  1. OK, I wasn't sure. I checked Google Translate and it suggested sour cream.
  2. So, is creme fraiche the same in Norway ?
  3. Very nice - and I like the idea of sharing a recipe for remoulade. It's one of the things I miss most when I eat French fries abroad.
  4. You're welcome. Let me know if you like it. Can you get the sauce color stuff ?
  5. You're welcome, I look forward to hearing what you think. It's one of my top five favorite dishes. OH, and it's super easy to heat leftovers in the microwave the day after. Always make lots of sauce.
  6. Here you go @Thorn Wilde and @Albert1434 Original recipe in Danish: https://www.arla.dk/opskrifter/enebargryde-med-bagt-kartoffelmos/ I found a picture on Pinterest, and I think there is a recipe in English too. It's with mashed potatoes, but rice is so much better IMO.
  7. LOL, I agree @Starrynight22 - but you may want to stick your comments in a spoiler box for a day or two, in case people pop in here before reading the chapter.
  8. We can only hope, but I wish Ted had stayed at GA, with or without his stories. I miss him.
  9. I have one story, where I change POV between chapters (my first line prompt based story), but otherwise I tend to write 3rd person POV, although I have one longer story which is 1st person POV. Past tense is my usual mode, I have one story (not posted here) where I occasionally shifted into present tense deliberately as a way of giving more urgency to situations. As an editor I always point out if the verb tense is inconsistent.
  10. The revenge of the killer deer. I have a great recipe with dried juniper berries and ground rosemary in a cream sauce. You can use pork, chicken or turkey meat. Let me know if you want it.
  11. I guess being a second author on a story doesn't turn up in the search for postings by promoted authors. But now I'm feeling a little guilty about @aditus letting me get most of the credit for our joint work. I didn't do anything about Valentine's Day, but I noticed a blackbird singing in the dusk as I cycled home from work and thought 'Oh right, birds are supposed to start mating today.' We've had almost spring-like weather in Scandinavia the past few days, but you never know about February, could be snow tomorrow. Happy Sunday, everyone.

    Julie

Julie is clever and careful. Casually mentioning Daniel's boyfriend was a good was of testing her mom. If she had been anti-gay, she would have forbidden Julie to see Daniel again, since she's such a control freak. And getting her used to Amy as a close friend is also a smart plan. Maybe they won't be anything more, but I think Julie should admit to her feelings pretty soon. Amy will let her down gently and help her get over her crush, but more likely she'll agree they can be girlfriends. I'm guessing the next chapter will be Michael coming out to his parents. That should be interesting.

    Chapter 6

I have the feeling those formal clothes may not survive, but hopefully the belt will. I'm not surprised his friends were pissed, they were so happy to see Nico and D holding hands. But letting them all know how he feels about his mate should solve that. Scary news about Nico's house - and Sho would have been the victim if he hadn't left so suddenly. Maybe that was one of the reasons Nico got the vision. Not telling Ivan was a bit mean, but also funny. I'm sure he'll forgive Nico once they're bonded.
  14. @Thirdly I'm glad you managed to get back to the chapter, and that you approve of Patrick's choices and opinions. He's rich, but because the money is entwined with the loss of his parents he's been mostly ignoring it. But now he finally has something worth spending it on.
  15. Patrick really needed someone motherly in his life. Not to replace his mother, but simply to have that feeling of a older female relative who cares about him, but also nags him to put on warm socks. I expect the teasing will increase with better health, more language skills and knowledge of his new dad.
  16. LOL, do you really expect Imp to behave himself, ever ? He loves teasing Angel and if he can poke fun at Patrick at the same time, so much the better. Yup, Patrick will do anything for Michael, or at least anything Peter will let him get away with.
  17. That's OK, I took a screen shot. And now I can get back to writing instead of staring fixedly at the rep counter. I normally don't care what it is, and now I can ignore it until the next fun number.
  18. for the story like @Kitt - that sent Diego up to first place in the Top Stories list. And for the other likes, which sent my rep count to 33333. Screen shot saved.
  19. They're a bit short of vowels too. But Danish has a (compound) word with seven consonants in a row: ANGSTSKRIG (scream of fright).
  20. Thanks, Kitt, I'm glad you persuaded me to give the A.I. team their own story. And partnering with @aditus and the Cupid Central world make this ten times the fun.
  21. Thanks, Gary, I'm glad you like the idea of hunky heroes becoming hunky angels. Maybe those yummy pics in the CotT topic inspired me to come up with Diego. Luckily, Aditus was delighted with the idea of Sablo having an older brother, and the collaboration sort of took off from there. We'll see where we end up and what Death is up to.
  22. Thanks, buddy. I'm glad you found the story. This time I have Aditus to help me keep those Cupids in line. There is definitely something fishy going on.
  23. Just wait @aditus will start you on German soon. Thanks, we having fun there too. Borrowing the Cupid Central characters for my A.I. story was great, but writing together is even better.
  24. Thanks, hopefully Aditus and I can live up to expectations.
  25. We should definitely have used that joke. Yes, I was wondering the same as you during the first chapter. As for the answer...
