Sablo fished his phone out his pants pocket, shot a brief text to his brother, and seconds later, someone knocked loudly on their front door. “What the hell, Sablo?“ Theo hissed. “Couldn’t you have waited a few minutes longer? The table isn’t set, and the salad’s not tossed!” “But we were almost late. Diego hates tardiness.” “Tough shit!” Theliel ripped a drawer open, grabbed some multicolored placemats, and stormed in the direction of the dining room. Over his shoulder he threw back

This is especially true when, like me, you start posting before you have the whole story written. I end up describing the starting point for the story and leave it at that.

If you haven't already done so (thanks Gary and Val), please take time to read Cole's blog review and leave a like and perhaps a comment for him as thanks for helping the review team.

Nice - is this supposed to be Diego or Azrael ?

Chapter 19 Hospital Surprises
Timothy M. commented on Timothy M.'s story chapter in Chapter 19 Hospital Surprises
Awww, I hope you won't mind me saying I'm a little proud of making you cry, especially since it was happy tears. We even call male nurses the same, although sygeplejer was used at one time. It literally means caregiver (plejer) of the sick (syge). But yeah, quite an ugly word, aesthetically. Writing intimate scenes is always a challenge (porn is much easier), so I'm glad you approve and enjoy them. And 'natural decency' is a brilliant way to describe them (and Grethe too). -
Happy to hear that. You can think of me and @Thorn Wilde (a fellow Nordic person) in the future. And of course we need a SATW comic about watching a movie. Oh and for the ladies: https://satwcomic.com/girl-s-night

But both Ruy and his mate have been born, so could this make a difference ? Of course, we don't know whether his mate's parents were mates. Are Seraei only fertile with their mate ? I guess that must be the case or there would be too many long lived half-Seraei on Earth, which would give the secret away. So the conclusion is: new Seraei are rarely born but created by humans meeting their Serai mate.

Very polite, Clo. My reactions were more in the line of

Reading the chapter again I can't help wondering whether some of the delegates will be relieved Nico is there. There must be some who do not agree with the feuding. Concerning Ruy's mate could this be a consequence of mixing Serai and human blood? If he's the first Earth born Elder he must be from the time shortly after the Serai settled on earth. Have any other Earth born Serai with a human parent met their mates yet?

I think it will be good for Eric to see Andy and Adam as a couple in their own home. Having a normal life with banter at the breakfast table and discussion about making supper and doing the washing. I also found it funny Brian might meet two gay men today, since I think he'll ask Eric to wait for Adam at the café, if possible. Though it might be easier and faster to put Eric in a taxi and send him to Andy and Adam's place, unless the paramedics are willing to take him there?

It's on my reading list too.

Two Brothers Meet the Matchmaker

We had fun writing it, too - especially the nestlings. @aditus gets most of the credit for that scene. I just sat and laughed as I made a few edits. -

Chapter 18 Neighbourly behaviour
Timothy M. commented on Timothy M.'s story chapter in Chapter 18 Neighbourly behaviour
I'm over your praise, which means more than you can possibly know. I almost gave up writing more chapters after getting some well-intentioned (and probably correct) but rather harsh criticism of the story. Comments like yours soothe my wounded author-ego and gets my muse in a good mood. Thanks Mr. Archibald is a fun character to write, he's a little grumpy and taciturn, but with a heart of gold. No one gets to say a bad word about Patrick in his presence. Yea, we need more people like him. -

@ColumbusGuy LOL, I really need to see that movie. Hopefully, this dinner will be more relaxed and make everyone happy. -

LOL, I love hove everybody think the dinner will be interesting. Let's hope the next chapter lives up to your expectations. Yes, Azrael's explanation helped Diego to see his special missions in a new light, but I think he may need further talks to get more comfortable with the task. -

Thanks, Gary, we worked hard on that part. Maybe Azrael needs somebody to care about him? Diego could be that guy. -

Yes, it eased his heart and mind a lot. Someone should have told him from the beginning, though. -

My grandmother had a wonderful garden, where I played as a kid, so that may be the reason for my fascination. -

In fact, the idea of Death's garden partly comes from a story by the Danish fairy tale writer Hans Christian Andersen: Historien om en Moder (The story of a mother), although there Death has a hothouse, and each plant represents a human and is replanted in Paradise when the human dies. I just liked the idea of Azarael having somewhere beautiful and comforting to relax, and I think Diego may be the first person to be invited there. I'm not sure it would be against proper protocol for Ayil to issue Theo with the task of checking Diego and Azrael out, but he hasn't had time to do so yet. I want to involve Angel and Imp, but, like you say, perhaps they won't be needed? -

LOL, I'm glad we're making you speculate, I wonder if the ideas you come up with are as crazy as ours. Feel free to share them, we might get inspired. -

Oh, I think Theo is able to take most things in his stride. And he seems to like making his lover cringe a bit - or make up for his mistakes. -

Two Brothers, Two Talks
Timothy M. commented on Timothy M.'s story chapter in Two Brothers, Two Talks
I guess you have read the second story in my A.I. trilogy where the white, blue and green angels are introduced. They are neither born nor ascended but simply exist. Possibly they're created, but no knowledge of this exist. Some of them are more experienced and mature, usually due to participating in missions among humans. They develop more of a personality than the vast multitude of common angels. Azrael is a higher angel, like the Principato who instructs the A.I. team angels, or like arch angels. They are purely celestial creatures, and have usually lived for eons. Hope this helps.
