Well, at least they got it right on the second try - or was it the third ? So what did Landyn do to enable D to lower his shields ?

Lots of good points in this article. However, I hope for readers that most of them do NOT read out to themselves inside their heads. I have a friend who was a very slow reader (which was a problem when studying), so they took a speed reading course. One of the first thing the instructor asked was: "Do you read the text out to yourself inside your head?" Several people said yes and were told this was a major reason for their slowness. If you don't do it, the path to understanding is from your eyes to your brain, short and fast. If you do it, the path in your mind goes: eyes-mouth-ears-brain - a long, slow route. Making kids read out loud when learning to read should only be done in the shortest possible period, so as not to set this pattern in their heads. It took my friend quite a while to get rid of the habit. That said, there are also disadvantages to being a fast reader like me: you tend to miss details. But I often read stories, I like, two or three times and usually discover something new each time.

Great recommendation by tim. Just don't read Bound & Bound when you're alone on a dark and stormy night. If you need any more encouragement, you can also check out @Valkyrie's blog review from 2015.

Two Brothers Meet in a Bar

No, nestling arrows are quite harmless, and they wouldn't work on Sablo anyway, because he's been shot with a silver arrow. -

Thanks (it not just me but Aditus, too). Yeah, the timing of the DOR revoke was slightly suspicious. Is it significant? (author short hand for either big plot twist or plot hole). Diego did in fact have a few decades of more normal guardian duty, before he found himself assigned to those children, but yeah, he's not been a happy trooper for a while. Reaper man is my favorite DiscWorld novel and it's always fun when he appears in the other books too. "KIND OF DARK IN HERE, ISN'T IT?" -
We can read that here too. Great story.

why are you scrubbing the bathroom if it's being renovated. Won't they rip everything out ?

I saw a study once which looked at statistics for teen pregnancies. The countries with the most comprehensive and mandatory sex eds in schools, including teaching you how to have safe sex, had significantly fewer teen pregnancies than countries where there was no sex ed and/or mainly the no-sex-before-marriage mantra.

Two Brothers on the Warpath

I hope the confusion will be over by the time Aditus and I have finished the story. But you never know... -
Isn't the clitoris the female body's equivalent of the penis ? I think it was less than ten years ago that I read an article saying that describing and drawing the clitoris as a 'button' was totally ridiculous, because it was more like a rod, with the tip being like the head of a penis. I can't remember being taught anything like that in sex ed back in the 1970'ies.

How does Tracy know about Jeff ? While I'm glad he's befriending the shunned gay boy, I feel a little sorry for Jack who is actually standing up to his best friend and calling him on his bigoted behavior. It will be interesting to see whether Jimmy will be a better friend than Jason was. But perhaps Jack will retreat deeper into his closet and watch Tracy and Jeff with envy.

Chapter 9 Shopping trips
Timothy M. commented on Timothy M.'s story chapter in Chapter 9 Shopping trips
I'm glad the chapter appealed to your romantic heart. You've pointed out something essential about my story, which is Patrick getting a family after years of loneliness. Patrick and Peter falling in love was the aim of the original short story, but when I decided to expand it, I wanted to show all the other positive consequences of them getting hit by Cupid's arrows. -
Chapter 7 After the Famine, a Feast
Timothy M. commented on Timothy M.'s story chapter in Chapter 7 After the Famine, a Feast
Thanks, I love it when readers point out phrases they particularly enjoyed. I'm glad you like Anthony and John, they're a favorite of mine too. Hmm, you just gave me an idea. Moster Grethe is a mix of two relatives of mine, so I'm always pleased when my readers appreciate her. Thanks for reading and commenting. -
what's the "little man in the boat ?"

Who was it who said that strategy never survives the onset of the battle? Next time they'll know they need to plan for the unexpected to happen. We readers know why Mr. B was so affected, it's because he's originally from the Kingdom, like Kieran. I wonder if they'll find out eventually. Does Kieran look the same as he did before? Then someone may recognize the Prince, if they meet people. I assume they carefully put out the fire from their first meal. Woorawa wold never forget the danger of a bush fire.

Chapter 116 Reading Between the Lines
Timothy M. commented on Dodger's story chapter in Chapter 116 Reading Between the Lines
Robbie's conviction he'll die may be partly caused by his depression, however, it does have some merit. I've heard a story about a young woman who fell of a horse and hit her head. Took her a long time to recover. A few years later she developed a brain tumor which killed her, and the doctors couldn't explain its appearance in any other way than 'possibly due to her earlier accident.' Another possible explanation is slow seepage of spinal fluid, but that would probably show up on a full-body scan. As for the discussion about whether Alex should be reported and punished, I think it depends on what Robbie wants and what benefits him right now. He needs to focus on what will make him feel safe, such as refusing to be alone with Alex. Hopefully, he can enlist Nicola and Daniel to achieve this. -
But I bet he or she isn't online almost 24/7. There's usually someone here.

Focus on that and be proud you survived her presence in your life. And don't tell her you'll miss her. Tell her you hope her life will improve too.

I wonder if reading about the persecution of gays in less civilized parts of the world will make Eric think he shouldn't complain about those teens in his garden. If so, I hope Andy will tell him otherwise. Eric has never harmed anyone and he should not have to fear or endure harassment. Charity starts at home, and so does common decency and humanity.

Two Brothers on the Warpath

I wouldn't mind staying longer at work, if they served nice food and washed my clothes. I'm sure Sablo is pleased he won't have to use Theo to get in to talk to Ayil. But he still has to work out how to influence the testing of his brother. As for Diego's new orders LOL, once a week posting is actually very often for me (Aditus is much better). Imp may bite your ass if you steal his pillows. No telling what Angel will do. -

Thank you, Gary, we're enjoying this collaboration, and we haven't fought about the direction or the details yet. Feel free to brag, but I hope we can give you a fun surprise or two. -

Well, Sablo doesn't always think before he acts. Remember how he tried to stop Theliel from shooting a red arrow at the guy he was guarding? And what happened next ? Glad you like the idea of Diego being stalked by Death. More next week. -
Of course, I'm all for threesomes and foursomes and....

Well, it was either then or now, since I've been away all day. Hope my reply to your comment doesn't wake you up again. Some sort of conspiracy ?
