  1. Mason's betrayal froze Khayyam's heart, but his explanation and love may eventually unfreeze it. Whether they'll even be friends or more, at least he'll have put the incident behind him and can move on with his life. I know you can't edit Anthology stories, but I'd like to point out the Danish poet spelled his name Hans Christian Andersen with an e. It's a common mistake in USA, and it always annoys me. Swedes spell similar surnames with -son at the end, but with Danes it's always -sen. Like Viggo Mortensen

    Christmas Break

I think Eros persuaded the North Wind to or some other weather god to hit the boys with everything he'd got, because he was so fed up with all the arrows heed wasted trying to get Curt and Greg to admit their feelings for each other.

    Almost Home

Enough to make the hairs rise at the back of my neck, yet somehow it wasn't a surprise. The bad feeling started the moment he got the phone call. Hopefully, his lonely heart will ache less at the memory of the call and the fact they had a wonderful time together before the end. I also hope James was out to his parents and they knew about Bryson being his boyfriend, or they may be in for several shocks when their son breaks down.
  4. This is a Christmas story designed to make you feel good and get into the spirit of giving. It's nice to see a story with sensible, caring parents who try to instill the right principles in their son even though they spoil him too. Maybe they got just as good a Christmas present as Jason from Tommy's act of maturity.

    Story

Tommy realized the joy of giving can be much greater than the joy of receiving. I think Jason did well, because it can be hard to receive gifts and charity without feeling embarrassed or even resentful. But perhaps Tommy's relative innocence and enthusiasm made it easier.
  6. This story captures the true meaning of Christmas: Unconditional love and the giving of meaningful gifts. Like @Brayon says, have tissues at hand. Probably even better with a snow storm outside.

    Story

Made tears stand in my eyes. I'm glad for Rollie, but even more glad for Tyler, who has found a safe haven. And maybe Lex can R.I.P as he deserves, knowing he gave the ultimate Christmas gifts: life and a chance of fatherly love to a young teen and meaning of life to his Dad.
  8. Arrrgh, I wish you'd tell us who the woman is. I bet she's someone Ben has helped in the past, if not his sister. Colin is definitely overthinking and as always apt to see trouble where nothing exists, but he's also got good instincts. Pollard is something of a bigot, but I think he cares about Ben. Perhaps he'd learn some tolerance if Ben came out to him and called him on the bigotry. However, I also get the feeling Pollard might be the mole and his visit to Ben just an insurance that no one knows what Banner was upset about.
  9. I'd never read that story before. It was beautiful, but so sad. Yet somehow the end was bright in a wonderful way.

    Story

Such a sad story, all the more because it's the reality for too many kids. I hope Mrs. Taylor who took him back, as well as whatever department (CPS?) she was from, had a very bad Christmas and faced censure for letting a kid get killed like that. Why didn't they listen to him? But at least Ricky got to see his brother happy and knew he was never forgotten by him or by his foster parents.
  11. This beautiful Yule Tide tale is set in an unspecified time and place where Christian faith and morals are slowly pushing out the old beliefs. But the village smith keeps to the Old Ways and laments how the new prudish ways forces him to keep his love of men a secret. And of one man in particular - the most unobtainable partner of all: a Christian monk. I enjoyed the images evoked by this short but rich story and I recommend it warmly on this longest of nights. Read it in front of a fire with a mug of something hot in your hand and feel your heart melt.

  12. I loved your story. I'm going to read it again. Glædelig Jul.

    Chapter 10

Tiny steps forward. Let's hope he can stay calm.
  14. LOL, yeah, that was a great scene. I've managed to read the story and leave comments @Sam Wyer must be reading it too, because he just liked my comment for chapter 8.

    Chapter 18

Such a wonderful story and the ending was very satisfying. Tyler will make it and have the love and family and friends he deserve. I hope he'll become a therapist or maybe a social worker, as he'll be able to help those in need. Thank you for sharing this story, and thank you to @Cia who featured the story and made me find it.

    Chapter 17

I'm glad most of the jocks realized they were way over the line. Mitch needs to be kicked off the team. Tyler may want to keep it quiet, but if Mitch blabs his mouth about the scars, the game will be up.

    Chapter 16

You don't mention it, but they must have separate shower stalls at the school. There's no way Tyler would get naked in front of a bunch of bigoted jocks.
  18. Timothy M.

    Chapter 15

Well, I'm glad Tyler is beginning to stand up for himself, and those bullies may back off a bit now.
  19. Timothy M.

    Chapter 14

Whoa that was major, but at least it made Linda more able to relate to Tyler and his need for Robert. But maybe the Butlers will be nice.

    Chapter 13

That's was a wonderful Christmas treat, and just the right time of the year for reading it. Tyler is doing wonders for Paul. But I think it's terribly unfair Tyler can't stay with Connor and his mom or have his own place. He'd be able to get a student roomette in Denmark.

    Chapter 12

Linda and Amy are the best, I'm actually pleased Karen insisted on Tyler going there, but she needs to be told how damaging her careless words of frustration are.
  22. Timothy M.

    Chapter 11

Yeah, I agree completely. But he still needs to make progress with his own issues and not just helping the other 'inmates' with theirs.
  23. Timothy M.

    Chapter 10

It's great to see how well Tyler is doing and that he can even see past his hurt about Robert and Connor. He'll be happy when they turn up tomorrow. Poor Chris.
  24. Timothy M.

    Chapter 9

that's so awful. But I'm glad Robert found Connor and told him the truth. And I'm even more glad the doctor at the hospital asked Tyler the right question and believed him. I hope they'l now press charges on Mr. Henderson.
  25. Timothy M.

    Chapter 8

Now I'm REALLY PISSED with Connor. How the fuck could he do this to Tyler? He deserves it if Tyler never forgives him. I hope Robert tells him exactly what he did to his poor boyfriend. And I'm even more pissed at his social worker for not even asking Tyler and Robert what really happened. I mean for fuck's sake she can see Tyler's been hit and she should take him to hospital and and have his injuries documented.
