Fortunately enlightenment has come to many. Shotgun weddings are no longer the norm. Single parents are no longer something to look down your nose at. I think as each generation becomes the parents, you will see more and more improvement in social norms. You teased me earlier about teaching Wings to think for herself. I am pretty happy with the way she turned out. Hope I live to see how HER kids do!

I use Listerine all the time. Its great for clearing up a condition called rain rot in horses. Long periods of wet weather can cause a fungal infection.

LOL I would, but hubby IS an arachniphobe! He calls ME when he spots one! They can have the attic, and basement if they want em. Stay outta my bedroom! And bugs of any sort are verboten in my kitchen! Don't get me wrong, I am not a vicious insect killer. When camping I tollerate all sorts of multilegged critters. I am in their teritory after all. But in MY house...

There are reasons sometimes. I am not arachniphobic, since by definition that is an unreasonable fear, but spiders are killed on sight in my home. Not only is it a bug that has invaded my ( human) space, i seem to have an allergy. A teensy one walked over my cheek while cleaning a storage area at work, something we called a pallet spider as they seemed to love the pallet storage pile. I simply brushed it away, no freak out. The following morning i woke to half my face swollen to the point i could not open my right eye at all. Once the meds reduced the swelling a line of about 8 bites could be seen across the cheek.

There are reasons to wait to start reading. In this case it was simply a case of so much to read, so little time, and such short battery life. Now that I have a new tablet, the reading time (battery time) is doubled, although the free time to read has not.

Considering recent news about Alabama, Georgia, Ohio, and other states trying to interfere in a woman's right to make their own decisions, I'm amazed at the timing of this chapter considering it was written so long ago. My daughter came up with a quote yesterday. "When a baby comes out of a man's body, he can have the right to pass judgement on abortion, and birth control. Till then..." I've no idea who said it, but it sparked a lively discussion. I feel daddy has a right to an opinion, but everyone else should just butt out!

Sort of surprised there was no mention of research into birth defects etc. While there is no evidence of birth defects in children conceived while on the pill, there is apparently a higher risk of breast or prostate cancer later in life. MIT students = really smart kid so I cant picture Lucy NOT digging for info as soon as she suspected pregnancy. Kudos to Oz for jumping to agree when Ritchie asked for financial help. Used to be he would have hung back and said money was CJ's decision.
