    Stupid Harry, I'm really with him. Even if he did this at pride parades when he was single, he can't do that now. Or at least not without discussing it with his boyfriend first. But I'm glad his uncles are there for Ralph.

    Interesting how Ralph's mom is suddenly all happy about her gay brother-in-law. Maybe the fact he's a lawyer and will help fight for custody is a huge plus in his favor. But hopefully her improved attitude will help Ralph and Harry too. You hinted in this or the previous chapter that Neil only came home because his best friend died, but Ralph didn't seem particularly surprised to see Neil in the first chapter.

    It would be easier if Neil could stay near his family, and how would he be able to afford living on his own and paying for childcare ? I'm still trying to work out how old the brothers are. I was guessing 25 and 15, but then why hasn't Neil gone to college yet ? Did he go into the military ?

    I'm still a little confused about whether Maryann the mother was pregnant when she died. But I assume so, since why else name the baby after her and Frank. Awful idea IMO, I feel sorry for the poor girl. Fancy knowing people think of your dead mother every time they say your name. But otherwise Neil seems to be doing OK in his new role as father.

    Well, that's a big vote of confidence. Have you read Cupid Central by @aditus ? Otherwise, I can recommend it together with all his other stories. They'll keep you occupied while waiting for more Cardmaker chapters (thanks for all the likes and comments btw). Ariel may be bad, but just wait till you meet Ayil, the head of Cupid Central. Diego absolutely needs some hugs and TLC.

    Thanks, AC. I'm not sure what statues are at the Met, just that there are some. I'm not sure why I imagined them all stern and Greek with cloaks and chiseled features. Not all of them die, but they're definitely traumatized. It's not surprising Diego is feeling depressed.

    You're absolutely right. I'm so glad you caught on to this, because Peter arriving in Patrick's life opened the floodgates to more people who in some cases have been waiting at the side lines, while Patrick ignored the possibilities.

    This was a very crucial chapter in many ways, so I'm always happy and grateful when readers approve of it. How wonderful it evoked good memories, too.
