do you? -
Hummmm. I think Nathan like likes Bryce. They will make such a sweet couple. I predict at least 3 chapters for the dinner party. Alex has quite a few conversations (veiled threats) to go through and then the sisters being there and all the drama and humor I see coming, yep, 3 chapters.

Tears!!! I feel so bad for Jeremy and his family. All those years, figuring it out on their own and they were so darn brave. They didn't turn him away or put him out in the sun to die. They took care of him and loved him. I just want to hug them and now Thornwood has it's very own Dr Dolittle. I never read the books but I adored the Rex Harrison movie back in the day. I even tried to talk to my cat....and anyone who has interacted with a feline knows how that went. I like Droughtquake's idea of Buddy.uk and Buddy.eg. That'll make it easier to keep track and I miss Stan and Mark. They should be there with the gang.

I hope his friends feel like S**T when they find out. He NEEDED them and they blew him off without even taking 1 minute to listen to him. I'm glad they aren't real because I'd track them down and do bodily harm. Less then 700 words and you stirred up all this emotion. -

This was a short chapter?? It didn't seem like it, so much happened. You should write the chapters whichever way is most comfortable for you. We'll read it no matter what length as long as it's longer than 3 paragraphs. LOL. Kevin is going to be just perfect for Josh but that dog comparison line will stay with me all week. Can Kevin's dad get the beat down? He really deserves it. And I really must start listening to country music again. Now for me, I could put on a flow-y yellow dress and swing a baseball bat at Mel's head and sing Lemonade like Bey.

Loved this chapter! Poor Karen was all kinds of disappointed when she couldn't tell the humans from the vampires. What was she expecting ....those Twilight vamps? LOL. Sean is going to be just perfect as the architect for VUN. Can Wayne have a love interest? Either male or female will do. And who's the witch you quoted? From Wicked? Hocus Pocus? Witches of Eastwyck? Into the Woods? LOL. I'm not gay so I don't have a card to turn in. But I do love musicals. And I'm casting my vote for the 3rd part... I mean, we do have to go to Africa at some point, right? -
And the last paragraph says it all!!

Believe it or not....I don't have anything to add. All the other reviewers have expressed my feelings for this story exactly. So BRAVO for an excellent story and letting us see that a somewhat minor character actually had a story to tell. Now about book 3........
