I wonder how much Liam and Alek have talked about their parents before. In fact, I wonder whether Alek has ever been able to share his deeper thoughts and emotions with Liam (or with his sisters) before now, because it wasn't 'manly.' I hope we're seeing a more honest and genuine Alek emerging, someone who feels comfortable in who he is and what he wants. Whether or not he gets back together with Liam.
Oh, and Alek should be careful about saying he's not doing it for Liam, because I think Liam needs to know he's the first priority now and that Alek does things to show he cherishes their time together. It's a fine balance to strike.
