You did extremely well with the Kevin part, all the underlying tension vibrated in the slightly disjointed rambling way he told his tale, hinting at the issues he was fighting with, and sometimes shining through with heart-braking clarity. Like his first visit to another boy's home or his wariness about opening up to his aunt, who most be a good woman if his parents didn't visit her normally. I liked how Greg gently explained to Denny what might be the barriers to both Kevin and Billy joining their group, but it was sweet how Denny wanted Kevin and Billy get together, which I'm sure the whole group agrees on. The movie plans showed it in a not-so-subtle way, so I look forward to that. But first I want to see what Jay planned for Mikey on Friday.

I wish you hadn't added the spoiler in the chapter note. It prevented me from enjoying the first part of the evening together with Geoff. I'm not surprised he left, and calling Tony and forgiving him too, was more than Tony deserved. But at least he knew it too. At first I was quite pissed about the story going there, but after thinking it over I realized Tony making mistakes makes him more human and interesting. And Geoff need no longer feel Tony is too good for him !

Phew, I'm glad Cas is OK. Etsu is awesome, one of my favorite characters in this story. And he has Orin wrapped around the tip of his tail, lol.

As a Dane I was of course particularly interested in the Danish connection, but unfortunately I also know where this is leading. I'm glad Hornblower has attracted the attention of Lord Spencer.

Gay Authors Officially 15 Years Old on 9/13
Timothy M. commented on Myr's blog entry in Gay Authors Archive
I joined on March 21st 2013 and I left my first comment two days later for podga, who I think was the one who told me about GA. Sadly, he's no longer active here. At the time I was looking for a place where readers appreciated the efforts to write a good story and also gave real feedback to the authors. At first I read a lot of stories (maybe even before I joined ), working my way down the Most Favorited list, and it soon became clear that GA was indeed a place with quality authors, stories and readers. In fact, for a while I thought I'd never be able to post any stories here, because they wouldn't measure up. But one of the great things about reading so many wonderful stories is the chance to improve your own writing. Of course, having awesome editors/betas help just as much, as well as the great advice and discussion in the forum topics. Looking back at my early comments I realize they're a lot more critical than what I'd write today. I seemed to mainly write a comment when I wanted to point to an inconsistency in the story line. Maybe that's why most of them were ignored, although it may also be because some of the authors were not active on GA. But I recall the thrill of getting a reply - @Andrew_Q_Gordon was the first, then @Krista , @Bill W , and @Jwolf . I've learned to comment mostly about what I like about a story, and that it's better to send a PM with constructive criticism. But I still love to do a good rant now and then, only I focus on the characters and situations which the author wants us to yell about, right @aditus ? Anyway, to cut a long story short, GA soon became my second home, with many friends and people I admire. I've never considered posting stories anywhere else, and I rarely look for stories elsewhere. My thanks to everyone who contribute to making GA such a wonderful place. PS @Puppilull and @Defiance19 I'm proud to be the one to have lured you here. You fit perfectly in the GA family. -
I spent most of the time at home, except for a quick trip to London. It seems like ages ago, because August was terribly busy. Spetember is a bit better, but I won't catch up with my writing and reading until the end of October. I only just managed to get the 9.11 review done and thank you again for doing some fast editing. Lightening Lisa.

Hope you don't mind me sticking this link in here, since very few people noticed the blog review yesterday.

Chapter 60 Calling Cards
Timothy M. commented on Headstall's story chapter in Chapter 60 Calling Cards
Calling Cards and The Name Game were good titles for this chapter. What’s in a name? that which we call a rose By any other name would smell as sweet; Shakespeare was right in some ways, yet words do matter, be they names of love or hate or misunderstanding or need or any other emotion we are capable of. Right from the very first chapter of Cards, we learned how Kendall and Michael were stuck because they had not named the feelings and longings which kept them together yet apart. Oh, they named the friendship, but not the love which followed. But they learned their lesson and in this chapter they tried to teach Nate. If you hide stuff, you’ll fret about it just like you’re doing now, and it’ll build into something bigger than it ever should be. You need to communicate if you want what you have to last. Wise words, telling Nate to put a name to his worries, and hopefully find out Bodie feels the same or at least understands and respects the advice of the uncles. Calling Cards fit Mrs B., because she's from a time where you'd leave calling cards when you visited. I'm sure Michael is right about her telling everyone about her lovely new neighbors. She has proper manners, and while she speaks her mind, she does not judge and she admits her mistakes and lack of knowledge. But I do wish one of them had told her, she had probably met gay men without knowing it, because they were most likely in the closet. In fact, she has, since she knows Bodie, but of course they can't tell her that. It'll be interesting to see if her hopes of the daughter being pacified by the cops next door come true. That reminds me of Michael being upset about Kendall not calling himself a cop. He needs to stop thinking this way - same as Kendall's father. Kendall knows he's more fulfilled in a job where he's the boss and can take care of both the guys working there and the people they are employed to protect. I admire him for being clever enough to realize and explain, and I hope Michael will be proud of him rather than keep thinking he's been short-changed. I'll have to think more about the chapter and what name games I've overlooked, but now it's time for bed. -
Chapter 59 Christmas Cards
Timothy M. commented on Headstall's story chapter in Chapter 59 Christmas Cards
Like all your other readers I'm delighted to be back with the CotT family, laughing and and knowing how important it is to have someone you love and trust. Christmas Cards is an old tradition which is perhaps getting scarcer, at least in the physical version. Often they are used to catch up with family and friends who we don't see so much, due to distance or lack of time. In this chapter we get to catch up with the boys - both sets - and see them in typical Christmas settings: The anticipation, which for Nate was made harder by missing his parents and sisters. The joy of waking up Christmas morning with the one you love. Spending time with your family at breakfast. Opening Christmas present and knowing you've found the perfect gift. As a bonus we went to visit Bodie and the puppies, and I have to say I agree with Michael and Kendall about Nate and Bodie being good for each other. Everybody wins on family game day.... - yes that's right: we won a chapter and the resumption of the story. Nate and Bodie won a couple of hours together - and so did Michael's parents. I sure they can find a way to enjoy it. M&K win every day they are together, enjoying their love and looking forward to a great future together. -

Northern Exposure: General Discussion
Timothy M. replied to Mark Arbour's topic in Mark Arbour Fan Club's Topics
I treasure every mention of Hornblower in your Bridgemont series. -
That's what I meant with my game juice comment.
-
If Zach knew about the assistant coach hiding in the closet (literally) beforehand, Will needs to dump his stupid sorry ass. If he didn't, then he has either a problem or a different source of game juice.

I'm so glad for Jas, he deserves to be a puddle of bliss.

GA's Newest Promising Author: Parker Owens
Timothy M. commented on Renee Stevens's blog entry in Gay Authors Archive
Tillykke ! -
Well, I can recall what happened with Renown and Captain Sawyer from the Hownblower books and it wasn't pleasant. But he got what he deserved and Hornblower did too. I'm sure Granger will be able to advice the Admirality on how best to employ Berkeley to use his strengths.

The best laid plans of mice and men go oft astray... Hopefully, they'll be in time to save Caspin.

I hope it was a video recording. Together with Seth and Liam's testimony about the work place it might be enough to get a restraining order against Kris.

Annoying brothers are not my thing, but I'm glad Seth is making great new memories with Liam.

People Will has slept with
Timothy M. replied to Mark Arbour's topic in Mark Arbour Fan Club's Topics
Since Will has started having sex with other people besides Zach, I decided to restart the list. I've added to the full list up to the current Black Widow chapter. Let me know if I've missed anyone. A person may appear in more than one category depending on what they've done. Within each combination the list is chronological. I've sorted it by oral, anal (intercourse) and other (e.g. frotting and hand jobs) and whether Will gave or received. If the name in oral is in parenthesis, it means there was oral play but not a full BJ. Will gave ORAL to Drew, Gathan, John, (Gustave), Berto, (Tony), Ryan, (Tyler the cab driver), Jeff, Kristoffer, Shane, (Patrick), John Carullo, Alistair, Paolo, Kyle, Vic the Masseur, (Trevor & Hayden), Jake, Mason, Steve the realtor, Kai, Ethan’s friend Joe, Zach, (Buzz Dalby), Dallas, Patrick Christian, (Colin) Will received ORAL from Drew, cousin John, Gathan, Gustave the kidnapper in Paris, Berto, (David), Jeff, (Mike skater), Shane, Cary the clerk in San Fran store, (Trevor), (Mason), Kai, (Malcolm), Alex, (Colin) Will had intercourse with (giving): Gustave, Berto, Raine, David the ice dancer, Jason the Tech guy, Jeff, Hayden, Mason, Malcolm, Marie, Zach, Carullo, Toby, Alex, Colin Will had intercourse with (receiving): Berto, Tony, Ryan, Tyler the cab driver, John, Jeff, Patrick from party, Gathan, Kyle, Trevor, Chicago night club guy, Carmine, Kai, Erik, John Carullo, Zach, Pedro, Devon, Toby, Buzz Dalby, Patrick Christian, Ramon, Colin Other sex: Bar twink (rubbing against him with Will coming in his pants) Dallas (Frotting in the waterfall) Dillon (Hand jobs and oral) Collin (frotting, hand job) If we exclude the 'other' category, Will has had sex with 47 people so far, and 32 of those were anal sex and 15 were 'only' oral sex. If we include the bar twink and Dillon, the next person Will has sex with, will be no 50. -
Chapter 78 No Such Thing As Bad Publicity
Timothy M. commented on Dodger's story chapter in Chapter 78 No Such Thing As Bad Publicity
I loved the fact that Don came in while they were kissing, serves him right. He wouldn't bat an eye if it was Fran and I hope the boys point that out. I also hope Robbie tells him about the advice he got from the retired social worker on having rights, and makes it clear that either Don will have to accept Nathan as Robbie's boyfriend or suffer the consequences. Robbie holds all the cards here, since he hasn't yet been officially adopted. He can make such a public official stink that Don's reputation would never recover - not to mention being in bad standing with Sue and his kids. I almost wish Don doesn't back down, as I would enjoy to see Robbie do his worst. But I guess there will be some insincere apologies and desperate attempts to save face by Don. He's on probation and he knows it. -
I'm glad Tony is patient and understanding, Geoff needs a lot of support and careful handling. Hopefully, Tony will be rewarded with hugs and kisses and enjoyable company over the next weeks and months.

Well that was a nice surprise. I'm glad Siggi went home to Amar, he needed to get calm and find his center. Else the talk with Gunni would not have gone well. Gunni impressed Siggi a lot, so even if he still pretends not to like him, he may actually decide to help with Dimitri. Gunni is right about his boyfriend's dependence being unhealthy, and about Dimitri and Siggi needing to resume their relationship. Not just for the sex but also as best friends who are honest and close.

Thanks, buddy, I'm thrilled you enjoyed the story - and quite pleased you think I should stick with only this chapter. I like your reason, and I think you're right about readers having more fun wondering about whether this was real or not. for reading and commenting.
